How to apply

Whether you are continuing in your studies, returning to education after many years out of the classroom or looking to retrain or upskill, we can help you to reach your personal goals.

Access to HE

Access to Higher Education courses are ideal for those who have been out of education for several years or without the traditional qualifications for entry into university. The Access to HE courses develop your knowledge and study skills ready for higher education.

Foundation degrees

Foundation degrees (FdA or FdSc) are heavily employment based and normally take two or three years of study. These courses offer opportunities for students from a range of backgrounds, including those with previous experience rather than conventional entry requirements.

Hncs

Higher National Certificates (Level 4) are designed to provide skills/career-based qualifications. They also enable students to progress to honours degree programmes.

Degree and degree top-up programmes

On completion of our foundation degrees, you can progress on to the final Top-Up Award, which is a one year programme that takes your qualification up to a full degree programme.

Teaching qualifications

We offer a variety of routes into teaching in the post-16 sector. Practical placement experience is an essential component of this programme. We offer part-time routes, on an in-service basis.

Professional programmes

We offer a variety of professional courses awarded by professional bodies. These are excellent preparation for or upskilling in careers such as accounting, business, financial services and human resource management.
