Details: Tour the historic homes with the theme “1774: Stories From the Archives.” The Heritage Center will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Dec. 24, 1774, original seal and Act of the Province of Pennsylvania that freed Henry William Stiegel from debtors’ prison. Other historic items will include the Manheim clock makers and tall case clocks as well as Civil War firearms. At the Colonial log homes, tour guides will engage guests in conversations about what may have occurred inside and outside the houses during the winter of 1774 with the theme “Whispers of Independence in Manheim.” All three buildings will also be open during the Women’s Club of Manheim’s Holiday Tour of Homes on Dec. 8. Additionally, keep an eye out for the Belsnickel throughout Manheim during the holidays, and if you see him, report your sighting on the Manheim Historical Society’s Facebook page.

Main St.; and Divine Consign, 37 Market Square, or from any Women’s Club member. Tickets will also be available on the day of the tour at the participating homes. Money raised from the tour is used for grants and scholarships and other areas of need in the Manheim community.
