Stress and Causes for it Stress is a manifestation of high expectations about one self as well as trying to reach expectations created by others It happens with a person who imagines himself beyond the reality of his capability and tries to reach the virtual image created for himself in the current situation and this puts him under stress. Sometimes the above mentioned virtual image created by people leads to stress. It happens as we always care of what others think of us although we try to avoid it. In this case, we make an effort to change ourselves to reach their imagination that drives us into stress. Further, the impact of negative happenings in ones past life also influences the stress by adding fuel to existing fire. Generally people revive pessimistic moments of lives over and over again, worsening their self esteem. To overcome this, a person needs to realize that once happened is happened, depart it from the mind if possible and learn from the happenings and construct a positive behaviour to replace it.
