MESH MOBILITY FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY AND HEALTH
MESH will create the concept of sustainable student mobility, by combining health and environmental sustainability, and it will start in Portugal.
Mobility for Environmental Sustainability and Health, MESH, is a project created by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Portugal in the year of 2019/2020. This project aims at fostering sustainable habits within the volunteers of the Federation and international students, through the creation of self-development opportunities and implementing crucial changes to the practices of our national events. MESH is strictly connected with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, 12 and 13.

THE EVENTS
MESH Training
Taking place in Almada, the volunteers of ESN Portugal will participate in a training which aims at assessing the skill set specific for the positions they occupy in their local associations, inside the field of MESH.

Erasmus National Games On the first day of our national sports events - Erasmus National Games, ESN Portugal will organise a conference for international students, locals and volunteers. The goal is to inform them about issues connected with topics such as mental health, sports and food habits. Additionally, this event, which is expected to gather 200 international students to play and enjoy sports, will be designed to be environmentally friendly.
10
Erasmus National Meeting (ENM) This is the biggest event organised in Portugal for international students. ENM is organised by ESN Portugal and it gathers around 1000 youngsters from around the world. This event is designed to celebrate diversity and the Erasmus+ programme and it is located in the south of Portugal, in Albufeira. ENM will have different actions to promote healthy and responsible lifestyles. The event will be designed to be environmentally friendly.

THE TOOLKIT All actions in MESH will be carried out by a group of volunteers creating materials to inform the network and the international students about the topics. The project is designed by ESN Portugal for the civil society. Therefore, MESH will result in a Toolkit for NGOs with information, promotion material and recommendations in order to pave the path for a sustainable and responsible planet.
