40 Years of Faithfulness
The Christian life is a life of consistent obedience. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. By God’s grace and in the power of the Holy Spirit, we are striving to become more like Jesus. And we can be confident, knowing that “he who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.” Philippians 1:6.
At Faith Radio, we want to help our listeners “press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14. For forty years, Faith Radio has sought to honor God and serve the church by being faithful to its mission “ to serve the Christian Community and strengthen the local church and family unit as we provide spiritual encouragement and a personal challenge with a Christ centered focus, through Biblical teaching, relevant information and uplifting music to the Glory of God.”
As we have sought to be faithful, God has been faithful to us. We have been blessed by listeners who partner with us in prayer and support our ministry work. We thank you for your support and look forward to another forty years of ministry.

Voices of Faith Radio
“We can face whatever circumstances await us with courage if we just reflect on God’s faithfulness and place our confidence in His great power and loving purpose for our lives.”
- David Jeremiah
“Faith is the confident, continuous confession of total dependence on and trust in Jesus Christ for the necessary requirements to enter God’s Kingdom. It involves more than mere intellectual assent to the truth of the gospel; saving faith includes trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and surrender to His lordship.”
- John MacArthur
“Faith isn’t the ability to believe long and far into the misty future. It’s simply taking God at His Word and taking the next step.”
- Joni Eareckson Tada
“God always has and always will look for men and women who say to Him, ‘I trust you so much, I’m all in. I want your way not mine. I am willing to live by faith!’”
- Chip Ingram
“If we could see our lives from God’s perspective, many of us would be forced to admit that our lives are cluttered with all sorts of things that keep us from moving forward and receiving the abundant life he promises. We need to simplify our lives, eliminating the things that bog us down and keep us from doing what God says are priorities.”
- Randy Carlson

a letter from the Board President Mark
Williams
2024 marks the 40th year of operation of Faith Radio. In 1984, in a trailer behind Frazer Church, a Christian radio station was launched with a license to broadcast from the FCC. In 1989, the FCC gave WLBF the right to broadcast at 100,000 watts of power. The commitment of the initial Board of Directors was to provide Christian broadcasting with no commercials. The decision to operate commercial-free required that the Montgomery Christian community respond with financial commitments. They did respond and the station was eventually able to purchase property in Montgomery where the present-day headquarters resides.
Those early financial commitments allowed the Board to hire a station manager and Bob Crittenden, who currently hosts The Meeting House each weekday afternoon. In the 40 years it has existed, Faith Radio has experienced remarkable growth. Full-powered stations have been added in Andalusia and Dothan and numerous translator stations have been added to allow the broadcast signal to reach further north and east. What started as a small local station has grown to reach much of Alabama and into southwest Georgia and northwest Florida.
Despite the coverage growth and the addition of several new staff members over the last 40 years, the ministry focus of Faith Radio has remained the same. We have remained committed to providing high-quality, commercial-free, allChristian broadcasting that ministers to our listeners.
We are thankful to you, our listeners, for making it possible to broadcast without the clutter of commercials and on-air fundraisers. It is because of your generosity that we are able to broadcast the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ without interruption. Most of all, we are thankful to the Father for using this network to eternally change so many lives.

GOD’S GOLD NUGGET
by Billy Irvin, Director of Ministry Relations
For 40 years, Mike and Donna Wells have listened to and supported the ministry of Faith Radio. While traveling in their car or getting ready for work, the Wells would find themselves tuning in whenever possible. The Wells shared, “Faith Radio has been instrumental in growing our faith. In 1984, when searching for a good Christian radio station, we found Faith Radio. It was a bonus that there were no commercials!”
In February 2000, Donna was running a quick errand for work. When she turned on WLBF to catch a few minutes of Tony Evans, God dropped a gold nugget in her lap! Tony’s message challenged Donna to begin praying and fasting specifically for her daughter’s future husband. As she fasted and prayed, her daughter journaled all of the things that God was doing in her life. In the Lord’s faithfulness, He provided a godly husband for their daughter in less than 2 years, and today their marriage has produced a fruitful faith family.
Mike and Donna continue to support the ministry of Faith Radio. Mike serves in ministry as the pastor of LifeSpring Church in Dadeville, Alabama. They shared, “You don’t have to be sitting by a radio all day to benefit from this ministry. Tune in when you can — God is waiting with a Word for you!” Our ministry is broadcasting God’s truth all day, every day, and we want to encourage you to be listening for God’s gold nugget!

We always enjoy being part of other church events, like mission conferences, and celebrating ministry work locally and around the world. In February, we were blessed to be part of the great mission conference at Frazer Church.
We were so thankful for the opportunity to share Jesus at the Andalusia Christmas Lights Drive Through with a manger light display and a cross.
Our community was thankful for the Live Nativity at Haven Memory Care on Halcyon and the many people blessed to celebrate the birth of Jesus with live animals.

We were invited to Billingsley, Alabama, to update the faithful members at Indian Grave Baptist Church about our ministry and encourage their hearts about the birth of Jesus.
The annual FCA Prayer Breakfast was a blessing to our community and the football players of the bowl game, as John Gibbons gave us an update about how God is at work through their ministry.
During our Christmas cross distribution, we were so blessed to see listeners all throughout our coverage areas, including Sylacauga and Dothan!

A COMPANY KEEPER
by Billy Irvin, Director of Ministry Relations
In 1987, Annie Gibson and her family moved to Union Springs from Miami and were blessed to find Faith Radio/WLBF. She has enjoyed listening and supporting the ministry of Faith Radio for almost 40 years. Annie loves the Lord Jesus and testifies that she has navigated much of her life with Faith Radio, which she refers to as her company keeper. She needed company the most when she grieved the passing of her husband in 2019, the loss of her son during the pandemic, and a journey with cancer treatments last year. “I go to bed listening to Faith Radio, and I wake up listening. I never miss a day of listening to WLBF! When I am by myself, I’d feel so alone if it weren’t for my radio. Faith Radio is my company keeper. This ministry has blessed my life and has become part of my family.”
Annie is a precious Christian lady with a faith-filled family. We were blessed to visit with her recently on her 85th birthday and deliver a Christmas cross for her yard. Annie shared, “I love my cross! I live on a busy highway, and people I don’t even know are touched every day by this cross. It brings me joy when people ask me about my cross, and it gives me an opportunity to tell the story of Jesus.” Annie’s countenance is uplifted by tuning into Faith Radio daily. She wants to use all that she has to shine for Jesus. Annie said, “I love supporting this ministry, and I’m grateful for all the others that financially support Faith Radio so that I can continue listening.”

RIDING WITH CHRIST
In the mid-1980s, David Farnsworth was living in Prattville and discovered a new Christian radio station, WLBF/Faith Radio. He was instantly drawn to the words and music he heard and appreciated how this radio station helped keep him focused on thanking and praising God each day. David spent his career working with farmers and being an advocate for agriculture, which is the largest industry in Alabama. As he spent his days traveling to meet with farmers, he would tune in to Faith Radio’s broadcast. David shared, “I love listening to great Christian teaching, encouraging music and learning about our nation and world events from a Christian viewpoint.”
David’s career took his family on a move out-of-state for a few years. When they settled in Sylacauga in the early 2000s, David was pleased to be back in the listening area of Faith Radio. “Faith Radio helps me strive to walk with Christ all the time. Listening to Faith Radio-WLBF while riding in my vehicle has blessed my walk with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I also appreciate the Faith Radio staff who write me notes saying they are praying for my family.” In addition to being an avid listener of WLBF, David was instrumental in helping us distribute Christmas Crosses last year in Sylacauga. He is a faithful listener, partner, and volunteer with this ministry. Like David, you, too, can tune in to WLBF in your car to take a ride with Christ! Additionally, let us know if you would like us to pray for you and your family - we have a very vibrant and active prayer ministry!

GIFTS OF GRATITUDE
by Billy Irvin, Director of Ministry Relations
For the past 40 years, Faith Radio has been resurrecting, reviving, and restoring lives. In four decades, we have come alongside thousands of individuals to help them have more than an explanation of Jesus Christ, but an experience with Jesus Christ. What a gift it is to join the Lord at work!
Has Faith Radio touched your life in the last 40 years? We are so grateful to the Lord for His constant vision and provision, and we invite you to help us celebrate 40 years of God’s faithfulness with a gift of gratitude to Him. Your gifts will help our ministry continue to share the good news of Jesus Christ that our world so desperately needs. Will you help us continue to come alongside those perishing in the darkness and share the light of the Resurrection? Your gifts today will make an impact on the next generation!
Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.
