Gary Drostle has been producing site-specific artworks since 1985. He specialises in large-scale hand-crafted murals and mosaics, aiming to produce art that is complementary to the surrounding landscape and architecture, and that can be appreciated as modern landmarks. • Murals Mural work ranges from domestic trompe l’oeil to historical panoramas for public sites. The murals are undertaken in Keim mineral paints, artists’ acrylics, enamels, buon fresco or ceramic on-glaze colours. They can be painted onto cement render, plaster, MDF panels, canvas, metal or glazed tile. • Mosaics Mosaics are usually made off site using the traditional reverse technique. Materials include handmade Venetian glass smalti, 24-carat gold smalti, vitreous glass, iridised glass, frost-proof ceramic, stone, marble or mixed media.
Sitework Once fabricated, mosaics are installed by Gary Drostle himself and his team.

Fountains Direct Ltd supplies millstone and boulder fountain kits. • Millstone fountains Millstone fountains provide attractive, relatively inexpensive features that are easy to maintain. Self-contained, the packages allow water to be introduced into an environment without the need to install space-consuming water surfaces. Externally they can be used to great effect in courtyards, patios and gardens. Internally they can be used in hotels, offices, leisure centres and hospitals to liven up foyers and entrance areas. • Boulder fountains Boulder fountains are similar to the millstone fountains, using a large boulder in place of a millstone. They form an attractive, self-contained feature that can be easily installed and maintained in external and internal locations in hotels, offices, leisure centres, hospitals, courtyards, patios and gardens.
Composition and manufacture Millstones are made from aerated, lightweight concrete as standard, or in natural stone to order. All boulders are natural stone, sourced from standard quarry stocks.
