The Big Exit Zero Information Page
Everything you wanted to know about Cape May’s peppy periodical... and then some FREQUENTLY ASKED Qs What happened to the Exit Zero Store and Cookhouse? We are in the process of planning Exit Zero Filling Station, a super-exciting project right across the road from our old place. It will be a gas station, convenience & merchandise store and restaurant! The leases on our old building expired so, while the new HQ is being built, we are producing this magazine from a secret location on the island. When will the new place be open? Late spring — that’s as precise as we can get right now. What if I need to visit you in person? We should be able to take care of your requirements by phone and/or email, but if you REALLY need to make a visit, call us first on 609-770-8479. If you don’t have a shop, how do I buy a Discount Deck or EZ merchandise? You can buy the Discount Deck either by calling the above number and paying by credit card or by visiting our online store at ezstore.us. For now, there is a limited amount of stock in our online store — a few selections of T-shirts and hoodies, mostly. I used to stop by the store for my copy of the magazine. Where do I go now? We deliver all over the island, and as far as Rio Grande. Closest spots to our old office include Sunset Liquors, CVS, West End Garage and Cappelletti’s. Why are you no longer offering subscriptions? Too many people were either receiving their issues very late or, in some cases, not at all. That’s all down to the vagaries of sending by bulk mail, which was our only option, unless you want to pay $100 to get EZ delivered first-class (some people actually HAVE signed up). Please note that you can still subscribe to the color issues — $25 for three issues. Call 609-770-8479 to order, or visit ezstore.us. How much do Americans spend on flip-flops? About $2.5 billion — with a B — per year. Did you get your summer pair yet? This footwear might be the oldest on the planet, dating back to 4,000 BC. You can read more about them in our upcoming color issue!

Celebrity Sightings
On The Wild Side
Local Landmark
The late, lamented Joan Rivers — sixth best stand-up comedian in the world, according to Rolling Stone — wasn’t always breaking down celebrity fashion faux pas. On a few occasions, she was spotted sunbathing at the Cove. No joking here.
The oldest living osprey recorded in New Jersey has returned to his Delaware bayshore nest, where he’s still raising young. The bird is 17, and the average lifespan is only eight to 10 years. He doesn’t have a name; we’ll just call him “legend.”
After renovations, Mayer’s Tavern is open! The building has been serving saltydog fishermen ever since the 40s. Over the years, it’s earned a reputation as an unapologetic dive where more than a few fights — and even one shootout — have gone down… but that’s all part of the charm. Now, 33-year-old Alex Laudeman of Lobster House family fame has taken over. The space, which caters to everyone, has been given a much-needed refresh, but the character remains.
ARE YOU SMARTER THAN AN EDITOR? IT’S RIDDLE TIME! «Here is this week’s riddle — It is a Sunday morning and a Cape May man comes to find his wife dead. The maid said she was cleaning, the mailman said he was delivering mail, the nanny said she was teaching the kids and the farmer said he was harvesting his crops. Who done it? Answer is on page 18

Ramblings From The Editor
L
Ideas, idle gossip and occasionally important odds ’n’ ends... by Jack Wright
ast week I spent some time in the happiest country in the world. A place where it rains more often than not. A place without a single beach. No, it’s not my home nation of Scotland, which has PLENTY of beaches but which would NEVER be acclaimed as the happiest country on earth — the folks there are way too cynical for that. Actually, I was in Copenhagen, capital city of Denmark, where, despite the rain and an income tax rate of 50-70%, the people seem content enough that they finished top of the World Happiness Report for 2016. (Okay, they were pipped to second place by Norway for 2017, but still...) Was there anything that immediately jumped out in Copenhagen? No question. I have never seen so many bikes in all my life. And I’ve never seen traffic systems so focused on keeping cyclists safe and moving. I took a one-hour walk through the city at 8am. Yes, it was raining, but that didn’t stop anyone. I saw an unending procession of well-dressed people going to work on their bikes. (Apparently, stylish rainproof capes are all the rage.) The
ages ranged from toddlers to people in their 60s. What I didn’t see was anyone overweight, which I’m guessing has as much to do with the diet as the fact that so many Danes are active. I also saw dozens of kids being transported in front-facing buggies that looked so much safer than those contraptions that I see being pulled behind bikes in Cape May, something that always makes me shudder. I was in Copenhagen with my best bud Victor Grasso, Cape May’s genius artist who
has a solo show in the city in September. On the same trip, he came to Scotland to help me celebrate my hometown soccer team St Mirren (go, Saints!) winning their championship, so the least I could do was help him scout out all things Danish. (No, we didn’t get to see the Little Mermaid.) We also stopped off in Iceland, which finished third in the 2017 poll, by the way, though I could never be happy in a country where Manhattans cost $25. Ouch. I say all this because I hope that the committee which is looking into improving bike routes on this island is given the tools to make serious recommendations that could really make a difference. We all know how rough it is to drive around Cape May in the summer, and how difficult it is to get a parking spot. Wouldn’t it be great if we could lead the way as a resort town that stopped being so heavily reliant on the automobile? (Block Island and Martha’s Vineyard are already there.) And just think of all those calories we could chalk off.

Bartender Of The Week Every week, we visit a local bar/restaurant to get the inside scoop from the person slinging the drinks. This week Pat McBride from The Rusty Nail is up. How long have you been bartending? Eight years. Favorite drink to make? A true Mai Tai. I’d rather make that than muddle a mojito. And it’s delicious. What’s your bartending pet peeve? When a customer asks what’s my favorite drink to make. Haha touche’. Biggest tip you ever received? $200 plus from J.D. I don’t want to entirely call him out!

E
very week, the Exit Zero crew goes for lunch (or dinner or, maybe even on occasion, breakfast) at one of Cape May’s excellent dining establishments. Then we give you the skinny on what we ate, what we talked about (or some of what we talked about) and who spat their drink from laughing too hard. (Or who didn’t get the joke — womp, womp.) The place: 5 West Pub in North Cape May, from the people who brought you Tisha’s on Washington Street Mall. The declaration: “People should never wear pants darker than their shirt,” said Jack, upon entering 5 West. “The only exception is a white tee-shirt and jeans.” Diane, wearing pants darker than her shirt, protested. (No, this has nothing to do with… anything.) The server: Amanda from Erma, who is both friendly and pregnant. Her greatest adventure? Being a mom. Awww! The apps: We ordered the chicken fritters, partly because — if we’re being honest — “fritters” sounds so much better than “tenders.” To our culinary delight, they tasted better, too. Katie warned they were too hot to eat, and Jack and Mike responded by immediately biting into a fritter and burning their tongues. Worth it. We were also treated to a flavorful poke dish with which the 5 West kitchen has been experimenting. “Poke is the new thing,” said Katie, who consumes enough Food Network to know. The conversation: Jack told us about his recent trip to Iceland, where Manhattans were $25. (Happily, the drinks were considerably more affordable at 5 West.) He also ate fermented shark from a tin. (Even more happily, this is not on the menu at 5 West.) The interruption: Michael Kline of Exit Zero Jazz Festival called about some business during lunch. “Oh, cool,” he said. “I’ll make the column because I called and interrupted.” The star of the meal: Toss-up between Mike’s mahi mahi and Jack’s burger, topped with roasted pear. 5 West walks that sweet-andsavory line better than… than… uh... a really great walker of lines. The bummer: Katie’s car broke right before coming to 5 West. “I’ve got the only Subaru that’s a lemon!” she said. The upside: Two Yuenglings successfully drowned her sorrows. The dessert: Diane — maybe tipsy — insisted on Dunkin’ Donuts just across the street. She got chocolate on her shirt, but it’s cool. Apparently, she shouldn’t have been wearing it with those pants anyway.

Doughnut Ambush Of The Week
Every week, we hit some lucky people up with a warm bucket of doughnuts from RSK! We are always looking for ways to bring good cheer and happiness to the streets of Cape May — hence our latest pay-it-forward ploy... the Doughnut Ambush! Every week, our photographer walks the streets armed with a bucket of doughnuts, courtesy of Joe and Lisa of RSK Doughnuts, on Carpenters Lane. There are about 40 mini doughnuts in here. It’s quite the treat. You can buy one at RSK. Perfect for the beach, or in front of the fire, drinking coffee and watching a movie. This week’s winners are Kelly, Bobby and Andrea from Cape May, who are servers at the Ugly Mug and were ambushed while “working.” So who would they most like to share this bucket with? George Clooney. PHOTOGRAPH BY ALEKSEY MORYAKOV... TO ORDER COPIES, PLEASE CALL (609) 770-8479

Undertow
U
Terry O’Brien’s legendary column is back! Social satire, shameless plugs... and general self-indulgence.
ndertow: Billions and billions zinged. Twas a big week last week here at Undertow Central, but you probably knew that. My show, Downton Stabbey, debuted at Iron Pier Craft House last Thursday to a full, buzz-y house. But the magic really happened the month prior, when my peerless cast put in hours of hard work after their hours of hard work at work. (I’m a writer.) I used to start rehearsing my new shows 10-12 weeks from opening but discovered that, come week 12, nobody remembered what the hell we did in week one, so you end up re-rehearsing all that stuff and neglecting the other stuff, which gets tossed together at the last minute because it’s Tuesday and opening night is Thursday! I’m proud to say that we did ALL THAT, but in only four weeks. (I am nothing if not efficient.) But my cast, to their credit, pulled it all together and put on a fine night of entertainment. Laughs were plentiful, the acting strenuous, and hardly anybody cried. My production partner, Kevin Ebner, was the engine that drove the machine, his manic
energy lifting every scene he was in, which was just about every scene (in a different costume and persona). Amy Plantarich crushed two genders. (And is, I discovered, quite ticklish.) Becca Sundstrom, our heart and soul, kept the rudder steady (when she wasn’t naked in the closet.). And Chris Nagle said his lines. For the most part. (I kid; he was great, but I fawned over him last week.) I could easily fill the rest of this column singing the praises of my cast, but instead I will talk about myself. (Because that’s what we’re all here for, isn’t it?) Downton Stabbey was
the first show I created from page to stage in 2015 for an entirely different cast and venue, so it was deeply satisfying to see this nearly brand-new production met with such vigorous goodwill. (Never underestimate the power of fart jokes and men in drag.) For 90 minutes we transformed the tasteful Iron Pier dining room into an intimate theater space where a fantastic crowd enjoyed a rollicking show. (I love writing my own reviews.) Speaking of the crowd... Kathleen Scullion, whose great regret in life (or so I assume) was missing Downton Stabbey the first time around, finally got to see it and seemed to truly enjoy herself when she wasn’t on the phone. (I kid, I kid. Kath is a longtime supporter and has yet to miss a Beatles or Billy Joel show.) She was there with Dean Bloemer, who supplied me with the ad-lib opportunity of the night (a little adult for these pages, but suffice to say I tagged it with a “That’s what she said!” Dean also hung with the cool kids at the Ugly Mug until the wee hours and ate half my fries) and Sue Polcer, keyboard player for Love Me Dudes and The Strangers, who said she

laughed so much her lungs hurt. I think she may be doing it wrong. Also in attendance, of course, were my personal stalkers Randy and Wendy Redelico. Wendy always brings me a bag of new books to read, which I think is very nice, but I also think might be her clearing our her garage. And Randy took it upon himself to collect tips for the actors from a crowd who may have thought they were being robbed. I wrote a joke into the opening scene just for them and am surprised they’re still talking to me. There were a few other friendly faces in the crowd, but nobody who made direct eye contact so I’ll spare them the agony of being named. (It was Michele Mulligan who, to her credit, wouldn’t rat out her friends.) I was mostly surprised by the faces I DIDN’T know, which was most of them. The Iron Pier Craft House team did a phenomenal job marketing the show aided by the memorable poster created by Doree Bardes. The tone for the whole night was set by the AH-MAH-ZING food by crafted by Chef Ryan McCabe and his brigade. Final thank-yous to Tracey, Josh, Anita and manager Donna Russo for helping me stay above water during service. As a waiter I was a pretty good actor. And special mention to John Fullerton, who devised a light and sound scheme so simple even five actors couldn’t screw it up. Not that we didn’t try. And the best part of all? I got paid to do it. Yay, capitalism! And, uh, art. Yay art. By now, you’re probably sick and tired of reading about Downton Stabbey, so here are 10 more things about Downton Stabbey... (Kidding! But the next show is 5/31. You should go.) To support this and other future creative endeavors (the next of which I’ll be announcing soon), head over to patreon.com/ terryoke and pledge your support. $1 a month can make a difference. Erstwhile karaoke singer (and US Coast Guardsman and Patreon supporter) Ryan Sinclair
May 3, 2018 made his semi-annual pilgrimage to Rio Station for karaoke last week. Ryan and I have been buds since he was single and my kids were babies. For a decade he bugged me to get “Cocaine Blues” by Johnny Cash and now he never sings it. You karaoke people... Anyway, Ryan and a group of his friends have started an apparel line called Take Chances (takechancesphilly.com) inspired by their late friend. I’d tell you more but I don’t want to cry. I’ll be wearing the nifty hat he gifted me at the Beach Shack at Rusty Nail this coming Monday. Which reminds me... I’ll be singing at the Beach Shack at Rusty Nail this Monday! With Tim Joyce playing guitar! The TNT Duo (T and T, get it?) will be there alternating Sundays and Mondays through October. Tim and I were both in Southwind in the 90s (he was a founding member, I was just the good-looking, thin front man with great hair for a few years) and joined up again in 2016 to play all your favorite soft radio hits from 1972. Swing on by and remember, I can’t ORDER a drink, but if someone BRINGS me a drink we’re good. BONUS GIG: If you happen to be in Wildwood this Saturday night I’ll be sitting in on vocals with Ten Eddy Drive (a band) at The Deck, 930-130. I feel so mercenary! Judging from the set lists, I’ll be singing a lot of the rock songs, and none of the rap, which is probably best for all. By the time you read this we’ll be about a week away from Billy Joel Night, Cape May Part II at Cabanas. It’s Saturday the 12th at 7pm and will feature my awesome band, The Strangers, playing precisely 42 hits and deep cuts from America’s foremost pop composer, which is more than he plays at his shows, the jerk! I’ll also be hosting the karaoke at Carney’s this summer, which I’ll get into more as the date gets closer (June 26), but reaction to my first season there has been universal. “Really? At your age?” Hope to see some of you out and about. ’Til next week, don’t get caught in The Undertow.

The Old Fogey
Y
Ah, those good old Cape May days... by Jackson D’Catur
ou may have seen me, as I took a drive through our fair city, sitting in the back of our electric self-operating motor car. If I looked a little nervous, forgive me: I remember when we first allowed motorized vehicles in Cape May, and a chap (ladies were not allowed to take the wheel then, for fear the vibrations might make them hysterical. Eventually Amelia Earhart visited town and called us all Silly Old Fools, and challenged us to a race, in which she not only beat me and Ernie Hemingway and Henry Ford, but lapped us. Ladies were still banned from driving, after, but we have the town statute changed to “for reasons of not showing up Silly Old men” which seemed fair as well as sexist) had to have a bear walking ahead of him waving a red flag to warn pedestrians of an oncoming charabanc. Why bears? This was just after the Great Jersey Ursine Riots, when to appease the influx of rowdy bears we agreed to give them jobs in law enforcement. It was just like the New York City model, except they did the
same for their “Irish Problem.” In fairness, our bears worked out better. I recall, too, the days where there cars were so scarce that meeting one coming the other way resulted in you both coasting to a halt (I had an anchor from the Lady Anne that I used to throw off the side to slow me), getting out, shaking each other’s hands then spending ten minutes with a hand crank getting started again. Five of those minutes were used up in finding small children to perform the cranking, of course: a gent didn’t want to
soil his calfskin driving gloves. When I heard that a car had been developed that was not only powered by the same mysterious force that shocks trespassers to the Mansion to the ground AND shuns any notion of needing a person to drive, I was intrigued and horrified. I do not fear a machine uprising as many of you do, as I am certain that one rainy day will rust the treacherous robots into submission, but I do not trust them to ferry me around. I must say it was a dream — totally silent and as fast as Young Albert when on the scent of a wounded Shoebie. I had asked my staff to take out the back seats and instal a bath, and was having a swell time. All went well until we happened upon a herd of pre-season Wildwooders crossing where they were not allowed, who started howling in superstitious fear. Well, I assumed we would run them down, as always but damn my eyes, if the car did not instead opt to run into a bench instead, causing me to lose my loofah! I tell you, these so-called intelligent devices are banned until they get their priorities right!

Catherine Dugan’s guide to getting out there... this week, fall in love with Cape May again
t happens in the best of relationships. At the beginning, things are exciting and surprising, and you annoy your friends by gushing all the time. Then, as the years, and the decades, roll by, you begin to take things for granted. You may even be surprised when others bestow compliments — you don’t get jealous when Coastal Living, Conde Nast Traveler and TripAdvisor come calling, or when an out-of-town friend tries a new restaurant before you. Break out of your rut. It’s time to remember why you fell in love with Cape May all those years ago. The Spring Celebration at the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities (MAC) offers a chance to mix things ups and look at the town with fresh eyes. Spring is the perfect time to rekindle your appreciation for America’s Oldest Seaside Resort. Start by rethinking your accommodations — try camping out, if you usually stay at a bed and breakfast. The Beachcomber has a teepee that may be just the ticket for a family weekend. Or, treat
yourself to luxury if you usually keep things basic — choose a romantic inn with all the frills. Consider casual crabs from H&H if you usually prefer fine dining. Try the new place that moved in where an old favorite once stood. Then, revisit old rituals. When was the last time you watched the sunset ceremony? Or rented a kayak? Or went fishing? Or rode a tandem bike? Stay out late and eat pizza on the promenade. Watch the stars. Wake up on Saturday, May 12 and head over to Emlen Physick Estate, where you can Sip into Spring from 10 to 4. Sample
Bloody Marys and mimosas, wine and beer, empanadas and crepes, and cheese and ribs. Master Chef Joseph Poon will give a demonstration of Slicing and Dicing: Watermelons and More at the Carriage House Café and Tearoom at 12:45. Tickets are $20. Chef Poon is a Philadelphia chef who has appeared on the Food Network and on Ellen. There’s a workshop on Stylish Succulents for Your Home Garden at 10:30 and 11:30, and you can take your creation home as a souvenir. Tickets are $20. Make your reservation at capemaymac.org. Rediscover the sweet side of Cape May with a Chocolate Tasting Tour on Saturday from 1-3. Visit select homes on this selfguided tour, and sample a different treat at each property — $20 for adults, $15 for children. Or, on May 19, partake of the Chocolate Lover’s Feast — seven plated courses of delicious chocolate dishes at the Blue Rose Inn, 653 Washington Street. Admission is $40. For more information, call 609-8845404. Buy souvenir boxes of salt water taffy. Take a trolley tour. Fall in love again.

The Movie Column By Tom Sims of Cape May Film Society
T
he weather is finally starting to turn, right? And you know what that means, people! Tourists! They will be coming from all over. Or maybe you have plans to get out there and be a visitor in some other parts! Travel changes our outlook — improves our perspective. To get outside your element and somewhere different helps you appreciate what you have — hopefully… maybe. A good movie that carries you far away should have the same impact. This week, let’s celebrate the 10th anniversary of a true hidden gem. The Pool was an exceptionally filmed, well-told story that was barely recognized when it was first released. It appears on the Sundance Now app. The story begins with a young man named Venkatesh (played by Venkatesh Chavan) who lives in poverty, working at a hotel in Goa, India. He spends time with his pal, Jhangir (played by Jhangir Badshah), a boy about five years younger than him. They run the streets of Goa when they’re not working — hustling (in a good way) for
The Pool is worth another look extra money. Venkatesh is infatuated with a home on the wealthy side of town — one that has a beautiful in-ground pool. He is mesmerized by the water. He tells his friend that he wants to go in the pool. The friend tells him to wait till the owners are gone and jump in. But Venkatesh is determined to be invited to swim in the pool. Our protagonist spends his time getting to know the father and daughter who live at the house. He endears himself to them in an attempt to get into the pool. He can’t under-
stand why neither of them ever steps foot in the pool. What he finds along the way is that their story is much more on the “deep end” that he could’ve ever imagined. This film was written and directed by Chris Smith. You certainly have not heard of him, but he is a documentary filmmaker. One of my favorite films from him is the first Yes Men (2003, we showed the sequel and third installment of the trilogy at our film festival). With The Pool, Smith demonstrates that he can create praiseworthy narrative film as well. Smith uses almost all completely unknown actors in this film, and they all turn in noteworthy performances. The plot takes subtle turns, and the dialogue employs an economy of words to get its point across. And I’m a sucker for a film that has self-sacrifice as a major theme. Although it has been neglected for 10 years, celebrate this film with me and check it out. Please email your comments to tomhsims@aol.com so I can publish them here.

The Answer Lady
T
he Answer Lady invites inquiries from gentle readers on all manner of relationship quandaries, matters of the heart and ethics. If you’d like to send a query, write to info@exitzero. us. Or, simply sit back, enjoy a cup of coffee and contemplate the wisdom herein. Dear Answer Lady My sister is getting married in September and I am the maid-of-honor. I am a plus-size girl and have spent, it seems, my whole life losing and gaining the same 20 pounds. I’d really like to lose the weight so I don’t look so, shall we say, opulent in the VERY unattractive bridesmaid dresses my sister, who clearly has no taste but will soon have a husband, has chosen. I also don’t want to go through the usual starvation diets that I have subscribed to in the past. What to do? — Weighing In Dear Weighing Two thoughts. Your sister may not have the best taste in dresses but does have the good taste to not only include you, but honor you by making you her maid-of-honor. In other words, she loves you just the way you are.As to the weight issue — why not make up
Wise answers to perplexing questions
your mind to lose the weight by changing your lifestyle and embrace that change by making it permanent? The Answer Lady suggests a membership at North Beach Gym and, if you can manage it, maybe some personal training to get you jump-started. Try to put off the final fitting until it is absolutely necessary. Remember, it is about improving your health, not about fitting into a dress. Although, that would be one heck of an ego boost. Dear Answer Lady My next door neighbor’s back yard is a
junkyard of old toys, old tools and old beach chairs. Ours is a pristine garden surrounding a lovely inground pool. We specifically designed it so that we can entertain. Which we do. Imagine our horror to be next door to Sanford & Son. I know they are “summer” people who inherited the house and use it strictly for beach HDQs but surely there is some law they are breaking. They know we disapprove and I suspect have made the situation worse, knowing that. What kind of good neighbor policy is that? — Disgruntled Dear Disgruntled The Answer Lady doubts your neighbor is breaking any laws. Ordinances tend not to deal with tidiness or the lack thereof. Forcing your will on them, giving them the stink eye and other acts of disapproval, have not had the impact you desired. The Answer Lady suggests you pay Church’s Nursery & Landscaping a visit. Some tall shrubbery coupled with a nice tall stockade fence — Murphy’s Fencing is down the road from Church’s — should block out the blight nicely and provide you the privacy you’ll need to make your outdoor soirées a hit.

Bird Droppings
T
Dispatches from the nation’s birdwatching capital… by Seymore Thanu
his column was inspired by my conversation with a Cape May resident as we waited our turn in the dentist’s office. While she did not identify herself as a “bird watcher,” she enjoyed watching the birds coming to her feeders and once even attended a Cape May Bird Observatory field trip. My suspicion is that Linda, as she identified herself, is much like most locals, appreciative of the wealth of natural history Cape May has to offer, but most interested in the birds and other wildlife that share her yard. Accordingly, I set out to see how many species I could tally from my back porch in an hour. The sun was up. Winds light. Temperatures in the mid-60s. A layer of cirrus clouds made the perfect backdrop for picking out birds in transit. Yes. I cheated. Counted birds flying over my yard as well as those foraging in the yard. Birds identified by their vocalizations were also counted. My total of 33 was low for late April. But it should be noted that most waterfowl are gone and most shorebirds and north-
bound songbirds have yet to arrive. Raptors were conspicuous by their absence. Migrants included a flock of double-crested cormorants and a pair of common loons in breeding plumage on a course that would put them over Lake Erie by nightfall. While non-breeding second-year loons are present in back bay waters all summer, this iconic waterbird does not breed in New Jersey. Also missed this morning was Carolina chickadee. While a common breeder, this hyperactive cavity-nesting bird was silent
and apparently disinterested in the mixed seed in our feeder. Thirty-three. I challenge you to beat it. Actually, what would delight me would be for every reader to step into their backyard and try an find 10 species. Ten! Laughing gull, cardinal, house finch, mockingbird, sparrow, blackbird, crow, wren, blue jay, dove. If you don’t have a backyard, head to Cape May Bird Observatory. You can see 10 species in 10 minutes and you can even get the store staff to identify them for you or you can go the extra mile and buy a field guide to the birds and identify them yourself. The alternative is to join me at South Cape May Meadows on Sunset Boulevard, 7:30am every Monday. Here you’ll hear and see 40-65 species. You supply the enthusiasm, Cape May provides the birds, CMBO’s cadre of naturalists provide the expertise. There aren’t too many places where you can see 65 species of birds in two hours time and one and a half miles of easy biped locomotion, but Cape May is one of them. See you Monday?
When you’re making your biggest commitment, we give you ours.
