Q. Can you please tell us in brief about your company?

Digital MarkEthics is like a dream come true for me – that dream of which I was unaware before it happened. The future is indeed unpredictable and I can vow it from the core of my heart. Digital MarkEthics is the reflection of my belief, knowledge, and efforts that as a purveyor I always believe. Our company is just sprouted but in just one and half years, it is growing steadily as we are nurturing it with creativity, new ideas, experience, and dedication.

Digital MarkEthics is supported by a blend of young minds and experts that we have selected from different parts of our country. We follow an ownership-driven approach while serving domestic and international clientele with success.

Q. Tell us about the key person? What

are his/her role and responsibility in the company?

Well, as this is a small company; rather a family where each one has a vision and objective to achieve. Everyone plays an important role and therefore it wouldn’t be wrong to say that everyone is a “Key Person”. Well, roles are different for sure, I myself try to bind everyone together. My daily interaction with the team starts by conducting the morning call. Apart from that, I have to take care of the business development, operations, accounting, and HR activities. As you can see, I am not only the Chief Executive Officer but also the Chief Entertainment Officer as well.

Q. Who are your clients?

My clients or better I can say my growth partners are fellow companies from different domains whom we support in digital marketing and branding operations. In this one and half years; we have completed 45+ projects of web design, development, content marketing, ad campaign, branding, social media, and digital consulting. We have partners from different industries like IT services, education, EdTech, facility management, drone, finance, blockchain, healthcare, travel, software quality assurance, software development, food and restaurants, and many more.

Q. How are you different from people working in a similar domain?

I personally believe you have to mark your niche to sustain this highly competitive market. I always work with complete dedication, commitment with an ethical approach. I never misguide our partners with false hopes. Digital MarkEthics is the epitome of honest as well as dedicated service in digital marketing. And this honesty which I consider a rare attribute in the present time is our signature style. We work in an ownership-based concept where every member has to nurture every project as their own. When they are connected with the projects; the outcome is always better; I must say.

As a founder of a digital marketing company, I believe that mapping the digital customer experience journey is critical for businesses looking to optimize their online presence. By mapping the journey, businesses can gain a better understanding of their customers' needs, preferences, and behaviors, and tailor their digital marketing strategies accordingly.

Q. What is the goal of your company, and how are you planning to achieve it?

The goal of our company is to help businesses maximize their online presence and achieve their digital marketing objectives by transforming them into vibrant brands. We plan to achieve this by offering customized digital marketing solutions that leverage the latest technologies and strategies to reach and engage target audiences. Our team of experts works closely with clients to understand their unique needs and develop tailored plans that drive results. Q. What were the challenges faced by the company during the pandemic? And how did you overcome them?

Digital MarkEthics was started during the Pandemic period, so we can say that the challenge of the Pandemic is the instigator of our initiative. So we can say that the Pandemic was not a challenge for us as it reminded me to work harder until you get success.

From the initial days, our company supported remote working culture. We always maintain transparency and integrate routine into our work structure. It helps us to meet the deadline in a more organized manner. We are proud that we were recognized as Amazing Workplaces under the Work From Home category.

Q. How are new immersive technologies making a positive impact on enterprises? And what new technologies are you using in your organization?

The technological demography is changing rapidly and new things are taking place in a frequent manner. As a part of this vast industry, you have to make sure to adapt all the emerging methodologies to make a difference.

For example, artificial intelligence is making a buzz all around these days. We are also using it to speed up our research process. We use different technologies as tools that will help our team to execute things in a better and faster manner. Apart from that, we use different analytic tools to understand the impact of our activities. We also use a few automated and scheduled tools to gain maximum impact on minimum time.

Q. What are you looking forward to accomplishing most in 2023?

This year is a crucial year both for me and my company. We are expecting a transformation in terms of growth and success. We are hoping to strengthen our 360-degree branding services and uplift our service to the next level.

Q. What are the new trends you see in the industry today?

I see several emerging trends in the industry, including the increased use of artificial intelligence and machine learning, the growth of voice search and smart speakers, and the rising popularity of video marketing. Additionally, there is a growing emphasis on personalized marketing and the use of data analytics to gain deeper insights into consumer behavior. We are excited to leverage these trends to help our clients achieve their digital marketing goals and stay ahead of the competition.

Q. What challenges do you have to overcome to get here today?

Breaking free from the comfort zone of working in a company for more than 12+ years and diving headfirst into the world of entrepreneurship is no easy feat. Especially, in a global pandemic and the task seems nearly insurmountable. Yet, I refused to be deterred. I faced down the challenges that stood in my way with determination and resilience.

The first hurdle was leaving the comfort zone of a stable job. It took great courage to take that leap of faith and trust in my own abilities. But I knew that the reward of creating something truly my own was worth the risk.

The second obstacle was the naysayers. People warned me of the risks, the potential for failure, and the difficult road ahead. But I refused to let their negativity bring me down. Instead, I used their doubts as fuel to drive me forward.

And then there was the pandemic. Forming a team and finding new clients while working remotely presented a unique set of challenges. In the end, I discovered that success is not about avoiding obstacles, but about having the courage to overcome them. With every challenge that I conquered, my confidence grew. And with that confidence came the ability to create a startup that I am truly proud of.

Q. What does success look like to you?

As the CEO of Digital MarkEthics, success to me is achieving our clients' digital marketing goals while maintaining our commitment to ethical practices and transparency. It means delivering measurable results that have a positive impact on our clients' business performance, while also prioritizing honesty, integrity, and accountability in everything we do. We believe that by maintaining a strong focus on ethical practices, we can build long-lasting relationships with our clients and contribute to the greater good of society.

Q. How do you encourage people working in your organization?

We have an ownership-based working approach where we encourage everyone to take ownership of their work and be accountable for their actions. We have adopted several new strategies to stay ahead of the competition and deliver exceptional results for our clients. Additionally, we have implemented a more collaborative and agile approach to project management to increase efficiency and ensure the timely delivery of projects. We are also prioritizing ethical practices and transparency to build trust with our clients and maintain a positive reputation in the industry. We have also started UDiGiMe, a digital marketing training institute with an internship program very recently.

The best advice I can give to readers is to stay curious, stay hungry, and never stop learning. Whether it's through reading, networking, or seeking out new experiences, make it a priority to invest in your personal and professional growth. Remember, the journey is just as important as the destination, so enjoy the ride and embrace every opportunity to learn and grow.

25 Eventful Years of Trials, Tribulations & Triumphs

“Give the world the best you have, and the best will come to you”, said the famous American poet Madeline Bridge.

Looking at where KIIT Deemed to be University stands today, I cannot but confess how true she was. Success has indeed come our way as we endeavored to set benchmarks. But we haven’t stopped at that. We need to aim higher!

On the Silver Jubilee year of the institute, I am reminded of all the struggles and challenges encountered along the way to building this institution. KIIT did not develop overnight to become one of the best-known centers of learning in India. It was built brick-by-brick. It was the product of a determination, and a desire to provide the best education to students coming from all sections of Odisha. I dreamt about an institution that occupied a place of pride in the firmament of education. I gave the best I had in my quest to deliver the best. As we march ahead, the task is to sustain the momentum and work in tandem to attain greater excellence.

The Genesis of KIIT:

Raised amid abject poverty, I knew the value of education to lead a meaningful life. Odisha during my younger days was struggling to get its feet together. Hunger and poverty had stymied growth prospects. A handful of educational institutes was all that could nurture human development in my State.

The idea of KIIT took root during these days. The objective was to create opportunities, fill a critical void and develop a vibrant campus that supports talents, remains at the forefront of research and technological development, and weaves a new success story for Odisha. The task was overwhelming but not resolved.

Celebrated entrepreneur Walt Disney once said, “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” Such inspiring words became the bedrock of our mission to empower all through education.

We dared to dream and dared to dream big. The KIIT Industrial Training Institute (KIIT-ITI) was the first post of our journey ahead. It was a small beginning, but a significant event to realize our larger objectives. Soon, we stepped into the higher education space and in June 1997, KIIT took shape as an institute of higher learning offering engineering, MBA, and MCA programs. The year 2004

proved a milestone for KIIT when it was declared a Deemed to be University. The decades that followed saw the incredible transformation of KIIT as one of the best educational destinations in India, wooing students from abroad in equal measures. Today, it is ranked among the 20 best universities in the country.

As KIIT is celebrating the significant milestone of completing 25 years (1997 - 2022), it has become a trusted destination for professional education for students from all parts of India and over 65 countries. It has been consistently achieving academic accolades transforming itself into a world-class knowledge hub.

The University has countless talents who not only are celebrated names in their respective domains, but they are also contributing to their nation’s growth as successful bureaucrats, professionals, entrepreneurs, and start-up leaders.

The KISS Story:

But we did not stop at that. We wanted the tribal communities to reap the fruits of the development process through education-led empowerment. Odisha cannot develop without empowering its indigenous groups who constitute 28 percent of the State’s population.

I would often remember a memorable quote from Albert Einstein. “Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.”

Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) was born out of this imagination – a commitment to mainstreaming the uninitiated indigenous children. Today, KISS is home to 30,000 students and enjoys the reputation of being the largest institute and the first-ever university exclusively for indigenous children in the world. It is a residential campus from end to end and offers education, boarding, and all amenities to children free of cost from the UG to PG. For many, it is more than an institute. It is a center that gives wings to their dreams.

Since its inception, KISS has been respecting the diversity of indigenous languages and dialects. It has consistently focused on imparting classroom teaching in the mother tongue at elementary levels before transitioning to a common language. This one of its kind pioneering effort of KISS took a concrete shape in the form of Mother TongueBased Multilingual Education in 2013.

The high point for KISS came very recently when it won the prestigious UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize 2022 for its outstanding literacy programme. There cannot be any bigger achievement for KISS than this. And there cannot be a bigger achievement for me as well than this award. In a way, this award has come as a vindication for me – that the best way for tribal uplift is through education.

KIIT-Led Economic Growth:

The development of KIIT and its constituent units have heralded an unmistakable growth in the education space in Eastern India and contributed to the scaled-up economic activities. With the growing opportunities, the city of Bhubaneswar has expanded in its scale and scope along its northern belt.

Much of the economic development is centered around this part of the city. It has acted as a magnet not only for big and small commercial enterprises, the institute has to a larger extent influenced the development of the IT hub around its periphery. Needless to say, thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities it has created over the years.

Today we are pioneers in research, development, and innovation. The KIIT Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI) is one of its kind in Odisha. It has incubated many hundred business entities out of which 160 have graduated to set up full-scale commercial enterprises generating 5000 direct jobs.

Unknown to many, KIIT is among only seven institutions in India selected by Boeing India for its Boeing University Innovation Leadership Development (BUILD) programme to boost aerospace entrepreneurship.

Research and innovation are important hallmarks of a world-class university. KIIT has established 19 Centers of Excellence with industry to promote collaborative research. KIIT Faculty are actively involved in research and consultancy works attracting financial support to the tune of a few million dollars every year. Currently, nearly 100 research and consultancy projects funded by various national and international funding agencies like UBS Promedica Foundation, Switzerland; Karolinska Institute, Sweden; DST, DBT, MNRE, Govt. of India, Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences, etc. are ongoing with substantial budget outlay.

Outreach Activities:

In a unique direct development action, KIIT has transformed a remote village (Kalarabank) in Odisha into a ‘Smart Village’ with all the modern amenities of a city. The Panchayat (Manpur) has also been developed as a Model Panchayat.

The University is also spearheading women empowerment initiatives like ‘Kanya Kiran’, at the state level, and Kalinga Fellowship, at the national level.

It is actively engaged in the Skilling India drive and has successfully merged academics with skill training to enhance the employability of the youths. The institute has provided skill training – both vocational and high-end – in a wide range of disciplines to over a lakh youths and facilitated their gainful employment and self-employment.

Among its numerous community outreach projects, KIIT is facilitating developmental work in one aspirational district of Odisha. The University has also contributed immensely in the field of art, literature, culture, film, media, and spiritualism.

KIIT & KISS Success in Sports:

Both KIIT and KISS have produced students who have went on to represent India in major sporting events such as the Olympics, Asiad, and the Commonwealth Games. We have produced champions, gold medallists, and record-setting athletes. Our KISS Rugby team has even won the Junior Rugby World Cup.

HOW TO BE CONFIDENT ENOUGH??

Sometimes being humiliated or disrespected will terribly affect the mind of a person and make them have more negativity and self-esteem. The majority of people will become introverts in order to escape from any situations ( hanging out, public speaking, making friends, etc). We have often seen schoolchildren bullying each other and adults have also made many lives miserable in one or another ways. Apparently, it is something that people need. Sometimes it is between the bully and the victim, but almost everywhere, entire groups are treated as inferior. Often because they have a different origin, colour, gender, or religion.

This behavior has major consequences for the self-confidence of a person. It can lead to insecurity, depression, fear of failure, adjustment problems, and loneliness. The person who bullies or treats others as inferior is often not sufficiently aware of the consequences of his or her behavior.

RECAP OF LOCKDOWN EFFECT ON THE EDUCATION SYSTEM IN THE YEAR 2020-21

The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the world in ways unimaginable. As we look back on the past two years and the harsh repercussions of the pandemic that continue until today, it is apparent that one of the most impacted sectors was education. Neither the world nor educational institutions were prepared to embrace the shift to online platforms brought on at lightning speed.

Lockdown totally ruined the education system in the year 2020-21, and the side effects can be seen now too. Day by day, due to an increase in cases the holidays were announced which drastically decreased the student's as well as teachers' interest in studying as well teaching. Even though schools, colleges, and universities have started, students are still not regular in classes. In 2020-21, the direct impact was on the country's economy. Many students demanded to cancel the exams, and no proper online classes were held, but the institutions took proper fees.

Many universities conducted online exams, in which 99% of students openly copied and submitted scanned answer sheets. Many parents requested that private institutions give concessions in college as well as transportation fees. Few accepted the request and few denied it. Universities, on the other hand, said “ we need fees, because we have to pay our teaching and nonteaching staff”.UNESCO reported that around 118 schools were closed due to the pandemic. More than 1 billion students were affected by the education system. In countries like Australia, Sweden, and Greenland, schools were opened.

Online classes were good for the short term, but it’s not the solution for education. Internet connectivity was and still is choppy, and quite expensive for underprivileged students to gain access to. In addition, many children from less fortunate backgrounds do not have access to desktops or laptops allowing them to take part in courses.

In addition, remote education has shown the need for much more support, and self-development courses, for children to grow academically.

Online tutoring was the challenge that was responded to with the rise of online tutoring platforms and digital learning Apps, to complement the journey of learning. Despite heightened disengagement levels due to the loss of social interactions (especially amongst younger children), students did learn new skills, such as time management and responsibility. With reduced learning time, estimated at an approximate 2 to 5 hours of screen time, depending on the student's age, along with the loss of social connections, the development of the child, as a whole, has been impeded. The numerous changes when life returns to ‘normal’ post-crisis, with an abundance of summer activities, self-development courses, and more personalized learning modules to enrich all facets of the student's learning journey.

Rebuilding and repair efforts by the organization have been focused on enhancing the infrastructure and facilities of schools.

Many adults including small children go through this. This generation has zero tolerance for anything. If someone insults them, makes fun of them, breaks their trust, betrays them etc. The only solution they feel is quitting their life without thinking about their family and loved ones.

You are capable of doing anything you want. Nothing is hard.

It’s okay not to be okay. You define your worth.

It’s never too late to heal. You are more than enough. Accept yourself, love yourself, and keep moving forward.

If you want to fly high, then stop giving up/ overthinking.

Worrying won’t help you to gain control of uncontrollable circumstances. The progress that feels slow is still progress.

You are allowed to say NO to the things which you don’t like without giving any explanations.

Building a beautiful life for yourself. When someone is bitter/ rude towards you, it has much more to do with them than with you.

Rest when you need to.

It's okay to have bad days. This too shall pass.

You are perfect and unique in your own way.

You are worthy and enough. Make time to heal.

Cleanse your environment completely. Practice more self-love and care.

Spend more time with people who uplift you.

Spend more time doing things you love.

HOW TO OVERCOME FROM MENTAL ILLNESS?

Walking for around 30 to 35 minutes per day.

Practise meditation. Read some good books. Get some sunlight, don’t restrict yourself in the darkroom.

Hydrate yourself ( drink plenty of water instead of coffee)

Picture what you want on your mental television.

Write a diary.

Consult a doctor if you are extremely in need of counselling. Spread positivity and surround yourself with non-toxic people. It may take time to come over from depression, but it's not impossible.

Always think about happy thoughts ( because thoughts have wings and they can fly)

Learn to set boundaries. Stop trying to please everyone. Embrace uncertainty.

It can be difficult for adults to take care of their families, careers, and stresses at the same time.

Many times, worry and fear can get the best of you when your overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done.

As a result, here are six work-life balance tips on how to take care of your family and your career without getting overly stressed.

1. Set Goals:

An important way to remove stress is to set goals for yourself when you manage your family or career. When you get up in the mornings, try to set some daily goals for you to accomplish. When you accomplish these goals, you will feel happier and more confident to do more things.

2. Delegate:

When taking care of your family, get your spouse to help you out. If your kids are older, get them to assist you. If you are at work, only take on what you can handle. Don’t try to do everything all at once. Learn to delegate and work with other people.

3. Evaluate Your Situation:

If you try to do everything, you will get stressed out and anxious. A person can only do so much in a given day. Learn to manage your responsibilities. If you feel like you are doing too much, then take a break and evaluate your situation.

4. Learn to Calm Down:

Take a deep breath and try to find something to do to get your mind off of your anxieties and stresses. A person could take a walk, listen to some music, read the newspaper, watch TV, play on the computer, or do an activity that will give them a fresh perspective on things. This will distract you from your current worries.

5. Prioritize:

Try to do things in terms of their importance. Let’s say that you have to clean the living room, go to the supermarket, and wash the dishes. You decide to go to the supermarket since that is the most important thing that needs to be accomplished. You make the choice to do the other two tasks later on. Determine what needs to be done right away and do those things first.

It is much easier to accomplish something if you know what you are going to do ahead of time. Proper planning will help reduce your everyday stresses and help you to stay organized.

6. Communication is Important:

: It is important to talk to your friends and family in order to avoid any potential problems. Get into the habit of talking to others in order to get things accomplished. Do not get upset when things don’t work according to plan. Learning how to work with others can save you a lot of time and prevent any worrying.

Worrying can make things worse. All you can do is to do your best each day, hope for the best, and when something does happen, take it in stride. If you still have trouble dealing with the stress and anxiety of everyday life, then talk to a mental health counselor who can give you additional advice.
