Zaun manufactures Axiom and Optima profile rigid mesh systems for general perimeter fencing applications. Panels have 3m post centres, which means they use fewer posts than other systems.

Axiom Axiom perimeter fencing is a lightweight, costeffective profile mesh fencing system with a contemporary and non-threatening design. It can be used for general perimeter applications at a wide range of locations, including commercial sites, schools and industrial estates. Axiom welded mesh panels are made from single 5mm wires which are resistance-welded at each intersection to create a large 200x50mm open mesh pattern. Three V-pressings along the length of each panel provide strength and rigidity. Height: 1730, 1930 and 2330mm.

Optima Optima medium security perimeter fencing is made using 6mm horizontal wires and 4mm vertical wires. The mesh pattern varies along the length of the panel giving the fence an attractive appearance. Height: 1750, 1950 and 2350mm. Composition and manufacture Stone Fence™ is comprised of double-wire mesh panels which create a container for natural infill materials including pebbles, stones and recycled broken brick. The infill provides a natural shelter for insects and wildlife, and can be planted to reduce environmental impact on projects. This makes Stone Fence™ a popular choice for playgrounds, parks and housing developments.

Dimensions Heights of 650 to 2405mm can be achieved at 200mm intervals. CLD recommends a minimum diameter of 75mm for the infill material. Heights over 1450mm require root-fixing with a strip foundation (non-load-bearing). Heights of 1450mm and below require a 400x200mm strip footing (non-load-bearing).

Finish and appearance Hot-dip galvanising is the recommended finishing. However, elements can also be polyester powder coated in a wide range of RAL colours.

ColourFence high-strength metal panel fencing is used to provide an attractive, colourful and secure boundary for schools, camp sites, holiday homes and residential properties. ColourFence comes with a 25-year materials guarantee, is secure, fire and wind-resistant, withstanding gusts of up to 130mph.

Composition and manufacture ColourFence is manufactured in the company’s UK factory from high tensile steel. Post and rail components are made from 0.8mmthick ZINC HI TEN® G550, a hot-dipped zinccoated, structural steel with a spangled surface. Infill panel components are produced from 0.35mm-thick ZINCALUME® G550S, skin-passed to improve surface quality. Both elements have a guaranteed minimum yield strength of 550MPa. Both are ‘self-healing’ – the zinc in the surrounding coating protects any scratches or cut edges. In the presence of moisture, a reaction occurs between the zinc and steel which results in galvanic protection of the exposed steel, thereby inhibiting corrosion.

Composition and manufacture • Fencing Fencing is made from UV-stabilised PVCu formulations of the highest quality. It will not become brittle, splinter, peel, warp or rot due to age or climate conditions. It is strong and durable, yet flexible in the event of a collision. Smooth, rounded surfaces plus the fencing’s ability to flex, significantly reduce the risk of injury to the public. • Rail The rail also provides strength combined with flexibility, is safe for the public, and is comfortable to lean against. Kangular® decorative screens provide framing and partitioning for domestic and commercial properties, including gardens, dining areas, enclosures and other outdoor spaces. Stainless steel, corten steel and timber slatted screens are available in a range of heights and styles, and can be customised with individual designs, logos and corporate branding, as well as lighting and other fittings. Clients include major construction companies, local councils and developers.

Composition and manufacture Screens are manufactured in the UK from stainless steel, corten steel, powder-coated steel and FSC-certified timber. All products are 100% recyclable with a lifespan of at least 20 years.

The Green Barrier™ range is available in living or dried woven willow, and is suitable for commercial and residential applications. Products include absorptive acoustic barriers for road, rail and industrial noise-reduction applications, as well as lighter, non-acoustic instant boundary screening and hedging options. • Acoustic Green Barrier™ The acoustic Green Barrier™ is aesthetically attractive and offers sustainable acoustic protection provided by the 120mm Rockdelta absorptive core. SmogStop® Barrier is the world’s first roadside pollution barrier proven to significantly reduce noise and hazardous NOx (nitrogen oxide) and VOC (volatile organic carbon) emissions. The system has no moving parts and does not require electricity. It works in both visible and UV light.

Operation SmogStop® Barrier reduces air pollution in two ways. Firstly, the patented aerodynamic design disperses pollution. Secondly, the patented photocatalytic coating on the barrier breaks down the VOCs and NOx compounds, transforming them into harmless by-products. SmogStop® Barrier also effectively reduces noise pollution.

Sitting at the same height as the ground surface and taking up on 1m of road space, WHIS®stone will reduce traffic noise by 2.5dB, or up to 4dB when using a double row. The concrete elements are safe to drive over and have a drainage system installed underneath. • WHIS®wall low-height sound barrier WHIS®wall combines a corten steel defractor with a low-level concrete sound barrier. Installation and maintenance Greenscreen’s lightweight modular construction enables it to be installed quickly on all types of terrain, including sites where soils have low loadbearing capacity that causes problems for heavier systems. Greenscreen panels are slim and take up a minimal amount of space on site. With appropriate footings, barriers up to 6m high can be easily achieved by stacking the panels.

Kokowall® is a range of natural-looking noise barriers with an outer layer of durable coconut fibre which allows plants to grown on one or both sides.
