Lieutenant Governor’s Letter Hello everyone! I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving! Thank you so much for helping make the Duescollecting season a breeze and responding my emails promptly. It means a lot! Thanksgiving is just the beginning of the Holiday season, and just remember that it can be a stressful time for everyone! Your friends and family are probably very busy, so give everyone a little breathing room! Also, it is a perfect time for Key Clubs to come in and make a difference! More on that on Page 8. Lastly, a quick shout-out to Seton Catholic Central for inviting me to their Induction! I had a wonderful time meeting their members! Thank you for reading! I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Holidays! Yours in Service, Erica Swirsky, Lieutenant Governor

If you have not submitted dues or responded to the email regarding your dues status, please do that as soon as possible. If you have questions, feel free to email me at ericaswirsky.ltg@nydkc.org
Lieutenant Governor Election If you are a Junior or younger and you are looking to run for Lieutenant Governor for the upcoming Service Year, please email me at ericaswirsky.ltg@nydkc.org as soon as possible. The elections will be happening sooner than you think!
Leadership Training Conference What: Leadership Training Conference (LTC) When: March 23rd—March 25th, 2018 Where: The Desmond Hotel in Albany Theme: Birthday Bash! What is the LTC? The LTC is when hundreds of Key Clubbers from all over the New York District gather to celebrate a year of service and learn more about leading and serving. It is an amazing experience! This beautiful graphic was made by Eva Reese, Division 1 LtG!
District Project This year’s District Project is Sunrise Day Camp. Sunrise Day Camp is a project that gives children with cancer a chance to laugh without stress completely free of charge. And since this is a day camp, patients are still able to continue their treatment. There are currently three camps located in New York (Long Island, Pearl River, Staten Island). You can check out their website here.
Governor’s Project This year’s Governor Project is The Honeybee Con-
servancy! As you may know, the bees are dying at an alarming rate. This organization stands to help rebuild the population and educate the population about what a danger the loss of bee could be. The Conservancy builds Bee Sanctuaries that schools, clubs, or people can adopt. You can visit their website here. Note: Please do not send money directly to these organizations. Instead, please send them to District Administrator John Goldstein at 590 Mullock Road, Port Jervis, NY 12771. Included with your check, please send a note stating which charity your check is for. Checks should be made out to Mr. Goldstein and your club name and Division should be included. A big check will be presented to the organizations at the LTC!
Key Club During the Holidays Unfortunately, some families are not as lucky as others during the holidays. But, your Key Club can help! Here are some ideas to help out your community during the Holiday season:
Fundraiser for local Food Pantry
Drive for Food Pantry
A Toy Drive
A Winter-Themed Run/Walk
Christmas Card making
Ornament making
The New York Minute Our Governor Gavin Li puts out short videos every month, recapping the month and giving you all the important updates. It displays due dates you should be aware and lets you know of any upcoming events! You can access the New York Minute here.
