The Home Depot, the world’s largest home improvement retailer, announced that Matt Carey has been named executive vice president (EVP) of customer experience, effective immediately. Also, Fahim Siddiqui has been named EVP and chief information officer. In this newly formed role, Carey will be responsible for leading the vision, design, and development of new and innovative solutions. As CIO, Siddiqui will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s technology strategy, infrastructure and software development. Lowe’s named Brandon Sink to the post of executive vice president, chief financial officer. He replaces Dave Denton, who took a post at Pfizer. Sink is described Sink as a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of finance and accounting background. He joined Lowe’s in 2010 and has held a variety of roles, including in finance, strategy and accounting.

Boise Cascade has announced the promotion of two business leaders: Joanna Barney has been promoted to vice president, western operations, building materials distribution (BMD) division. A two-time All American soccer. player in college, Barney is a member of Leading Women Executives (LWE) and serves on the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion steering committee. Boise Cascade also promoted Troy Little to vice president, finance and commodity sales, wood products division. He joined Boise Cascade in 1990 as an internal auditor. He has a broad range of experience on both the financial side and the operational side, including serving as regional manager for six manufacturing facilities in Oregon. Scenic Road Manufacturing, the Lancaster County, Pa.-based maker of wheelbarrows, promoted Tom McDermott to VP of sales and marketing. He joined Scenic McDermott Road in 2011 and was previously national sales manager. HBSDealer named Kathryn Abrahamsen as marketing manager. She graduated from Penn State in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations.
