The inspiration for the Arlo brand came about when Arlo Green Design saw the innovative and original designs coming from Irish designers. Most of these designers were not involved in the street furniture business but were able to turn their talents to most industrial design projects with an equal amount of flair. This first collection of urban elements features the work of Davin Larkin, a lecturer in furniture design at The Irish National Centre of Excellence for Furniture Design in Letterfrack in the West of Ireland. His proposals for this first volume of work show the scope of his design abilities and reflect the young and contemporary profile of the population of Ireland. The inherent strength, rigidity and design flexibility of metal (steel in particular) make it ideal for use as seating combined with planters. It has an aluminium framework and either FSC approved timber or treated softwood slats. The standard table is 1200x1200x750mm high, but can be produced to any dimensions.
Composition and manufacture Picnic tables are produced in 316 stainless steel, powder coated galvanised steel, or aluminium and can be finished in hardwood timber. Options include perforated stainless steel, disabled access and engraving.

Torc is a family-run business specialising in handmade bespoke pots and planters. Working with a team of talented artisans, the company is frequently commissioned to provide one-off planter designs and outdoor furniture for both commercial and residential outdoors spaces and gardens. The planters are extremely durable, and manufactured and supplied using materials and processes that minimise environmental impact.
Composition and manufacture Torc uses a variety of materials and processes selected to reduce the company’s carbon footprint. Up to 15% of cement is substituted with fly ash and micro-silica, and glass sand is used from recycled bottles. All water required for production is either harvested rainwater or recycled wash water. Torc pots are thrown by hand in layers with zero material waste, and no heat is required for the curing process. The strength of the mix also means that less material is needed compared to traditional cast products.

Plant selection To ensure the living wall remains full, vibrant and colourful all year round, a variety of plants and specimens should be considered. • Annuals: normally last one year but can provide an abundance of colour. • Edibles: herbs, vegetables and fruits; likely to be seasonal. • Succulents: require less water/maintenance and can last for many years. • Tropical: suitable for internal planting and can provide large green leaves. • Perennials: can last for many years when properly maintained.
Soils After plant selection has been made, a suitable soil for the plants must be chosen. • Annuals and edibles: a good quality potting mix with organic matter to stimulate growth. • Succulents: do not like wet feet, the potting mix must have good drainage. • Tropical and perennials: a good quality potting mix should be used with bark, perlite and pumice.
Installation G-WALL® planting system for garden office
When deciding on where to position G-WALL®, some consideration is required on the location to the sun. This may also have an impact on the choice of plants. North-facing will be shady; south-facing will be sunny; and east- or westfacing will experience both sun and shade.
Maintenance Living walls should be inspected regularly to check the condition of plants and soil. • Consideration should be given to replacing some plants and specimens every quarter to ensure living walls remains healthy and vibrant. • Underperforming varieties should be replaced. • Consider using a granular or liquid fertiliser. • During winter it is best to water during warmer moments, to avoid frost and icing. They are manufactured in a range of standard sizes or to special order using high-quality aluminium and UV-stable PETG sheeting. Only the top half of the shelter is clad to comply with UK and Irish regulations. Coated grey as standard, any standard BS or RAL colour is available to order. The shelter has adjustable feet to make installation easier on uneven surfaces. • Trolley shelters The AUTOPA Trolley Shelter is suitable for retail sites and will keep shopping trolleys dry and organised at all times. The standard shelter is designed to fit inside a car parking space and can store up to 36 standard sized trolleys. Round Wood of Mayfield has planned, erected and finished thousands of oak-framed buildings for over 20 years. • Bespoke buildings Bespoke oak-framed buildings range from porches, garden gazebos, garages and home offices, up to large leisure buildings and houses. Regardless of size, every project is approached with the same close attention to detail. • Kit buildings Alongside bespoke requirements, a range of oneto four-bay oak-framed garage kits is also available. These standard designs are offered with gable, hip or barn-end roofs and can include half bays, aisles and log stores.
Composition and manufacture All frames are made to order to the highest specification and traditionally crafted from green oak, using oak-pegged mortice and tenon joints. As the oak dries it will shrink and tighten, leaving a strong and durable structure. Over time the timber will weather to a soft silver lustre.

To ensure fit, frames are pre-assembled before leaving the workshop. They can be erected by Round Wood’s own nationwide team, or other carpenters/fitters who may already be on site.

Elefant Gratings specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of flat bar gratings and perforated planks. Applications range from walkways, plant housings and storage compounds, to screens, fencing, brise soleil, ventilation, vehicular grilles and balconies.
Composition and manufacture Gratings are manufactured in carbon steel, stainless steel, Corten A and aluminium. Planks are manufactured in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium. All products are made according to current British Standards guidelines.
Finish and appearance Carbon steel products are hot dip galvanised to BS EN 1461:2009 or polyester powder coated in standard RAL colours. Stainless steel products are chemically cleaned to BS EN 2516:1997 and bead blasted. Corten A products are self coloured. Aluminium products are anodised.

Compounds, housings and screens are supplied for both storage and the safe protection of mechanical plant. The solid steel construction provides a high level of security, durability and low maintenance. Ground-level compounds or roof-top housings are individually designed and can be supplied as a complete package or as custom-sized infill panels. • Louvres Robust steel louvred panels from either the Italia or Delta ranges combine ventilation and natural daylight with anti-climb properties. The different products provide alternative levels of visual screening (45–100%) and free area. • Gratings Panels are made from open mesh steel grating in a variety of apertures.
Finish and appearance All mild steel is hot-dip galvanised before optional polyester powder coating in any RAL colour for a long-lasting finish.
Technical support Lang+Fulton offers a full design service for panels, posts and access control, with detailed drawings for on-site fixing.
