Concept The initial ideas for this project was to create something that focused on the research that was undertaken of Ian Anderson, looking into how he made album sleeves for people as he grew up and some of the more major artist he did work for. Having looked into these the album sleeves have on them the different groups in which Ian Anderson made artwork for, the colours are then associated with the teams from Sheffield. Page 1/2

The final sleeve has been made more into a sleeve which could be sold and more recognisable as a sleeve, using the circle in the middle of the artwork and then also the circle in the middle of the vinyl has been created to add more of a consistency to the whole album.

To produce a album cover for Evan Christ Duga 3
The idea for this album cover came from the waves that are created by the Duga 3 transmitter , these are then visually represented through the circles, building like a wave would that is transmitted. The imagery used is the actual object that makes the waves in Ukraine.
The colours used are very dull and depressing because the song had an eerie feel to it and was about the cold war which was during the winter time.

Concept
To brand a retirement home.
The retirement home is in a set of three, so the people within the home can exchange to the 3 places that are grouped together, the 3 places are Paris, London and Dubai. These 3 places then have something different about them, so the one in London is all about comfort, the one in Paris is all about Gourmet food and the one in Dubai is about the outdoors and luxury.
Threefold means 3 times as good or 3 times as many, so the people in the home are basically getting 3 homes for the price of one and thats how the name ties in to the concept of the retirement home. The ‘3 times as good’ is a slogan that is used across the branding.

Concept
To produce a new organic jam that fits into a big market of Jams, providing something different.
The jams use a vector illustration that provides a different look to the usual jams, they type creates a strong organic look and it will be printed on some recycled white stock adding to the aesthetic.

Ingredients: 900g Raspberries 900g granulated sugar
Sleeve Design
Prep time: 10mins Cook time: 50mins
1 Put raspberries in a large heavy based saucepan. Bring to boil.
2 Lower heat and simmer for 2mins. The fruit should then be soft.
3 Tip in the sugar. Stir over a very low heat until the sugar has completely dissolved. Raise the heat, bring to a full rolling boil, then rapidly boil for 5mins. Don’t stir though – until the setting point of 105C is reached.
4 Remove from the heat, skim off any excess scum then stir a knob of butter across the surface (this helps to dissolve any remaining scum). Leave for about 15 mins so the fruit can settle. Pour into PUREejars, and seal.

Concept The jams have a sleeve that can be torn off and on the reverse there is a recipe that people can keep and create there own jams from. The idea is to have different seasonal jams each season on the reverse of the sleeves so they would change and people wouldn’t be getting the same jams.

Concept The magazine is a all about Directors of films, as a group we realised there wasn’t any magazine that is only about directors, so our magazine has all the information about these directors and information on films they have done. Giving people a catalogue of directors that they can refer to when choosing a film.
The front covers contain the image of the director that, that issue is about and is simple, clean and straight to the point. There is a by line below the name so people know its about Directors.

Concept An ongoing brief, the logo design is in keeping with the style of Japanese design but also works well across English speaking countries, the logo can be taken apart or work well on a really large scale or really small scale for the rest of the branding.
