Board 1 : Inspiration
The Andy and Martin were asked by Colours May Vary to install a window display at their shop in Leeds. Together we thought it would be a great idea to shoot a short film of them installing the window. However they could not do two things at once therefore Greg and myself volunteered to film their progress throughout the day. I really enjoy videography and photography therefore I felt confident to pull off the video. For my inspiration the Hinterland video that was also filmed at Colours May Vary, captured a certain mood through the use of music, depth of field and light and dark experiments. The Elcaf video, is slightly different with experimental sound with interesting cutting to fit with the playful tone. A mix of both of these styles would suit Hungry Sandwich Club perfectly.

Collectively we put together a quick story board where I sketched out ideas I had for shots to help break up the film of them apply vinyl. Andy and Martin wanted a playful vibe that would help capture their personalities therefore I wrote down fun traits to shoot on the day. These included the T-shirts they were, their trainers etc.

Collaboratively Greg and myself both filmed on our DSLR cameras and we took turns to video in the warmth of the shop. We also stood outside in shifts with a GoPro camera in order to capture a time lapse of the boys at work. Below are some stills in order of how we edited video. I am quite pleased with how the clips came out. Me and Greg wanted to do more than just film the boys installing the vinyl on the window therefore we broke the film up with smaller details that added depth to the video, we used a story board we previously sketched out as a reference.
