Deliverables

To create a new range of organic jams, how can a new jam fit in todays market of jams, how can it be made to be more fun and engaging.

How the bottles will stand out off the shelf, how are they going to look different. How the inside of the product works with the outside, How the bottles can be used afterwards or how the product can be made differently to whats out there already.

A new range of organic jams, the sleeves and actual jam jars.

The aesthetic

Looking into different types of organic jams, looking out for organic bottles and packaging in general that has this kind of rustic look.

The aesthetic of the images above is of rustic, organic packaging that would attract the sort of audience who are interested in the environment and live are part of the demographic i am aiming my jams at.

Further Research For some further research i went to a shop to look at different jams, this gave me an idea of what is already out there and how i can create something that is different and would stand off the shelf.

Development I firstly started to develop them imagery i was going to use thinking about what type of illustrations i might create that fitted the style i was looking for and resembled the fruit well.

I wanted to create something that was fun and playful and something that is not really out there at the moment.

Further Development

Using the illustrations and other information i started to think about the layout of the sleeve and how it might look on different stocks.

Doing this i could also check to see if the perforation worked and the sleeve came off easily.

Aesthetic The jams use a vector illustration that provides a different look to the usual jams, they are fun and playful and will attract a large range of customers. The type creates a strong organic look and it is printed on recycled white stock adding to the aesthetic that will make them stand off the shelf.

Concept

Concept

The jams have a sleeve that can be torn off and on the reverse there is a recipe that people can use the jams to create meal.

This recipe changes for each jam and people can start to build a collection of different recopies.

In keeping with making the jams fun and engaging this adds to this with the tear off sleeve making it more engaging and interactive, it is also very different to what is out there at the moment.

Further concept The jam can be used as normal along with other condiments or the person who buys is can create the recipe on the back for something that is slightly different.

Further concept After the jam has been used it is encouraged that the jar is used again to maybe hold things or as a cup, just to give it that extra life to stop people form buy extra pots they don’t need when they could just use this jam jar.
