Malmö 2018

8th Southern Regional Session of EYP Sweden Session Theme: “Empowerment, personal development and respect towards diversity”

Editor: Levon Tadevosyan (AM) Dear All, I feel extremely honored and privileged to have the opportunity of editing Malmö 2018! Together with the leadership and the Board of EYP Sweden we going to do our best and make the session perfect and unforgettable for all of you! Join us in our amazing journey and lets make this session a fairytale! Editor’s Vision Content that the Media Team must work on is not only the casual EYP Media output which includes Pictures from the session, Video output and the session journals but also the projects which will help the delegates to understand their topics and get deeper knowledge about them. The media team must also work on creating interactive projects for the delegates which can include for example the basic training about the Photography, Photo Editing etc. And last but not least by implementing the theme of the session in media projects. I am planning to have a team of both quite experienced and inexperienced but motivated Journalists. Inexperienced but motivated Journalists will have the perfect opportunity to gain knowledge and develop themselves in the EYP Media and by that do their best to provide the high-quality media output. Those with high experience will have the opportunity and freedom to do all the crazy projects that they always wanted to do. This will give the experienced Journalists the opportunity and the platform for the personal development. As for the Editorial Assistant(s), they must be not only experienced enough to help and support the Journalists with their projects and with overall the session output, but also they be open and communicative so that the Journalists will not feel bad or shy while approaching them. The Editorial Assistants are also playing a crucial role in the decision making process. This means that the Decisions are not going to be made only by the Editor but they will be coordinated and communicated with the Editorial team as a leading body. I am looking for 6 Media Team Members and 2 Editorial Assistants.

Malmö 2018

8th Southern Regional Session of EYP Sweden Session Theme: “Empowerment, personal development and respect towards diversity”

Head of Jury: Alexander Dürr (SE) Dear all, Malmö 2018 takes place almost exactly two years after I attended my first regional session in EYP Sweden. I could not think of any better place to be for my second anniversary within EYP, than here. I am adamant and very eager to make the session significant for the jury team and to make it memorable to all its participants. Can’t wait to see you in Malmö! Head of Jury’s Vision As ambitious as it may see seem, my primary vision for the jury team is to find the future officials, board members and active members of EYP. Malmö 2018 - 8th Southern Regional Session of EYP Sweden will be the first EYP experience for a new generation of members. This will justify the fundamental work of the jury at Malmö 18, which will be focusing on potential, growth and development. The work of the jury will also consistently revolve around creating a safe and relaxed aura as well as the perception of the jury members by delegates. This will be an underlying detail that will be defining the structure of the jury’s work at Malmö 2018. From previous EYP experiences, as a delegate and official, I’ve time after time felt that the jury team is slightly excluded from other official teams. I intend to make this session different from my previous experiences, related to the seclusion of the jury team. Integration between the jury and remaining officials will be an important aspect that shall be achieved at Malmö 18. Ultimately, my fundamental vision for the delegates intertwines with the shaping of the jury team. I am looking for jurors that wish to be part of facilitating future members of the organizations, but also jurors that are enthusiastic and devoted to growing and development within their role as a juror. I am looking for 2 jury members.

Stockholm 2018 8th Eastern Regional Session of EYP Sweden Head of Jury: Solène Hababou (CH) Dear all, I am honoured and very excited to lead the Jury Team of Stockholm 2018, where a whole new generation of EYPers will make their first steps in our organisation. My own experience as an Official began at a Swedish Regional two years ago; I am thrilled to be able to come back and offer a similar opportunity to delegates. Have a look at my vision, and apply! See you in Stockholm, Head of Jury’s Vision I believe that the Jury have a special place at a session, particularly one where delegates will be experiencing each aspect of EYP for the first time. The focus on ”Discovering new perspectives”, through the overarching theme of ”Culture and Diversity: the Heart of Sweden”, perfectly fits a regional session and the beginning of one’s journey in EYP. Transparency will be an integral part of the Jury Team’s working process, with a particular emphasis on growth and openness. It will be the duty of the Jury to observe delegates navigate their new environment in all fairness, with the aim to not only evaluate and select them but to offer the opportunity for Jury talks throughout the session. With a transparent Jury Team, the delegates will know what is expected of them and how the selection process works, allowing them to enjoy their experience to the fullest whilst giving them the chance to grow and learn. The delegates will also have the possibility to ask the Jury team for a feedback at the end of the session, which I hope will be as helpful for them in an EYP context as, more generally, for their personal development. Personal growth has long been a focus of our organisation and I believe that delegates should be able to benefit from our observations, with a Jury Team that will foster an open and approachable attitude I am looking forward to working on a more elaborate vision for the Jury alongside my team, which will consist of two additional Jury members; look out for the call, and join me in Sweden for one of the most open, gratifying and cool Jury Team you could possibly experience! I am looking for 2 jury members.

Östersund 2018 6th Northern Regional Session of EYP Swede Session theme: Respect and tolerance at the heart of democratic culture

Editors: Mirjam Seiler (CH) & Nicolas Boivin (CH) Dear EYPers, We are very happy to welcome you to this call for media team members for the Regional Session of EYP Sweden, Östersund 2018! We are looking for 4 journalists and 1 editorial assistant (primarily for videos) to join the session. We are very excited to start this project and welcome you to our team. Editors’ Vision Positioned in the heart of Sweden, Östersund is a place of transition with deep historical roots and a rich culture. With Östersund 2018 EYP Sweden is exploring a city where there has never been a regional session before. In this spirit, this regional session provides a lot of new possibilities to explore and challenges all participants to be open to new things. Our vision, as the editors of the session, is to give everyone a platform to improve their personal skills and create a supportive environment in which participants have the freedom to explore their creativity and express themselves. We aim to create a media team that works and interacts closely with all officials and the delegates alike. With this in mind, we encourage creativity over perfection, allowing our media team to improve their competences and realise their ideas to the fullest, thereby defining the output of this session. We would like our team to discover a diverse range of media, to be able to portray the regional session of Östersund 2018 in all its uniqueness. If you are looking for an opportunity to gain experience in a media team and are ready to take on the challenge of working on a variety of media, apply to Östersund 2018! We are looking for 4 Media Team Members and 1 Editorial Assistant.

Östersund 2018 6th Northern Regional Session of EYP Swede

Head of Jury: Diogo Capelo (PT) Dear all, It is with great pleasure and excitement that I see your interest in joining the Jury Team of Östersund 2018! If you would like to join a session where you will be able to learn about or improve your jurying skills in a relaxed and welcoming (yet slightly cold) atmosphere, you have come to the right place. Good luck with writing that application! Head of Jury’s Vision In Östersund 2018, I am aiming to create a team of EYPers who feel that, to a certain extent, have disconnected themselves too much from the delegate experience. Furthermore, in line with the session vision, I want to focus on the personal development of my team members, giving them ownership of their own role at the session.
Firstly, I believe the Jury team should be the one most aware of what being a delegate is and how it feels. Many times, especially with more experienced EYPers, officials tend to forget what it means to be a delegate. In Östersund, I want to give the chance for the Jury members to take a step back and judge delegates from a more all-encompassing and empathetic angle. Jury members should not only be wary of the academic quality or proactiveness of delegates but they should also bare in mind group dynamics, different types of delegates and the overwhelming experience that EYP is for first time delegates.I wish to build a team which can put themselves in delegates’ shoes, whilst keeping enough of a distance to properly evaluate and judge delegates. I believe this approach should let my Jury team select not only the best delegates, but those who will be the most apt to represent EYP Sweden and to further the project in the future. On the other hand, I wish to focus on the personal development of my Jury team. In this sense, I wish to provide my team with the chance to create and explore, with a focus on “learning by doing”. In order to implement this, I want to implement the vision in the jury team by providing them with the chance to discuss and suggest amendments to the selection criteria of the jury team. I believe that this endeavour will not only result in the best jury booklet possible, but will also allow jury members to leave their impact in the session and on EYP Sweden, while also paving the way for them to better their understanding of the Jury’s work. If you identify yourself with this vision, and if you want to develop yourself in a cool and relaxed atmosphere, write that application and join me in Sweden! I am looking for 2 jury members.
