QUICK FIXES UPSCALE YOUR GLASS-FRONT BOOKCASE Our editor, JoElle Knight, is always looking for ways to incorporate more storage into the co;age home she shares with her 3 children and husband. Recently, she bought a set of standard white bookshelves with clear glass doors to provide pantry storage for food while their kitchen underwent renovaAons. Not one to pass by an opportunity to bring design into her projects, she decided to paper the backs of the top half of the shelves in a chinoiserie-pa;erned, removable wallpaper. But, instead of papering the backs of the bo;om of the shelves, she papered the backs of the glass doors to block the assortment of food items from sight. The finished project is a gallery of mementos and family pictures on display while blocking sight of the muchneeded pantry storage. Remote control ba;ery puck lights adhered to the tops of the shelves are the finishing touch to a budget makeover. Want to recreate this project for your home?
