CLD Fencing Systems Stone Fence™ decorative gabion walling Stone Fence™ is a decorative gabion walling system from CLD Fencing Systems.

Composition and manufacture

Stone Fence™ is comprised of twin welded wire mesh panels manufactured from at least 90% British and European steel. The panels provide a container for infill material such as pebbles, stone, broken bricks and other natural fillings. The infill provides a natural haven for insects and wildlife, and can be planted to reduce environmental impact on projects. This makes it popular for playgrounds, parks and housing developments.

Dimensions Heights of 650 to 2405mm can be achieved at 200mm intervals. CLD recommends a minimum diameter of 75mm for the infill material. Heights over 1450mm require root-fixing with a strip foundation (non-load-bearing). Heights of 1450mm and below require a 400x200 strip footing (non-load-bearing).

Finish and appearance Hot-dip galvanising is the recommended finishing. However, elements can also be polyester powder coated in a wide range of RAL colours.

They use close anti-climb mesh and heavy wires to create a robust barrier. • Critical security fencing ArmaWeave is a woven mesh fencing system designed to secure sites of critical national importance. Its tight mesh pattern and hightensile steel wires can significantly delay attacks from hand and powered non-contact tools, compared to traditional welded mesh systems. • 358 welded mesh fencing HiSec welded mesh fencing uses a popular 358 configuration. 358 mesh is difficult to cut and climb, and is suitable for high-security sites. It is used by the Home Office for prison facilities in the UK. HiSec DualSkin is a double-skin 358 system that has been specifically designed for applications that require a more robust fence than standard 358 mesh. The secondary panel is turned 90 degrees to make a very tight mesh pattern. Installation and maintenance Greenscreen’s lightweight modular construction enables it to be installed quickly on all types of terrain, including sites where soils have low loadbearing capacity that causes problems for heavier systems. Modular Walls manufactures cement-based boundary/perimeter wall that are used to create acoustic barriers for residential and commercial applications. The systems offer an attractive alternative to timber panelled systems. Panels can retain up to 750mm of soil when used with TerraFirm™ panels.

DBS is an innovative acoustic and anti-ballistic perimeter protection system that is suitable for any environment. It comprises plastic panels that can be incorporated onto any of Zaun’s range of fencing systems. It provides a screen or barrier to protect defence equipment or personnel.
