一直以來，昇恆昌將在地文化帶入臺灣機場，因
為我們認為「機場」不應只是旅程過渡的中繼站，希
望每一位旅客在離開臺灣前的最後一刻，能再次感受 屬於這裡的人文與藝術。
《VOYAGER》在今年悄然改版，揮別了以往時尚
精品的消費性，回歸雜誌初衷，讓在地出發的美好事
物都能聚集在這本雜誌裡，也希望每一位旅客體驗富 有臺灣文化的紙本溫度。
今年昇恆昌邀請到台灣新銳插畫家鄧彧，以「紙
上行旅」，利用 AR（擴增實境），創作「薩克斯風 AR 候機室」，讓藝文與科技在桃園機場完美呈現，封面
故事正是她為此候機室的全新創作《旅行中的聲音》。 主題以「戲曲、旅行、生活」，迎接第三年「昇
恆昌藝術季」將富饒中華文化與台灣本土價值的「戲 曲」搬進機場，配合地緣與人文風情，向外國旅客唱
一曲歷史大戲，也讓國人重溫。此外，也邀請到近年 活躍在舞台劇的藝人路嘉欣，分享戲劇人生、巡演旅 程中行李箱裡小物。
持續兩年的「光譜計畫」是深植昇恆昌 DNA 中的
公益精神的最佳表現，廣邀大學生加入偏鄉教育的觀 光營隊提案競賽，以正向精神讓年輕的熱血與青春更 帶有改變社會的力量。無獨有偶，在昇恆昌經營離島
觀光多年的金門，也有一群熱血青年，以自己的方式， 建構離島幸福未來。
這些刻劃在台灣這片土地上的故事，皆收錄在本
期之中。無論正在閱讀的您要準備前往何方，希望伴 隨《VOYAGER》的溫度，讓您的旅行更加精采動人。
For many years, Ever Rich has been bringing Taiwanese culture into our airports. We believe “an airport” is more than just a stopover. Travelers shall have the chance to experience Taiwanese art and humanities before they leave the island. Earlier this year we have decided to revise the concept of this magazine; the brand new VOYAGER presents beautiful things from Taiwan, and we hope it may bring happiness to every traveler who grabs a copy of the magazine. This year Ever Rich invited the young and emerging illustrator Teng Yu, the creator of her own brand, Paper Travel, to create a “Saxophone AR Waiting Lounge.” With the latest augmented reality technology, the art is perfectly combined and presented. “The Sound from the Journey” is her new creation for Ever Rich and also is the new commissioned cover story of this issue. With the theme “Chinese Opera” in the third year of the Ever Rich Art Festival, we brought to the airports different genres of opera that evolved with Chinese culture and Taiwanese local art. Geographically arranged, we made the shows not only entertaining for foreign tourists but also nostalgic for local Taiwanese people. We also invited an active drama performer Jozie Lu to share her stories and touring experiences, and let us glimpse the things she travels with. Following the success from previous charity deeds, this year “Spectrum Plan” again welcomes the proposals for rural education composed by college students, representing the core value of Ever Rich, which believes that young generation can make our society more vibrant. Coincidentally, in the place which has been in our focus for many years – Kinmen island – a group of young enthusiastic generation emerged, striving to build their own future there. You can find these amazing stories in this issue, and we sincerely hope wherever you are heading to, the companionship of VOYAGER would enrich your journey.

Back and forth from A to B – are those routes to home?
暑假從臺北松山機場出境的旅客，有沒有發現機場多了一場 別開生面的插畫展呢？插畫家用俐落的線條、對比強烈橘黑
色塊訴說著尋找自己的故事，恰好給即將踏上未知旅程的旅
人們，多一分鐘思考，究竟即將遠行的自己是否能找到自己， 走向回家的道路呢？旅行究竟是歸來，還是尋找一份自己的
歸屬感呢？大概只有你我才知道，鄧彧筆下的人物，無關指
涉，亦和性別無關，因為有可能就是生活周遭的每一個人，
Many Taipei Songshan Airport users this summer have noticed an illustration exhibition. The creator told a soul-searching story with sleek lines and black & orange colour blocks. Before embarking on their journeys, travellers could take a moment to contemplate on their paths and their motivations. Figures created by Teng Yu do not refer to particular people or genders, so everyone can identify with and relate to.

插畫，以「旅行中的聲音」為主題，這一次她讓即將 遠行的旅人們，隨著薩克斯風幽默的樂音搖擺，跟著
臺灣黑熊及臺灣獼猴等臺灣特色動物們穿梭在森林裡 頭。從這樣的概念下發展，她將候機室牆面視為一個
故事，從左到右，而不是靜止的單一作品，用短篇故
事的手法來呈現主題，讓旅行和音樂可以結合在一起， 就像是紙上音樂錄影帶一般。

Invited by Ever Rich again, Tend Yu creates new illustrations for B4 boarding lounge at Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 1. Themed as “Sounds in Trips”, this work invites travellers to dance with saxophone music, and walk through forests with Taiwan black bears and monkeys. Instead of one piece of work, the whole wall describes a short story that combines travel and music, as if a music video on paper.

鄧彧指著鉛筆畫的草稿說：「我想像可能有一位
旅者，在旅行中聽見了聲音」，遠處傳來的薩克斯風 美妙樂音，吸引旅者一路尋覓，終於到達如童話世界
般的薩克斯風音樂城市，更有趣的是裡頭的旅人，不
只是獨自沈浸於音樂裏，也探索如何分享薩克斯風的 美妙給更多的人，於是他們帶著薩克斯風，踏上新的
旅程，散播歡樂散播幸福，分享給旅程中相遇的旅伴。
可以不認識這個美妙的樂器呢？ Taiwan
“I imagine a traveller hears sounds in the trip,” Teng points to her sketches. Saxophone music from afar attracts the traveller to follow, and arrive in a music city like fairy tale. Rather than enjoying music exclusively, other travellers in the city also explore how to share the lovely experience with more people. They bring saxophones with them in the new journey to share happiness and joy with all encounters.

更為熟悉，或是直接認為後者就是一個人，但鄧彧解 釋，其實紙上行旅是她的品牌，而背後的創作者就是
她，兩著之間並不存在衝突，「要叫我紙上行旅也可 以啦」她無奈的笑著。無論是哪個角色，都是分享她 對於創作和紙製品的喜愛。取名紙上行旅，利用紙作
為載體，紀錄生活中的點滴，「我很喜歡紙張」她直 接說，每種紙張可以透過不同的方式呈現，而且這些
生活的物件，使用上較方便，也能輕易購買，更可以 達到她的理想「讓大家認識到不同的紙材，提升生活 的美學」，儘管只是普通的印刷品，像是展覽簡介也

Compared to “Teng Yu”, local readers may be more familiar with her brand “Paper Travel”. She believes these two are not contradictory. She expresses her love to paper and records moments in life. A variety of papers are easily accessible in daily life. She hopes these works “will introduce all kinds of papers and beauty to everyone”. Even for exhibition introduction, she also attempts to explore more possibilities.

Her first book Paper Travel: Moving Vistas: Sixty Observations of Taiwan in Motion capturing the domestic life of Taiwan in a book, in an exhibition and other paper products.

改造成這樣」她驚呼的說。最初以單張的明信片姿態 登場，旋即受到粉絲喜愛，後來集結成冊，也曾以展 覽的形式展出過。
Homecoming, exhibited in Taipei Songshan Airport, comes from her second book. It tells a complete story that speaks closer to her creative motivations. She is always amazed how roadside vendors can transform their vehicles in so many creative ways, so she captures these inspirations first on postcards, in a book, and also in an exhibition – her first publication Paper Travel: Moving Vistas: Sixty Observations of Taiwan in Motion.

同和家庭的定義不一定存在，就看每一個人對家的定 義。」
From life observations to internal explorations, exhibitions
are extended from her illustrations. Teng aims to present
her works on different materials, such as a new book every two years. Homecoming, for example, has been printed with risograph and on canvas. “Sometimes we encounter
doubts in our lives. Although the context is placed in
Taipei, people can find their own identity and definition to home,” said Teng.

和日星鑄字行合作，用活版印刷，讓 人再度對這個勢微的技術感到讚嘆。
In collaboration with Ri Xing Type Foundry, Teng Yu uses the movable type character printing to create her works in the wake of this almost extinct technique.

從古蹟修復系畢業後，鄧彧曾在設計公司上班，
雖然現在工作繁忙，讓鄧彧鮮少有機會長期旅遊，
直到 2013 年 5 月，她開始在網路上販售紀念東京旅遊
但如果有機會的話，她說：「想去北歐，但需要完整
才能親眼看見印刷的效果。這些創作對她就像是旅行
「生活體驗，而不是為了什麼而做」，就像是大家蜂
的明信片，但重視手感的她，還是走向店家拜訪寄售， 結束後的整理，「就像是一個回來的動力」她說，藉 由拍照記錄這些回憶，創作就是對此的迴響。時常設
計的明信片，也有其來由，「就是從未知的地方賣出 呀！」她的創作從一個地方到另外一個地方旅行。
After learning architecture art conservation in college, Teng worked in a design studio for a while, before she started to sell travel postcards online. She reviews travel experiences by creating these artworks, and hope these works will travel to other places.

擁而至的瀨戶內海藝術祭，她就保持著「沒有藝術季， 才有生活感覺」的態度來喜歡那些小島，直率的態度 就像她筆下吹著薩克斯風的旅人一般，「不會事先規 劃或是設定去哪裡，我喜歡隨興一點。」
If she has the opportunity to travel for an extended period of time,“I would visit North Europe for six months or more, just to experience local life”, Teng said. While Art Setouchi has been popular in the past few years, she prefers those islets without art festival, and “travels without specific itineraries”.
任何的生活體驗在鄧彧都有不同的風情，讓人愛不釋手。 Any fragment of domestic life could be the inspiration for here. Even the ordinary postman can be cute and interesting like this.

是大名鼎鼎的達文西在西元 1490 年 1 月 13 日這一天， 為了慶祝米蘭公爵斯福爾扎（Gian Galeazzo Sforza， 1469 – 1494）與那不勒斯公主 Isabella of Aragon 的
婚禮，為《天堂之宴》表演設計舞臺。運用他對天文
物理的研究，在舞臺正中央搭建了一個會轉動的行星， 戲中還出現了一匹會噴煙的馬，讓這對新婚佳人驚嘆 不已。
Artists have always been interested in theatre. On January 13th in 1490, Leonardo da Vinci designed the performance stage of Feast of Paradise for the wedding of Gian Galeazzo Sforza（1469-1494）and Isabella of Aragon. Da Vinci applied his knowledge in astronomy and physics and installed rotating planet at the centre of the stage. Also, a horse with that shot steam appeared during the performance, surprising and impressing the newly-weds.

The relationship between artists and performance became even more intimate in the 20th century. Many people know that Picasso designed the stage for the Russian ballet, but not many were aware that he wrote Desire Caught by the
Tail, The Four Little Girls, and two other plays between 1940 and 1950.

Although the plot of The Four Little Girls was mediocre, its 1944 performance in the Paris home of writer Michel Leiris attracted the attendance of celebrities, with Existentialist
writer Albert Camus as director and a performance group including feminist writer Simone de Beauvoir, Picasso's mistress Dora Maar, the Father of Existentialist Jean-Paul Sartre, and painter Georges Braque. However, unlike his
paintings, Picasso's plays were seldom displayed on stage. During the performance at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, performers included David Hockney and artist

end of the first half of the play, the composer accelerates the music while adding multiple discord notes. Just as the plot ascends to chaos, George shouts “order!” like the
conductor of an orchestra, making the characters instantly
standing or sitting fixed within the image. In this instant, the painting Sunday Afternoon on the Grande Jatte is presented before the eyes of the audience, captivating all with the magic of music, art, and theatre.

In this article, I will be introducing three classic works that are both presented as plays and films, hoping to present how stories are expressed in different methods. Since these works have been considered as classics, they touch hearts and inspired different sentiments regardless of the changes in time.

老匯歌舞劇「吉屋出租」中膾炙人口的 “Seasons of love”。首演於 1994 年，活脫現代版普契尼「波西米
亞人」的紐約客們，在 80 年代與貧窮、疾病（愛滋）、 歧視（同性 / 雙性戀）抗衡，奮力想以自我和所能給 予的愛來活的無悔，灌溉自己的夢想。
“Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes. How do you measure a year in the life?” This popular and catchy line is from the song “Seasons of Love” from Broadway musical Rent. First performed on stage in 1994, the play depicts several New Yorkers in the 80s, a modern version of Giacomo Puccini's opera La Bohème. Struggling with poverty, illness (AIDS), and discrimination (homosexuality/bisexuality), the characters strive to achieve a life without regret through love in an effort to pursue their dreams.

Also set before Christmas, movie professional Mark and guitarist Roger, who both live in the attic, are unable to pay the rent and decide to burn scripts and previous tour posters for warmth. However, the fire extends to Collins, a philosophy professor, and his partner Angel, a street musician and drag queen, and Mimi who goes upstairs hoping to light a candle.

On Christmas Eve, actress Maureen arranges a performance for artists, the homeless, and those with diverse sexual orientations as a gesture to fight for their rights. After the successful performance, the group of people proceed to Life Café and sing “La Vie Boheme” as a celebration for living the life of their choice.
無論在舞台劇或而後改編的電影版，這場無疑都
是經典。舞台讓觀眾得以聚焦角色們的近距離互動， 而電影版則帶領人們實地走進紐約市，使之相信這是 偌大城市裡頭角落正在發生的故事：可能是地鐵衝刺 通勤時 Collins 的”Santa Fe”、和街頭小販議價二手
衣時走過身旁的 Angel 哼唱的”I'll cover you”，或是 夜歸巧遇 Mimi 的”out of town”。
Regardless of the play or movie version, Rent is without a doubt a classic. Stages allow viewers to see the interaction of characters within close distance, while the movie brings the audience into the streets of New York, convincing them that these plots and stories, such as Collins's “Santa Fe”, or Angel's “I'll Cover You,” are all real-life incidents happening in the city while rushing in the subway or bargaining with the second-hand clothing peddler on the streets.

有 06 年二次加演的明華園劇團等，都讓人津津樂道， 在 92 年的時候由原班人馬改編成電影。

played leading actor Chiang Pin-Liu, and Brigitte Lin, who acted in a play for the first time, and the Taiwanese opera
troupe Ming Hwa Yuan which participated in the 2006 performance, are still talked about by people till this day.
In 1992, the performance was filmed into a movie, with characters portrayed by the original casting crew.

始相互爭奪同個舞台排演，最後竟發現這兩齣明明風
馬牛不相及的戲碼居然得以呼應且迸出新意。《暗戀》 訴說該劇導演自身回憶：戰亂被拆散的愛侶江與雲， 垂死的江總算與雲相逢於台灣，卻如夢醒一般，為別
離倒數；《桃花源》則取材陶淵明的桃花源記，講述 失意的武陵人老陶與別戀袁老闆的妻子春花三人間的
情感糾葛。劇碼演繹自此，兩個劇團的台詞錯落在同 個舞台上，干擾漸漸成了呼應，一古一今的彷彿隔空 喊話，替彼此心中滿懷的不解落下答案。

Finally, the two groups realize that the plays actually fit together perfectly, bringing surprisingly good results. Secret Love tells the story of a director's memories: Lovers Chiang Pin-Liu and Yun Zhifan are separated because of
war. Finally, the dying Chiang reunites with Yun in Taiwan, but their days are numbered, leaving them with limited
time to say goodbye. The Peach Blossom Land is inspired by Chinese poet Tao Yuanming's prose The Peach Blossom Spring and depicts the love affair between Lao Tao, a

The movie August: Osage County is Count : A view of t h e sta ge o f t h e an adaptation of the play which was Broadway version. performed for the first time in 2007, Chicago. The play was later showcased in Broadway New York and was awarded the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize the following year. The movie August: Osage County begins with the funeral of the leading male character (the character is missing in the play) while his three daughters and their companions return home to their hysterical mother. As the story unfolds, fracture and disintegration within the family emerge. The absurd but familiar plot reminds both Eastern and Western viewers of the value of “family:” to leave or stay, comparison, fighting for attention, and lies. The sharp lines and dialogues are what makes this play so popular.

With one main scene and large amounts of dialogue, this play relies on the performance skill of its actors. In the movie version, Meryl Streep brilliantly plays the role of the vicious mother who craves for love but drives everyone away. The dinner scene is the most classic of the entire performance. Greenray Theatre Company's 2014 version of August: Osage County alters the scene to depict a traditional three-generation Chinese family. audience throughout the past three decades; works such as Performance Workshop's Secret Love in Peach Blossom
Land and The Village, Greenray Theatre Company's Human
Condition Series, and Godot Theatre Company's Tuesdays with Morrie have been showcased repeatedly due to popular demand.

What exactly is a musical? Simply put, performers of musicals randomly start singing in the midst of speech, while more people join in for duets or harmony, even dance. Musicals are beautiful and so much fun! With lyrics that are also lines and songs that act as extensions to performance, the music, song, and dance have an intimate connection with drama. Through the performance of each song, viewers will experience the theme of the work, get to know more about a character, or see the progress of an incident, the advancement of a time sequence, and the establishment and resolve of conflicts.
在音樂劇內，歌曲乃是敘事的主要工具，而音
樂詞曲就是最核心的文本。它與歌劇最大的不同在

Songs are the main tool for narrative in musicals, while lyrics are the core texts of the work. The biggest difference between musicals and operas lies in the fact that opera still counts as vocal performances, whereas musicals are dramatic performances that focus on characters. Therefore, regardless of themes, the main character of operas usually has clear, dense, and perfect voices with an orchestra as the accompaniment. In comparison, the voices of musical performers usually come with more variety and are more down-to-earth to the personality of different characters. The performance style of musicals has gone through transformations with the development of themes and contemporary pop music, opening more possibilities to the genre. From the acrobatic plays of the late 19th century, the Follies of early 20th century, the classic era brought forth by Rodger & Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim's Concept Musicals, as well as Rent and Hamilton by Jonathan Larson and Lin-Manuel Miranda, all introduced the world to the new era of musicals. Today, Broadway has accumulated thousands of musicals, not to mention the cultural energy that comes with each work. Each year, new works and revivals are introduced to viewers, with the Tony Award forever the most anticipated event for theatre lovers around the world.

as they start writing musicals, they are promised a bright and successful future (look up classic song “A Musical!”
for additional reading). Another musical is Title of Show, which premiered on Off-Broadway in 2006. Quoting the official statement, “it's a musical about two guys writing
a musical about two guys writing a musical.” The play includes a scriptwriter and a lyricist, along with some of
their friends who were half-forced to become actors for their play. The plot presents the entire process of a musical from script writing to rehearsals, all the while poking fun at the industry (see classic song “An Original Musical” for additional reading).

Bangzi Opera traveled from Henan through Vietnam, finally arriving in Taiwan. At the miraculous hands of fate, leading Bangzi Opera diva was reunited with lover Li ChiuTao, and together they founded Zhungzhao Bangzi Opera.

師徒一行人來到石頭山，遇上想吃唐僧肉，但又

tries once again and turns into an old man, attempting to deceive Xuanzang. Xuanzang forbids Sun Wukong from killing the old man and cast a spell of protection. However, Sun Wukong still manages to kill the old man and is punished by Xuanzang to return to Mount Huaguo. However, Xuanzang and the Sha Monk is later captured and only Zhu Bajie manages to escape to Mount Huaguo to ask Sun Wukong for help. Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie travel from the mountain and kill Jinchan Immortal, who was on its way to eat Xuanzang. They change their appearances into the image of the Jinchan Immortal and approaches White-Bone Cave to trick the White-Bone Spirit. At the sight of this, Xuanzang suddenly realizes the truth and the group finally manages to kill the White-Bone Spirit after a tough battle.

After returning home, his wife and sister welcome him, which makes Chang San-Lang feel guilty. Sun Tse of Kingdom of Wu, known as the “lord of Jiangdong,” could not bear the suffering of the people, therefore returned to Jiangdong with renowned general Chou Yu, planning to recover their homeland with the lowest number of troops. However, when asking Qiao Guolao for help, Sun Tse and Chou Yu met the two daughters of Qiao Guolao, Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao, and the two young men fell in love with the two beauties at first sight. Lu Fan advised Qiao Guolao that marriage would bring the two armies closer together, so at the end of the story, Sun Tse and Chou Yu each married one of the two sisters.

Q：What's special about the stage design of Taiwanese Opera? How were the theatrical illusions made possible? A：Traditionally, the characters were the main focus, with props and sceneries merely acting as accessories. However, contemporary performances combine opera with elements of theater, and started adopting stage effects such as lighting. Traditional stage arrangement includes one table and two chairs, with a simple black cloth as background. However, in the early days, Taiwanese Opera included styles of other types of performance, such as mechanic instruments and wire-flying, to enhance the theatrical effect.

Behind the scene: the hand puppet actually is led by a single narrator.
Puppet Legend can roughly be separated into two sections: the first presents how wooden puppetry gradually evolved into glove puppetry, its emergence in Taiwan through speech and performance, and the development of Taiwan glove puppetr y, such as original wooden puppetr y, improved glove puppetry, and the recent Golden Light Puppetry and television Golden Light Puppetry. The second section displays Sichuan Opera Face-Changing, allowing audiences to witness new techniques and how the actions on stage were made possible. This performance arrangement aims to provide a deeper understanding towards the history of glove puppetry and its contemporary evolutions.

Q：What are the characteristics of glove puppetry and its different schools?
A：One unique quality of glove puppetry is despite its variety of roles on stage, all dialogues are performed by one puppet master. Taiwan glove puppetry performances can be categorized into the Wu Chou, Ko, and World school. These different schools originated from an agreement that the Golden Light Puppetry designed by one certain school cannot be performed by others. Each school has their own unique plays; for instance, the New World School is known for Magic Sea Stardust. A s part of the art festival, the hand puppets are also shown at Kaohsiung airport for the curious souls.

A：Although the dialogues are performed by only one person, the characters on stage are performed by different people. Each performance usually involves the collaboration of 6-7 people. However, works such as Magic Sea Stardust require more people, with more than 20 people on stage, including the operation of puppets, music, lighting, and changing the stage scenery.

We add current social issues and various impromptu performances into the display to give the audience a more intimate experience. Sometimes we even speak Mandarin with a Taiwanese accent; this always makes the audience laugh!

Q：What are the most exciting skills involved in shadow puppet performances?

Q：Are there singing styles in shadow puppet performances and what languages are they in? Do they include specific instruments? A：Yes, there are singing styles in shadow puppet performances, but since modern people are mostly unfamiliar with these styles, we are gradually decreasing the adaption of singing styles and more and more performances are conducted through regular dialogues. However, if the audience of a particular play includes people who frequently visit theaters, we usually decide to maintain the original singing style. The singing style we adopt is Chaozhou tune, mostly accompanied by Erhu, gongs, and drums, similar to opera. 原來皮影戲是這樣演的！

來分享她們的工作、生活，以及旅行。 這一次，作為戲劇的延伸，我們以當 代的角度切入，邀請藝人路嘉欣帶著 她巡迴演出的行李箱，來和我們談談 從歌手到舞台劇演員的心路歷程，還 有那些巡演背後有趣的故事。

當路嘉欣走入駿宇飯店時，那清亮的嗓音、迷人
的笑容依然沒變，多的是那一份熟成的自信和自嘲的 幽默，當年她以一曲《黑色天空》驚艷四方。除了歌
手的身份外，近年她更成為香港舞台劇名導演林奕華 的固定班底。如預想一般，在化妝的過程路嘉欣非常
的安靜，讓人感到有些距離，但打開行李箱，在各式
各樣整齊收納的素色收納袋裡頭，居然夾雜著螢光綠 色的卡通小物，份外的突出，路嘉欣笑著說：「那是
洗臉戴的髮圈，讓我心情放鬆的小物。」如同看似甜 美知性的背後，其實是充滿個性和想法。
When Jozie Lu stepped into Hotel June, in addition to her glamor, she also sent out confidence and humorous. Black Sky in her debut album (2002) was stunning. In recent years, she has also become a regular figure in Hong Kong director Edward Lam's practice. After opening her luggage, Jozie's quietness vanished in a fluorescent green cartoon product, which was placed in tidy mono-coloured storage bags. “That's the headband for face washing, which makes me relax”, she said, just like her rationality behind the sweetness.
從舞台劇中找到自信

透過好友，香港歌手何韻詩的介紹，路嘉欣和林
奕華導演才有初次接觸，演出人生中的第一個角色《賈 寶玉》裏頭的林黛玉，只是因為「何韻詩覺得我很像
林黛玉，可以試試。」沒想到這樣的機緣，讓路嘉欣 有了在演藝圈的轉捩點。在跟林奕華導演接觸前，演
藝圈隱形存在的「標準答案」困惑著她許久，「像是
必須要做什麼事情才會被喜歡，然後會被要求變成什 麼樣子」。但在舞台劇的過程裡，她卻能用自己的想
法演出，對當時剛滿 30 歲的路嘉欣來說，彷彿找到了 另外一扇窗。在她的口中，林奕華導演就像是一個大
哲學家，能看透每個演員，「所以一開始跟他合作有 一個好處，他能把每個演員擺在適合的位置」。
When she turned thirty, Jozie felt confused by the standard answers in entertainment industry. “Do certain things to gain popularity and change myself as requested”, she described. Then she was introduced to director Edward

and the upcoming Why We Chat?. She said, director Lam respected every performer's characteristics. He would specify her as the only person to express certain feelings. To him, standard answer would limit the performers. Hence, every rehearsal and performance made Jozie to rethink, to re-examine, and to explore herself. “I truly appreciate his help. It makes me evolved, strengthens me, and brings confidence to me”, she said.
巡演就像大陸尋奇各地觀眾皆不同
Meet Interesting Audiences While Touring
回想起第一部舞台劇《賈寶玉》巡演超過百場的
演出，走遍大江南北，彷彿大陸尋奇一般，趣事自然
特別多。路嘉欣回想在甘肅親眼看到的黃河之水之黃， 讓她印象深刻，還將腳伸入水中體驗。不過當演員們
聚集一起，總還有文藝浪漫的事情，像黃河邊寫詩， 你一人我一句，「雖然是一首爛透的詩，卻是很可愛 的回憶」她笑著說。 Lam, by her friend, Denise Ho, a Hong Kong singer who thought Jozie was the perfect candidate for a specific role. Jozie then played Lin Daiyu in director Lam's, Awakening. The experience made her realized that she had found her turning point. In the play, Jozie could perform based on her personality. And, according to her, director Lam was a philosopher who could see through everyone, and therefore, could place the right person in the right place.
While talking about Awakening, which had been touring for hundreds of performances, Jozie said she was so impressed by the dense colour of the Yellow River in Gansu province that she soaked her feet into it. On the riverside, actors also idyllically composed a poem together; she said with a smile, “The poem was really bad, yet the memory was sweet.”

饋，這也是路嘉欣最喜歡的一部分。她回想，有一次 講到「如果我比你先死怎麼辦？」的台詞，觀眾居然
搶答「那我也去死呀！」當時在台上的她心裡可是笑 翻了，但還是得秉持專業，裝作沒看見繼續演出。
Audiences had regional differences, as she remembered. For example, in Shanghai, audiences preferred entertaining performances and laughed a lot, however, in Beijing, audiences were more professional that they even wrote reviews after the show, “the kind that we are most afraid of”, she said. Jozie described stage shows as continuous breakdowns. Yet, she found companions and her true self during the rehearsals from 2 PM to 10 PM, Tuesday to Sunday. Hence, when someone teases her with “the ever first ingenue singer”, Jozie would now simply laugh off, because she is more than an idol now. She is herself.

2017 Summer Universiade, a multi-sport event, was held successfully in Taiwan. It unites local community, and reignites our passion to sport competition. Many people are impressed by our medal-winning athletes and their outstanding performances. This 12-day event inspires local population like never before, and creates a lot of discussions.

金門雖不大，但密集的公路網，串起起伏的地形和獨特的植被，就像公路電影一般，彷彿沒
有盡頭一般，可以盡情奔馳。從金湖飯店到金城方向的環島南路，有一個高地落差的陡坡，當行 駛到最高點準備下坡時，那湛藍一片的海天一色，真的好美。金門不以壯麗取勝，風景往往隱藏 在道路起伏的另一端，如果沒有放慢腳步，或是走進叉路是難以發現的。這一次，Voyager 的團 隊跟著回鄉青年，走進孕育他們的故鄉，將最在地真實的金門樣貌呈現給讀者，讓那些當地人曾 經的角落，能夠再一次地走進你我的記憶，讓金門獨特的人文地景，得以繼續傳承。
Kinmen is not a big place, but extensive road networks across undulating terrains and unique plantations offer experiences like road movies with no ends in sight. When you reach the vintage point on the road that surrounds this island, all you see is turquoise blue sky and ocean connecting at the horizon.Kinmen is not known for grand landscape. Fascinating views are often hidden in unexpected corners that require you to slow down or divert to smaller alleys.Voyager follows a young generation of people returning to their hometown, to present authentic aspects of Kinmen to readers. 金門的王家三姐妹，跟大多數的金門人一樣，金
門出生、成長，高中畢業後前往台灣接受高等教育， 留在外地工作，不過她們在某一個時間，都不約而同 回到了故鄉，想替逐漸凋零的在地文化，用另一種方 式記錄，讓當地人再一次的關心生活的周遭。
Wang sisters have childhood experiences similar to most in Kinmen. They were born and educated in Kinmen, before moving to Taiwan for higher education. After several years of work experiences, though, the three sisters all return to hometown. They aim to document declining local culture in a different away, in order to raise public awareness for its surroundings.
在 2014 年的時候成立了「敬土豆文化工作室」
（The Local Methodology），透過各種公共創意計畫， 促進更多人對於居住的空間和時間的關心。她們三姐 妹皆有文化背景，大姐王莛頎從事博物館、二姐王苓 拍紀錄片，以及小妹王維剛是音樂家，也是土豆音樂 祭的靈魂人物。
Founded in 2014 by the Wangs, The Local Methodology facilitates discussions around local time and space via various creative public programs. The oldest sister, TingChi, utilizes expertise in museum studies. The second, Ling, produces documentaries, while the youngest, Wei-Gang, is a musician, and also the key figure behind its music festival.

個重點的活動。「串」，意味著串門子；「街路」是 金門方言街道的意思，他們借用「城市浪人」在城市

To identify history in daily life, it's also critical to connect
different nodes. Participants shuttled around the town to
learn about each store through games, and contemplated on meanings in life via business activities.
攤開串街路的商家名單，並沒有什麼特別的名店，
而是服務在地人生活所需的商店。當王苓領著我們上
街串門子的時候，每一個店家都彷彿是她多年的好友， 噓寒問暖、閒話家常，得知我們從台灣遠地來訪，都

The event doesn't highlight renowned stores, but include shops that offer local necessities. When Ling walked around the town with us, she's greeted and welcomed. Shop owners introduced their precious tools or key items for their business, such as antique sewing machines. Many barbershops are located in this area to serve soldiers stationed in Kinmen. Green window lattices and old barber chairs brought us back in time to envision glorious old time.

The music festival just finishes in mid-October, and it has grown closer to the ideal situation that connecting and welcoming multiple communities. “Communities are much more than a group of shacks,” said Ling, “and you need to walk into them to discover how beautiful they are.” The music festival serves as a platform to embrace everyone. “Interesting things should happen in Kinmen more.”

His works are popular with American socialite due to its colorfulness and vitality. Recently, he was even invited to be shown his works at British Museum in London. 本來該是與世無爭的昆蟲們，換上了金屬與彩鑲瓷拼裝
而成的斑斕勁裝，英勇而叛逆地效法 1960 年代的嬉皮
們，跨上雄壯威猛的哈雷機車，準備英勇疾駛，尋找地 球上的最後一片淨土。以動物珠寶肩飾驚艷國際的蔡爾
平，受到昇恆昌的邀請，在今年夏天於昇恆昌內湖昇恆
昌內湖旗艦店 5 樓的文化藝廊，展出《哈雷嬉皮風 ‧ 獻座給大自然的原住民》個人特展，開啟人們對珠寶飾 品的另一種想像與觀賞途徑。
Insects, creatures that are usually known for their mildness, are transformed into hippies of the 6os, with metallic and colorful decorations and inlaid ceramic, riding their Harley-Davidson motorcycles and setting out bravely in search for the last virgin land on earth. Internationally renowned for his insect jewellery and shoulder accessories, artist Tsai Erh-Ping has been invited by Ever Rich to present solo exhibition An Aboriginal with a Harley Hippie Style Devotes Himself into the Wind at the Cultural Corridor on the 5th floor of Ever Rich Neihu flagship store this summer. This exhibition will inspire new imaginations and perspectives towards jewellery.

談及這次主題的靈感來源，蔡爾平表示，剛踏入
藝術領域時，恰逢越戰結束，當時的嬉皮們拿著吉他， 把陶片穿一個洞，用皮繩掛在脖子上，期待反璞歸真 的生活；一臺臺哈雷機車發出砰砰砰的劇烈聲響，象 徵著過去的嬉皮精神，六零年代的嬉皮們奮不顧身地
將自身投擲於荒野林間，追求著自然、真愛與和平， 那份不羈的狂野，其實來自於對大自然最原始的渴
望。而為什麼在此次的作品中，騎在哈雷機車上的， 都是蜥蜴、蟋蟀、蠅等這些小生物們呢？ 070
熱愛動植物的蔡爾平，在 學生時期曾飼養過一隻蜥
蜴，也經常讓牠坐在自己 的肩膀上，共度美好的日 常生活，這也難怪其作品
中總是少不了蜥蜴的身影。
When asked about the inspiration As an animal and plant lover, Tsai Erh-Ping once had a pet for this theme, Tsai Erh-Ping lizard during his student years. Tsai often placed his lizard on stated that when he first entered his shoulders, accompanying the art world, the Vietnam War each other. No wonder Tsai's works often include lizards! had just ended, and the hippies would walk around with a guitar in hand and a piece of ceramic with a pierced hole in the middle to wear around the neck with a leather cord, hoping to achieve a lifestyle that returns to the natural state of being. make loud sounds that represent the hippie spirit, and the hippies of the 60s would give up everything to move to the wilderness, pursuing nature, love, and peace. This restriction to boundaries originates from a yearning for authenticity. However, visitors may ask, why are there only creatures such as lizards, crickets, and flies riding on the motorcycles?

Therefore, the artist has specially designed Harley-Davidson motorcycles for these small creatures to set out on a journey to find their promised land. Tsai ErhPing asks: “Do you think these creatures will succeed?” Quoting his father, Tsai stated: “The superstition of yesterday is the science of today. Will the science of today become superstitions in the future?” This explanation removes the outer appearance of glamour and forces viewers to pay attention to the dilemma between human beings and the life and environment of nature.

but also eye-catching, beautiful shoulder accessories. Formerly a businessman, Tsai finally dedicated himself to art and enrolled in Parsons, the famous US graduate school of arts. Tsai's works combine metalwork, ceramics, jewellery,
and sculpture, making a name for himself in the international
art world with insect and animal jewellery through multimedia. Tsai's works have won countless prizes in the US; even celebrities Hillary Clinton and Oprah Winfrey are fans of his
works. Tsai's works are also displayed in institutions such as
Smithsonian Institute in the US, National Palace Museum, and Taipei 101.

With this exhibition, Ever Rich hopes to release quality works of art or collectibles from their boxes into everyday life. Either showcased on a wall or displayed as a sculpture, Tsai ErhPing’s works are not only perfect for display but also ideal as an outfit accessory.

Tsai Erh-Ping deeply believes that each work is a vessel, a window that connects life with the world, conveying a certain attitude and belief. A visually-impaired old lady felt as if she could actually see the beauty of the lizard shoulder accessory she was wearing through the compliments of others. Tsai once agreed to sell his work to a young couple who loved his jewellery but could not afford to buy it, filling their eyes with tears of happiness and gratitude. Tsai Erh-Ping stresses repeatedly: “Wearing my accessories does not make a person nobler in character or status. What my work does is help people forget their original identity and title and return to the most authentic self.” By transforming his love for his hometown, the environment, and life into pieces of artworks, artist Tsai Erh-Ping reaches out to more lives around the world through his jewellery.

Despite having lived for many years in the US, Tsai Erh-Ping believes that his hometown is to thank for his international visibility. “My life consists of three handfuls of soil.” Although physically overseas, his heart is attached to the soil of his hometown. However, there is an image of a land that emerges only in dreams. Raised near the Beigang River, Tsai's grew up in a house in front of a local temple with beam carvings that were embedded into the consciousness of Tsai's life. Therefore, Tsai Erh-Ping created a space filled with plants and greenery, with non-toxic and natural soil that changes the scenery with the seasons in the US, and here has become a source of inspiration for the artist's creative work.

Lin Shiao Tung Speaks to Nature of Jewellery to Capture Memorable Moments
玉石承載著風潮！在昇恒昌基金會的邀請
下 ，自 8 月 11 日 ～ 11 月 15 日 ，於 桃 園 國
際機場第二航廈 C 區的文化藝廊，展出《林 曉同 藝術的浪漫與叛逆》藝術展。七千年的
華人文化傳統，不論是玉珮或玉鐲，那一抹
使人難以忘懷的綠，含藏著婉約旖旎又無法 直白袒露的獨特東方情懷，可說是玉石最迷 人的靈魂；同為珠寶設計師和藝術家身份的 林曉同，挑戰了玉石的舊時代形象，重新賦
予嶄新而清新的面貌，以自己與兒女的生活 點滴為出發，創作出圓潤、可愛讓人忍不住 一親芳澤的小熊、青鳥，甚至甜美夢幻的蝴 蝶結，一系列充滿赤子之心創作，掀起了珠 寶界裡前所未見的「綠時尚」。
As jades rise again in the fashion world, Ever Rich Foundation invites Lin Shiao Tung to exhibit his latest works in Terminal 2 gallery at Taoyuan International Airport from August 11th to November 15th, titled "Romance and Rebellion in Art". Jade, as necklaces or wristlets, has been a fascinating jewellery material over 7,000 years of Chinese tradition. Many people are mesmerized by elegance and unique Oriental qualities in jades. As a jewellery designer and artist, Lin redefines jade with new and refreshing interpretations. Based on moments in family life with children, he creates adorable bear and bird figures, as well as fantastic bows. These playful works bring more greens into fashion jewellery.

一隻由翠玉所雕琢而成的小熊，抓著汽球乘風翱
翔，可愛靈巧的模樣，惹人憐愛，打破一般人對於「玉
飾」的刻板印象；創作時，映入林曉同腦中的畫面是： 女兒房間床頭上，那隻跟她歲數一樣大的布娃娃熊，
是他送給女兒的一歲生日禮物，小熊就這樣靜靜地陪 伴女兒，度過了十幾個年頭，「就像我這樣的一個東 方父親，最靜定無瀾的陪伴。」林曉同感懷地說，女 兒十九歲時，決定隻身前往美國念書，從申請學校到
種種安排都不假他人之手，一直在他心中特別獨立的 女兒，竟在機場入海關前，把頭埋入他的胸膛，潸然 淚下。
A jade bear flies in the wind with balloons. This cute and adorable figure change how people normally think about jade jewellery. When Lin creates this work, he thinks of the old bear toy in his daughter’s room he gave for her oneyear-old birthday. The bear accompanies her childhood for more than a decade, just like father. He also remembers how his daughter burst into tears at the airport before she went to college in America.

Even though he wanted to, Lin didn't ask his daughter not
to go abroad. It's important to let go and let her grow. The
bear series represents key moments in her life, such as first football, first dance, and even deep in the sleep. When
he reflects on these memories, Lin feels like the old man creating Pinocchio with all his love and devotion, so each bear can focus on the moment without fear.

Lin believes that ever y piece of jeweller y is born to
memorize certain key moments. Happy Bluebird is his first
jade work, inspired by a conversation with his son. He used to read bedtime stories to his son, no matter how long
the day was. After reading The Blue Bird one evening, his son asked about happiness. Lin felt sorry that he couldn't spend much time with his son, but he felt story time before
bed is a happiness moment. These bonds and connections are transformed into jade birds that symbolize all precious moments.

His works are not only changing formats and themes, but also generating new technologies. Jade processing is often
standardized for different purposes, such as necklace, bracelet or ornament. To maximize efficiency, many
styles are generated to avoid inferior quality. Compared to traditional relief, it requires more efforts and materials to produce works such as bear or bird. Lin is willing to communicate with craftsmen to create unconventional designs.

Creative process should be fun and meaningful, says Lin. It is important to stay pure as children to speak directly to minds. For example, he is the first artist to create bow-

Many countries have their own signature gems, such as pearl in Japan and emerald in Britain. These qualities
also reflect their characters and cultures. Which gem can really speak for Chinese culture? Lin believes jade will
be the answer. Based on personal experiences and local cultures, his works connect to memories and emotions
in viewers and users. As airport bridges Taiwan and the
world, he hopes tourists and travelers can encounter unique jewellery design from Taiwan, and contemplate on personal stories and cultural traits.

Mutually beneficial for teaching and learning
光譜計畫分為兩階段，首先舉辦「全國大專院校
觀光公益營提案競賽」，參賽隊伍結合「學生需求」、 「在地連結」和「公益關懷」三大元素的概念，規劃
一系列的課程，經過初選、決選出優勝隊伍，親自執 「光譜計畫」觀光公益營，是由昇恆昌和其三大基金會之一 江許笋文教基金會共同舉辦的公益活動。從光譜三原色為概
念發想，旨在喚醒大學生們的夢想種子，鼓勵其投身公益、 傳遞給成長中的學子對觀光事業的興趣和認知，透過有趣的
營隊活動創造 1+1>2 的教學效益。昇恆昌副總經理江松圳表 示：「光譜計畫讓公益活動不僅是單方面的給予，而是透過 策劃、整合及資訊吸收的過程，創造學習交流，並在付出過 程中獲得成長。」
Spectrum Program is co-organized by Ever Rich and Chiang Education Foundation. Inspired by three primary colors in the spectrum, it motivates college students to get involved with charitable causes and introduces tourism industry to them through special activities. “The program creates mutual engagements,” said Ever Rich Deputy General Manager Songzheng Jiang. “Planning, integration and communication process benefits every participant.”

In the program, college students pitch their summer camp proposals that include three components: student needs, local connections, and charitable causes. Winners receive resources to execute their proposals. Winning team from National Taipei University last year organized a threeday summer camp for students from Jieshou Junior High School in Taoyuan City. 今年擴大舉辦第二屆的「光譜計畫」，不但將營
隊時間拉長至四天三夜，同時將公益版圖擴展至高雄， 分成南、北兩區舉辦提案競賽，並分別在桃園仁和國
中及高雄旗山國中舉辦觀光營，最終南北兩區的優勝 隊伍由銘傳大學和高雄師範大學拿下。大學生們透過 籌辦活動增加實務經驗，並在執行過程當中，分享實
用知識、同時開啟孩子們的新視野。參與本屆「光譜 計畫」，來自銘傳大學的鄭瑾瑜同學就表示，能與大
型企業合作的機會非常珍貴，在參與計劃的過程中， 學習到如何向企業提案以及團隊合作的精神；同時，

Winners, in the end, came from Ming Chuan University and National Kaohsiung Normal University. College students learn practical experiences in the process, and communicate knowledge and information to teenagers. Ming Chuan University student Jinyu Zheng thinks it's a precious opportunity to work with major company, and learns proposal and teamwork skills. It's also very rewarding for her to receive positive feedbacks from teenagers, including a video.

Professional classes in Spectrum Program are unique, as instructors are all Ever Rich employees. They design lesson plans, teaching materials, and volunteer in their holidays. These employees embody Ever Rich commitment on action and hands-on experience.
Ever Rich is the largest duty-free shop in Taiwan, and supporting tourism and charity over the years. Spectrum Program highlights local culture and tourism industry. Renhe Junior High School in Taoyuan, for example, is located close to Daxi Old Street, but most students are not aware of its culture and history. College students from Ming Chuan University design a special itinerary to visit local museums and farming villages. National Kaohsiung Normal University team integrates local history, culture and geography into a treasure hunt, so teenagers from Qishan Junior High School can appreciate their local environment. 091

When she wanders in the corridors in Fort San Domingo, says jewelry designer Xinyun Liu, she experiences various intersections in this location. Nobuyoshi Araki reveals his perspective to love via photos of Yoko.
teikoukei's photography on Tokyo is instinct. He does not do it on purpose either try to reinterpret that moment without any mistake.
He just seize ephemeral moments just like the ice lolly was melted, but the stick was there. Love in the private matter to the extreme is
