CALL FOR ADDITIONAL COUNCIL MEMBERS In 2019, there are five EYP Councils in place: the Development Council, the Education, Outreach, & Inclusion Council, the Media & Communication Council, the Safe Core Team, and the Training & Member Development Council. Each of the Councils was given a mandate by the Governing Body and a set of deliverables that the groups are working on. For more information on the Council, please refer to the Member Platform page. Halfway through the Councils’ mandates, there are a few portfolios that we would like to seek fresh enthusiastic members to take on. Below, you will find an overview of what these are as well as instructions on how to apply.

Education, Outreach, and Inclusion Council EOIC is looking for a person to take over the portfolio of education who will focus on improving communication between education stakeholders and the network. The new member should cover these tasks: - Review NC websites in terms of content for teachers and provide feedback for NCs on how to improve their online profile. - Analyse teacher survey data from previous International Sessions and, based on the findings, create a guideline on the Teachers program for upcoming international sessions. If you have any questions in regard to these tasks or the work of the council in general, please feel free to contact Helga Dirlinger, the GB member for Education, Outreach and Inclusion at helga.dirlinger@inode.at or the chair of the EOIC, Stefan Hadzovic, at hadzovic.stefan@gmail.com.

Training and Member Development Council The TMDC is looking for a person to take over the portfolio on “Planning training events”. They would aim to improve the quality of organisation and content of training events throughout the network through for example developing materials to support NOCs with organising training events, collecting and publishing different formats of training events organised in the network, conceptualising how different target groups (E.g NCs, training teams) can work together to share best practices and lessons learnt from different training events. In case of questions, do not hesitate to contact the TMDC Chair Marta Sznajder at m.sznajder@eyppoland.com.

Safe Core Team We are calling for a member to take charge specifically of the communication/raising awareness side of the Safe Core Team’s mandate. As making the network aware of the recently created measures and the problems we work to

counter, as well as communicating those matters well across a diverse range of target groups, is indispensable to the success of our work, we are looking for a person who will be responsible for: ● creating accessible and visually appealing materials explaining policies, procedures, and measures created by the SCT; ● developing a communication strategy and coming up with new ideas on how to communicate our message to the network and instigate a change in the existing culture; ● helping with layout/visuals as needed; ● collaborating with the IO on developing communication guidelines outlining the adequate language with which to describe safety & welfare policies/measures in EYP. We look forward to welcoming a member who is committed to the SCT’s work and will take the role seriously. Due to the nature of the portfolio, graphic design/layout abilities would be preferred (please feel free to include a link to your previous visual work, if available) If you have any questions about the work of the SCT or the role specifically, please get in touch with the Chair, Weronika Betta at weronika.betta@gmail.com
