We’ve been mercilessly teased by mother nature these last few weeks. Looming thunderclouds have promised a downpour, yet more often than not move off with hardly a smattering. The dark clouds have inspired many locals to capture the sky show. This photo is thanks to Amy Clarke. For more reader’s photos turn to page 22.

Community News Belli’s Christmas Dance Lillian Barry

News in brief Join in International Day of People with Disability community event at Cooroy’s Butter Factory Arts Centre on Tuesday 3 December from 10am to 4pm. This registered event is being run in conjunction with the exhibition: Colour is my Voice by Peter Rowe. All are welcome to attend the official opening on Tuesday 3 December at 6pm. Visit council’s gallery website.

Belli Hall's Christmas Dance on Saturday 16 November was attended by 101 dancers, ranging in age from teens through to seniors. The seniors out-danced the younger ones, putting on a fabulous display of the Jive, and showing us all how it is REALLY done. Visitors from far and wide attended the dance, some even bringing their caravans and camping overnight. As usual, the Sunshine Swing Band brought the evening to life with their fabulous live sound. We even found someone not quite asleep in the corner. It may have been Santa, or it may have been someone just as nice counting the takings! Mark your diaries for Belli's New Year's Eve dance, Tuesday 31 December. It promises to be another evening of fabulous dancing. What better way to see out the New Year!

Community News A Connection to Country

There was a good turnout of locals at Red Desert Gallery latest exhibition opening entitled A Connection to Country by indigenous artist Kuddtji Tjungurrayi. Gallery owner Paul Curtis is passionate about his friend's artwork and proud to champion it. The exhibition on Memorial Drive will be running until early next year.

Police beat Sergeant Martin White As Christmas approaches we are finding the usual spike in calls for service starting again. Our busiest time of the year is December into February, so bear that in mind if there is any delay in receiving a policing response to nonemergent situations. This festive season will be made worse with no relief officer being provided whilst local officers are on leave, so there will be occasions (in January particularly) where there are no local officers on duty. Unfortunately all surrounding stations are experiencing a similar drain on their staff and there are simply no available officers to provide relief duty at Eumundi. As nerves can become frayed at this time of the year I urge you to take a moment and consider what a beautiful part of the world you live in. Think about your actions and behaviour and its effect on others. Heat, stress, anger and alcohol are a volatile combination. We have had some recent dealings with citizens who have become aggressive and abusive. We will not tolerate such behaviour and it will result in arrest and cell time at Maroochydore watchhouse – guaranteed! 2014 is shaping as a challenging year with the full impact of the

current government renewal and public safety reviews implementation being felt. Whilst this is mostly ‘big picture stuff’, at our local level it has meant a review of the admin staff at Cooroy and Eumundi, with the real possibility that there will be no admin officer at Eumundi next year. I have made strong representations as to why this is a bad idea, however we will have to wait and see what management decides in the new year. I will provide advice in a future issue as to local impact, if we do lose our admin officer on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Finally, road safety always comes to the fore during the festive season. We are still seeing far too many drivers speeding around the area with complete disregard for speed limits, road rules and other road users. Some of the more recent excuses have been farcical. Remember the ‘fatal five – speeding, impaired driving, not wearing restraints, inattention and driving whilst fatigued’ - when driving during the holidays. A little planning, allowing some extra time and regular breaks in your journey, can assist in arriving safely and enjoying the festive season. That’s the wrap for this issue. Be safe out there.

The name says it all when it comes to describing Sunshine Coast Hayden Hack - a funk, Afro and psychedelic aesthetic with South African influence. Rachel has been performing in and around the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane venues for over 15 years. Her favourite artists are an eclectic collection, from classic Janis Joplin to the pop rock of Alanis Morrisette and Sheryl Crowe, the almost folky Jewel, and even English songstress Beth Orton is on the list. Her true love is performing up close and personal. Rachel unplugged is exactly that; acoustic guitar with no drum machine or computer. Rachel’s rich honey vocals have earned her many few fans of her own. Her broad contemporary repertoire makes her perfect for a wide range of live performances. Rachael and Mal are a fab duo; it will be an afternoon to remember.

Community News Councillor Rogerson update Council has been working with Eumundi State School to achieve better car parking options for teachers and parents around the school and as a result, Council has installed five additional car parks with no time limit (except on Wednesdays), and there’s now designated 10 minute parking limits for school mornings and afternoons. There is more work to do on further improvements and I’m looking forward to seeing them progressively implemented in the coming months. There’s a timber bus shelter on Caplick Way in Eumundi that might need to be removed due to the condition of the building as a result of white ants taking up residence. Council’s civil works unit is evaluating the situation and there is the possibility that the extensive roof damage will mean the shelter is removed all together

– I’ll keep you informed via this column about the outcome.

The only thing more magical than an evening of beautiful music, played by world-class musicians, is when it’s in the charming little wooden hall at the end of the street in your village! With Katie Noonan, Zach Hurren, Stephen Magnusson, Louise King and the Cello Dreaming

Youth Ensemble, as well as the enchanting Tulipwood Quartet, the audience were whisked away to the melodies of Bach and Stravinsky, transported to Cairo, lulled by Etta James and gently returned to Oz by the haunting and ethereal sounds of Elixir. There were 250 people and around $6000 was raised to be shared between the Eumundi State School music department and towards maintenance of the School of Arts Hall.

Community Kids What I love -

'Write' where I want to be

Ebony Lindner, Year 5, Ignite English, Eumundi State School

ECCO community services

It can be done whenever, it can be about whatever and whoever, and you can do it wherever. I have been doing it since I was five, and I love it. And you are doing it right now! Reading! I love reading because it takes me to a different place, a place where my wildest dreams can come true. I read fantasy books, world record books and books about mysteries, like the ‘Bermuda Triangle.’ My favourite set of books would be ‘Harry Potter’ by J.K. Rowling, ‘Deltora Quest’ by Emily Rodda or ‘Eragon’ by Christopher Paolini. Being an author is another one of my passions. I write natural disaster stories about volcanoes, earthquakes, avalanches, fires and flash floods. When I am writing my stories I try to build tension so that the reader will be drawn into the adventure like I am when I am reading a good book. When I am older I want to be a successful author like the authors of the books that I read. I would write frightening chapter books for children around the age of 13 like the ‘Goosebumps’ series but, if I can, make it even scarier and draw the reader in at the start enticing them to read on. But, if this idea is unsuccessful I would like to become a teacher.

Congratulations Shane

Shane Moore with her 2013 Pride of Work award from the Rotary Club of Cooroy.

ECCO is proud that the work achievements of staff member Shane Moore has been recognised in the recent Rotary awards. Shane has been instrumental in providing outstanding service to the community in her role as senior receptionist at our Eumundi Family Medical Centre. Shane’s reputation for care and professional service with a community heart has been a feature of clinics in Eumundi for a decade. Shane will be the practice manager for the medical centre when it moves “upstairs” in February 2014. Well done Shane and thank you.

RV Stop Over 100th guest Peter Clark and Lorraine Farrett of Mona Vale NSW at the RV Stop Over in the market car park.

You can go wherever, you can be whoever, you can create anything and everything, you can create anyone and everyone, anything can come true, and nothing can stop you, that is why I love reading and writing.

Peter and Lorraine have been tripping around South East Queensland and found Eumundi on Wikicamps phone app on their way back down south. They were thrilled to know their vehicle was the 100th RV at the Stop Over. They explained to RV site co-ordinator Richard Thurbon that they enjoyed their stay in Eumundi township. “We look forward to seeing the amenities block and BBQ area on our next visit,” Peter said. The couple were very happy as many are that the RV Stop Over is in a quiet, level location, with close access to the town and markets and is dog friendly”.

Lighting up Eumundi community Christmas Tree Please pop Friday 13 December 6.30pm in your family dairy. The lights on the community Christmas tree will be turned on and there’s a chance for young ones to make and hang a decoration. You can find Katie’s stall in the Original Eumundi Markets on a Saturday at the very bottom terrace. On Wednesday, Katie is opposite the railway building. The good thing is that the day is finished by 2.30pm so she has time to spend time with her family. Katie is a lovely and caring person; she loves her job, the people who work there and just loves the markets.

A Realty Fairytale

T

Once upon a time there was a town. All the townspeople knew each other; the Butcher, the Baker, the Candlestick Maker, and even the Real Estate Agent. He was a good man, a nice man, who cared about each and every home he sold - and the townspeople cared about him in return. Over time the town became a city, as more and more people came, bigger estate agents moved in, working for corporations out of town - and the little guy slowly went out of business. The deals stopped being fair, the service became weak; the love had been taken out of it and the townspeople felt the loss. They longed for the caring estate agent to return. The big estate agents weren’t interested in their clients as friends or acquaintances, they just saw them as numbers in a ledger, and money in the bank. Before long the new estate agents were wearing expensive suits, driving luxury cars – and more importantly, the trust had gone from the property business. Buyers and Sellers didn’t like what they saw – they felt uncomfortable and began to wonder if it were possible to go back to the small town idea - there had to be a better way of selling or buying a home. Just in the darkest time, a husband and wife; an idealist and a detail maker, came up with the solution; an audacious idea in which they teamed up with the local community to reinvigorate Real Estate; Taking it back to what it used to be.

Wha

They called it LOVE. Our LOVE Show and Sell System deconstructs Real Estate and breethes new life into it, focusing on what buyers and sellers actually want and need. Our Show and Sell System gets rid of the wasted time and money and concentrates on the people involved. Rather than have uninterested estate agents going from house to house, from appointment to appointment, we allow YOU to show your home to prospective buyers (After all – who knows your house better than you?) Then WE negotiate with the buyer on your behalf. The best part is, we share the commission 50/50 with you the owner as equal partners, working together. We’re with you every step of the way – YOU bring the enthusiasm for the house you love, and we take care of EVERYTHING else. We do the paperwork, photos, marketing, advice, negotiating, screening the leads and all the while offering you full support, allowing you just to enjoy the process. All in all, it is a fairer, more effective system than what is currently available. It brings you the owner into the sale, with a capable team beside you, ready with any assistance you need. Our LOVE Show And Sell System has begun.

YOU Show.

The Love Show & Sell System What does it mean for you the owner? a. Being the owner of the home you are totally invested in the property, therefore you tend to give it 100% effort - everytime. b. We believe you are the best person to show prospective buyers your home. The one YOU fell in love with and know better than anyone else. c. You are there most of the time. Normally we require the owner to leave the home or make themselves scarse while we show their home. d. It’s not selling (we handle all the negotiations) you just show the potential buyers around and tell them about your home. We know from experience how good owners are at showing their property because when we list a property often they do such a good job showing us, that we want to buy it ourselves! e. As your Agent we handle all the legal and marketing side of the selling & negotiating process. f. In traditional Real Estate the owner of an agency takes a large percentage of each sale while giving another percentage to the Sales Person. With Our Show & Sell System, you the owner are our partner and we feel it is fairer that we share the commission equally with you. g. For example if you own a $650,000 property and are prepared to partner with us, the total commission of the sale of your property would only be $9,185.00, instead of $18,370.00. h. Your house is the only one you are showing. i. You get first hand feedback from prospective buyers and are able to judge for yourself their responses. j. You will always remember and enthusiastically share the special features about your home that often add large amounts of value! If you would like to talk to us about how our new process can better serve you, please talk to Jonathan on one of the numbers below.

Too much choice is restricting our choice. I know this sounds counterintuitive but bear with me. There is a distribution theory loved by internet marketing types called the long-tail. Imagine a distribution graph of popularity. The peak on the left of the graph represents the popular items, with the curve of the graph dropping off rapidly to the right showing the volume of niche - but in aggregate more numerous - items. Take digital music sales for example: if the chilling scenes of teenage obsession at any One Direction concert are to go by, their music downloads would represent the peak of the graph, tailing off to sales of polka hits on the right. The magic of the internet digital distribution model makes it possible to reach the two remaining polka fans, sell them an album and have the opportunity flog them a copy of the X-Factor’s latest output with no additional distribution cost. Ka-Ching! But the problem is, we are paralyzed by too much choice. An jam experiment done by the Columbia University demonstrated that people were more likely to buy jam when presented with six choices rather than 24. With too much choice, people chose not to choose. So what has this got to do with books? To solve this paralysis of choice when presented with the gazillion books on offer, systems are developed online to narrow our choice. This can be done via social media suggestions, or recommendation algorithms in a website that present you with options based on browsing history. This might then have the effect over time of squeezing us all into that fat, popular end in the distribution curve of ideas. We’ll become narrow in opinion and tastes, Polka fans would be pushed further to the periphery and One Direction fangirls will take over the world. Even worse, we’d all read about it via monopoly media (oh, hang on…). To avoid this apocalyptic vision, we must resist this effort by the googling Amazonians to clip diversity. Visit your library, browse the thoughtful collection at an independent bookshop, join a book club, and of course, read reviews in Eumundi Green.

If you’ve ever wandered through an airport looking for something to read to survive endless flights and the alternate reality of international air ports, you’ll be familiar with the challenge of finding just the right book. Unless you know exactly what you’re looking for, a trip to the library can have the same challenges. Here are a couple of approaches to book hunting: The subjective/intuitive approach: Use best seller lists and reviews such as The New York Times, Australian and Guardian reviews of books; find a familiar author; assess the cover; the recommendations (can’t always be trusted, of course); the size of print and length, plot summary, picture of the author or shock, horror, read the final pages. I think this is a capital offence but my mother always read the last pages to make sure of a satisfying (happy) ending. This suited her well for many years; who am I to judge? My favourite: ask a trusted reader friend (a good bookseller can be both) for advice: “What are you reading? Any good?” “Have you read...?” The analytical approach: Uses dedicated online books sites such as: GoodReads: Probably the best known due to its popularity with book clubs, publishing companies and students. Has good genrespecific lists and is becoming a powerful influence on the publishing industry rather than just being used by it. What Should I Read Next? : Try this. Go to the website and enter an author or book title in the search engine. WSIRN? will generate a list of related books and authors based on a database of 80,000 books and over one million reader recommendations. The Staff Recommends: Book recommendations come from McSweeney’s editor-at-large, and the money from user purchases goes to First Book, a non-profit that donates books to children in need. I prefer finding books in my own sloppy style, but I do enjoy GoodReads and What Should I Read Next? Wednesday 27 November 2013

Health and Lifestyle Trying to stop smoking? Quitting strategies and tips to stay smoke free Tania Broadbent, Pharmacist On 1 August, the Australian Government announced that it will introduce staged 12.5 per cent increases in tobacco tax over the next four years. These price hikes may be enough of a trigger for many smokers to consider kicking the habit for good. According to anti-smoking group Quit, on average it takes a smoker about 13 attempts before they actually stop for good. This stat is not meant to be discouraging but rather a reminder to smokers that if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. The first two weeks are generally the hardest, however it gradually gets easier with each week that passes. There is not a single best quit-smoking method – it's an individual process but there are approaches that have more supporting evidence than others. There are a range of pharmacotherapies that are very effective. Included in this group are prescription-only medicines like Zyban and Champix, as well as over-the-counter nicotine-replacement therapies like patches, gums, sublingual sprays and inhalers. Along with these evidence-based treatments smokers can utilise the free Quitline (137 848) or talk to their GP or pharmacist. They can give you personalised, individual support and advice. Popular alternative therapies like hypnotherapy, acupuncture, laser and homeopathy are not supported by clinical evidence. Patients often complain about the side effects of medication, however it is important to differentiate these side effects from the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. Common complaints upon cessation of smoking can be sleeplessness, irritability, anxiety, increased appetite and even depression. When a person stops smoking they are no longer exposed to the tars contained within cigarettes. These tars are potent inducers

of the metabolism of numerous prescription medications, nonprescription medications and even substances such as caffeine. Therefore when you stop smoking and are no longer exposed to these tars, the concentration of these medications can be higher than before. This may lead to side effects from the medication that were not evident prior to cessation. It is always important to discuss any quit attempt with your GP or pharmacist if you are taking medication. For example, an important tip when you quit smoking is to halve your caffeine intake, due to the increased levels of caffeine which can lead to sleeplessness, irritability and even anxiety. Other useful tips include: Cravings only last for a few minutes so think of alternative things you can do until it passes eg. have a shower, brush your teeth, or go for a walk. Alcohol, caffeine and stress are all key triggers. Rather than avoid these things all together, focus on disassociating these behaviours, like drinking coffee inside the house and smoking outdoors, when once you may have done the two together. The benefit of pharmacotherapies is they quell those urges, so that when you do have a cup of coffee you're less likely to want a cigarette with it. Don't be discouraged if you can't quit on your first attempt. It can take many tries and a mixture of methods to quit successfully. Get help. Your GP, pharmacist and specialised telephone hotline operators can all offer assistance, advice and support. Make family and friends aware that you're trying to stop and enlist their support to motivate and encourage you. Good luck!

Environment and Outdoors Life (and death) on a better ridge Claudette Betteridge pay respect to the 'other side' of the new life, fresh growth and renewal, that is the main focus of much that is written about spring; after all it's not as though things only die off in winter. In the natural world as well as the human realm, death and change are an ever-present aspect and perhaps turning our attention to them occasionally allows us to better appreciate the whole cycle. Death is not a subject that's off limits in my household. Having fairly recently lost the great-grandfather figure in our lives, my children understand that sometimes bodies wear out or don't work as well anymore, and also that all people and things eventually die. This concept seems to be pretty well understood, but what about the lives that are just beginning that don't make it? Well this week I had the opportunity to find out just how best to explain this. Amid the excitement of new chicks hatching out of their eggs, there was a tinge of sadness. Out of the seven eggs nestled under our clucky girl

Nature’s remarkable cycles have given me much to write about in the past. I have pondered the wondrous renewal evident in the botanical world, the passing of seasons and the plethora of changes these bring, but until now I've not spent a lot of time writing about the quieter side of this cycle. In order for new growth to burst out of bare branches and long, warm days to replace the harsh cold, we need the bareness, dark and cold to be felt and recognized. Today it is my hope that I can

we welcomed three little fluff balls, full of chirpy sweetness. The fourth egg had started to crack and you could see where the birds’ little egg tooth had made its initial hole, but alas, no amount of waiting and wishing could bring this life further out of its egg and into the world. After a day and a half of this wait the broody hen was up off her nest indoctrinating her three hatchlings in the ways of chicken-hood, leaving in her nest three eggs that showed no signs of cracks, and the fourth, with it’s little hole. Seeing that the hen had abandoned these eggs we pulled it a little further open to find that the chick inside was no longer living. Did the mother hen know that the other eggs were not viable? Given the intuitive understandings other species seem to have concerning their young, my guess would be yes. She knew that there was no longer any use sitting on the other eggs and concentrated her energy on teaching her three living chicks how to survive. In the manner

of all farm kids before them, my children were told simply and truthfully about this natural occurrence and, although saddened by the news, they too have focused their attention on providing their loving energy on the remainder of the flock. This simple fact of nature serves to remind to us all that there is a full cycle in life and seeing as though neither man nor beast can avoid death, it is best that it is lovingly understood, accepted and celebrated for the role it plays in our lives. Significant step for Sunshine Coast solar farm Council has now shortlisted the 48 submissions for the design, construction and operation for the Sunshine Coast solar farm. Interviews are currently being undertaken with the shortlisted companies and further detailed evaluation continuing. Mayor Mark Jamieson said, “Council wants to build a solar farm to meet its electricity needs and tap into the energy of the sun.

Nature Notes Hard-Case Moths Kon Hepers

A few weeks ago we came across a very old discarded cocoon from a Case Moth. It disintegrated in our hands but raised our interest so the search was on for a "live" one. A while ago we were lucky; there was a Case Moth, or Bag Moth, hanging from the bark of a Casuarina. But it was hard to tell whether the case was inhabited or not. We placed it in a container with a variety of leaves in case it did contain a hungry caterpillar. For over a week there was no sign of life, but then we noticed that it had moved a short distance, then again the next day. We observed what looked like a head sticking out from one end, yet when we approached for a closer look it was quickly withdrawn. Most unusual; all other caterpillars

we have ever seen do not flinch from human presence. This one was clearly alert. Eventually we managed to sneak up and take a photo. When enlarged it confirmed that there was indeed a yellow and black striped resident in the cocoon. We identified it as Saunders’ Case Moth, Metura elongate, supposedly quite common in the three south-eastern states of Australia. The case of this specimen was about 75mm long. Helen Hepburn found a smaller (40mm) one for us. Then we found a third (95mm) specimen, most probably a female judging by the size. All three were kept in a large terrarium for observation; we knew that their life-cycle and metamorphosis from caterpillar

to moth was quite complicated even weird – and can take up to 2 years. Also, the females remain as caterpillars, never leaving the cocoon and somehow the males, with their long abdomens, manage to mate with them. The eggs are laid inside the case and eventually fall out. The hatchling caterpillars then start their own cases. The cocoons have an opening at each end. The living caterpillar protrudes from the larger top opening to eat and crawl, dragging the cocoon along. Waste is pushed out from the bottom, smaller opening. At most times the cocoons are found hanging vertically, attached to any surface by exceedingly tough silk fibres. When the male is ready to morph it turns itself upside down inside the cocoon and gradually emerges as an ungainly winged moth. For many days we saw no action from any of the caterpillars. We knew that at least one was alive from the chewed leaves: we knew they eat pine needles, eucalypt and melaleuca leaves and just about anything else. Ours preferred old, tough brushbox leaves.

An amazing feature is how they extend and repair the cocoons. Saunder’s Case Moths decorate/ camouflage their “homes” with twigs placed longitudinally. To add some new ones, the caterpillar partially emerges, snips off twigs, then ties them to the top with a few threads. One day recently we had some claws and other matter expelled from the end of the middle-sized cocoon. We thought a male would emerge next but nothing further occurred. It has also stopped eating, as has the small one. They are probably dead but we are still hoping. Meanwhile the largest one is still active at about five or six day intervals, still eating and crawling. We can’t wait for 2 years on the off chance that something might emerge from the cocoon (unlikely as we think it’s a female), so to see what the actual moth looks like, we obtained an image from Queensland Museum. The images for my Echidna article in 183 were not attributed. They were supplied to me as follows: Adult echidna by John Jeffreys and Puggle by Donna Anthony of WILVOS. Thank you both.

Gardening Flowering Broms Annie Wilson The Bromeliaceae family comprises more than 3000 species, with a diverse range extending from pineapples through to Spanish Moss. They are suited to our local growing conditions, and are excellent for xeriscaping because they thrive when planted en masse, and watering is self-regulated. At the moment many of our broms are putting on an amazing show, so I'd like to share some of them with you. For more photos go to facebook.com/rayandannie

A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a

I Have Learned - Part 1 I’ve learned - that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them. I’ve learned - that no matter how much I care, some people just don’t care back. I’ve learned - that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.

wise man

knows himself to be a fool.

I’ve learned- that no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that. I’ve learned - that it’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts. I’ve learned - that you should never ruin an apology with an excuse. I’ve learned - that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you’d better know something.

WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

I’ve learned - that you shouldn’t compare yourself to the best others can do. I’ve learned - that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life. I’ve learned - that it’s taking me a long time to become the person I want to be. I’ve learned - that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

A Realty Fairytale

I’ve learned - that you can keep going long after you can’t. I’ve learned - that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel. I’ve learned - that either you control your attitude or it controls you. I’ve learned - that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place. I’ve learned - that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences. I’ve learned - that money is a lousy way of keeping score. I’ve learned- that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time. I’ve learned- that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re down will be the ones to help you get back up. I’ve learned - that sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel. I’ve learned - that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love. I’ve learned - that just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have. I’ve learned - that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated. By Omer B. Washington What I have learned since we opened our first office in Doonan two years ago is that it is time for Real Estate to change. Go to the middle pages and read The Realty Fairytale and become part of the biggest change in recent Australian Real Estate History. Cheers Jonathan
