An Introduction Welcome to the Regional Sessions of EYP Sweden 2018. This will be the second call for Presidents to our sessions since 2011, which we view with great excitement. This year the Regional Sessions will be held in the cities of Malmö, Stockholm and Östersund. Unfortunately, there will not be a western session held this year. We are now looking for motivated Presidents to take on these remarkable projects this November. As President, you will together with the Project Managers work actively to form a session-specific vision and theme. This year the Project Managers takes part in a new decentralisation project, which means that more independence will be promised to the Leadership of the respective session. Moreover, this years Regional Sessions holds the overarching theme ’’Culture and Diversity: The Heart of Sweden’’. This states a symbol for the different positions the different cities possess in the Swedish society. Malmö is known for it’s remarkable diversity, and as Sweden’s gate to Europe, it constitutes an important and beautiful symbol of the Heart of Sweden’s Diversity. Stockholm is the beating heart of all of Scandinavia, and with it’s veins consisting of top businesses, beautiful islands and history - it empowers the very heart of the Swedish culture. Östersund is a city we are extremely proud to welcome yet another Regional Session to. With Östersund being positioned in the very middle of Sweden, it becomes the centre of the winter from November to March. Its history reaching back to the 1700s, creates a remarkable and beautiful city - right in the Heart of Sweden. The rest is for you to compose. Practical information regarding the specific session can be found below. For general knowledge, it will be stated that all officials are expected to have arrived in Sweden by 12:00 CET on the first day of the session (the day indicated by brackets), in order to partake in CMO teambuilding and training.Each applicant will be informed of the outcome of the selection individually. The Selection Panel will be looking for energetic, engaged and ambitious applicants. EYP Sweden encourages first-timers to apply and emphasises that previous President-experience, although a merit, is not necessarily needed. There is no participation fee for officials. EYP Sweden will provide partial travel reimbursement to Presidents. The call closes on the 29th of July. Be sure to send in your application before 23.59 CET. EYP Sweden withholds the right to disregard any and all applications submitted past this deadline. As you will come to see, not all of the questions in the application form will have a word-limit. 8th Southern Regional Session of EYP Sweden A word from the Head Organisers ''Our experience in EYP has been enriching and we would like to give others the same opportunity and provide them with a platform where their voices can be heard. We want delegates to leave with a sense of motivation and inspiration to continue to be active citizens. We also want to raise awareness to and teach delegates about current issues regarding diversity, which we think is suitable for a diverse city like Malmö.’’ The session will be held in Malmö from the 8th of November for Officials to the 11th of November. Stockholm 2018 8th Eastern Regional Session of EYP Sweden A word from the Head Organisers "I want to create a smooth and streamlined session. By focusing on providing the necessities like food first, keeping potentially frustrating elements of the session like long transfers to a minimum and ensuring good communications within and between the officials teams the goal is to let all the participants focus on the unique and developing experiences previous sessions have provided me with." The session will be held in Stockholm from the 22nd of November for Officials to the 25th of November. The Application The application will be sent in through the members platform. Östersund 2018 6th Northern Regional Session of EYP Sweden A word from the Head Organisers ''EYP is a politically independent platform which encourages the discussion of practical politics, furthering solutions as opposed to pandering to a certain political stance like what a youth association may easily fall into. Practical solutions to actual problems are what develops and evolves in our world. We want to provide a wide range of youth as possible with the ability to discuss practical politics within the EYP which is why we stretch our grasp to the northernmost parts of Sweden where the political capital can, on occasion, seem very far away.'' The session will be held in Östersund from the 29th of November for Officials to the 2nd of December. The Application The application will be sent in through the members platform.
