5. Work on the project with your friends.
Poetry reading and writing.
If you were a pronoun, who would you be?
One day I sat and thought and thought, what pronoun could I be?
Could I be you, or she, or he? Or could I simply just be me?
My eyes went up, my eyes went down there I was searching all around.
I made my decision quick as a bee I had no problem, I wanted to be ME!
Read the poem again and find words that rhyme with she and write them below:
Follow the instructions:
1. Write a poem using pronouns with a partner. They can be long or short, as long as they include pronouns.
2. Your teacher will set up a “pronoun poetry writing station” that you may visit when you have completed other classwork.
3. There will be a box or a basket with construction paper, markers, glue, and old magazines so when you have completed a poem you may create a poster to hang when the poems are presented at the pronoun poetry contest.
4. As you work on the project, only at designated times during the day, think about how to make a program or to decide what music to play between the presentation of your poem.
5. Your teacher will tell you when the Pronoun Poetry Contest will begin so prepare yourself well for the competition.
6. When the poems have all been recited, you will vote for the favorite pronoun poem.
Pronoun contest using poetry.

4. Work through all the letters of your subject word until you have created a line for each letter.

Happy Birthday Thunder
Raul was preparing Thunder’s birthday party. Thunder was his pet dog.
Thunder didn’t know it was his birthday party. “Bow-wow, bow-wow,” barked Thunder.
“It’s your birthday!” said Raul. Then Raul put a birthday hat on Thunder.
“ Ha, ha, ha,” laughed Raul. Thunder did not like his birthday hat.
