In 1741, George Frideric Handel completed arguably his best known work, The Messiah. Parts of that work, particularly the Hallelujah Chorus, will ring out throughout churches and concert halls this Christmas season like every other for years before it. The work allows the singing of the beautiful messianic prophecy from Isaiah 9:6 (KJV):
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given . . . and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
It ends with the repeated refrain from Revelation 11:15: “and He shall reign for ever and ever.“
Throughout this Christmas season, may we be constantly reminded of, and focused on, the glorious truth that the Mighty God who is the King of Glory condescended to earth to become a child to sacrifice himself for our redemption. And that King will reign forever and is worthy of all honor and praise. Like Handel, who ended his manuscript “SDG,” for soli deo Gloria, to God alone the glory, may we seek to give Him the glory He is due.

“We tend to focus our attention at Christmas on the infancy of Christ. The greater truth of the holiday is His deity. More astonishing than a baby in the manger is the truth that this promised baby is the omnipotent Creator of the heavens and the earth!”
- John MacArthur
“Christmas is all about surrender. It’s all about the surrender of the Son to obey the perfect will of the Father and enter human history.”
- Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth
“Because the birth of Christ changes everything. It changed the world, and it can change you. He can bring you joy in a world void of joy, hope in hopeless times, and peace in an uncertain world.”
- David Jeremiah
“Christians should aim to live peaceably with everyone—believers and unbelievers alike—but not at the expense of the integrity of biblical doctrine. We must exercise extreme caution because some calls for unity will tug at our emotions yet have no biblical basis.”
-
Jack Hibbs
“Remember, living for Him may cost us something but dying for us cost Him everything.”
- Gary Hamrick
“This is the only time in history when I get to fight for God. This is the only part of my eternal story when I am actually in the battle. Once I die, I’ll be in celebration mode in a glorified body in a whole different set of circumstances. But this is my limited window of opportunity, and I’m going to fight the good fight for all I’m worth.”

OUR GLOBAL REACH
By Billy Irvin, Director of Ministry Relations
If you listen to Faith Radio, then you have probably heard us share this slogan about our ministry: “Global Reach with a Personal Touch.”
In April, we celebrated 40 years of ministry, and we give God the glory for how He has profoundly blessed our radio ministry. He has extended the reach of the station far beyond the local communities served by our FM network of stations. Through the power of live streaming, we have connected with listeners across the globe. With some of our new technical upgrades, we have been able to see graphical radars of our online audience reach. While we wish we could measure our large FM radio audience, we are blessed to dial into these graphs above. We wanted to share these with you as we give God the glory for providing listeners from different countries to engage with our programming as they grow their faith in Jesus. These graphs demonstrate the power of technology as a tool for evangelism, allowing us to spread the Gospel message across oceans and borders to those who may feel isolated or disenfranchised. Notice there are days our online audience exceeds 800 listeners.
You may notice we have a number of listeners in Haiti and other countries. Some of our listeners have shared with us they invited and showed others while on missions trips to these countries to download our app and use this tool to help them grow their faith!
As we continue to share the truth of God’s Word, we remain committed to seeking God’s guidance, trusting that He will lead us to further opportunities to inspire and uplift through our radio ministry by reaching hearts across the globe with His love and truth. Thank you for praying for us and supporting our ministry.
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
by Billy Irvin, Director of Ministry Relations
A great encouragement to our hearts and the hearts of our listeners is when you share your story of how God has used our ministry to touch your life. We are thankful to those who write, text, call and even leave a short sentence or two on our comment line: (334) 271-8988.
Let these comments bless you today:
As a new Christian, I really enjoy your radio station. Also as an Uber driver, I love the variety throughout the day with different topics and messages.
How very much I appreciate you! Your programs of teachers, and music is the life blood! Of course I have church friends and a small study prayer group, but I have you all hours!
Lately this ministry has been so vivid to me. I don’t always succeed, but thank God that tonight I did as I listen to the lyric, “What can wash away my sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus!!” God is using Faith Radio in a powerful way in my life, and I’m sure in so many other people as well. Heaven will tell the whole story, but this one is beyond grateful for God’s work through Faith Radio to me.
Thank you for your loyalty and obedience to our great God; for the raging fire that burns within every one of you & for glorifying Him. What a ministry! You are a big part of my life. You go where I, and many, can’t go and do what I, and many, can’t do. Every day I lift you up in prayer and thank God for you!
We encourage you to share as we give God the glory for what He continues to do through our ministry. It’s a real bonus to all of us if you call our comment line and leave your message at (334) 271-8988.

It was a joyous occasion at the 32nd annual SavA-Life Banquet in Andalusia. The Family Hope Center of Covington County is performing tremendous ministry work, and we had much to celebrate as we gave God the glory while sharing with many of our listeners!
For many decades, Faith Radio has been blessed to be part of the State Combined Campaign. We always enjoy when their group of state employees from Alabama visit our offices and share how Faith Radio touches thousands of lives in our state each day.
We have a valued ministry partner, 4VEH, in Haiti that does outstanding Christian radio ministry! We were blessed when they stopped by our studios recently so that we could encourage one another and pray for one another as we asked God to provide for our needs!
During our 40th year of ministry, we also had our 25th year of the Faith Radio Golf Tournament. It was a great time for all, and we were blessed and encouraged to spend the day celebrating what God is doing through our ministry!

Christmas Crosses
Monday, November 18, 2024 • 7 am - 6 pm
Faith Radio Studios, 381 Mendel Parkway, Montgomery, AL
Reserve your Cross: FaithRadio.org or scan this QR Code
For more than a decade, Faith Radio has been building and distributing 7-foot Christmas Crosses to the community. These crosses not only enhance your holiday décor, but more importantly, serve as a powerful testament to the message of Jesus, inviting others to share in the joy of the season. While these 7-foot crosses come built on a stand, you can choose to add your lights and paint or stain the cross. Some people leave them out year-round, while others utilize them at both Christmas and Easter. Many people have told us how the cross displayed in their yard not only puts their focus on Jesus, but it is a conversation starter with their family and neighbors about the love of Christ dying on the cross for our sins. These crosses can be picked up at our studios on Monday, November 18th. Since they are 7-feet tall, a truck is best; however, a van or SUV with all the back seats down will also work. Faith Radio distributes these crosses courtesy of a donor who only asks that recipients make a generous donation to our ministry in exchange for a cross. Our donor tells us the materials to make the cross cost over $50 each. website.
EMBRACING OUR REIGNING SAVIOR Meeting House guests promote spiritual growth during Christmas season
by Bob Crittenden, host of The Meeting House
The Advent season presents a unique opportunity to grow closer to Christ. While we should be growing spiritually throughout the year, this season brings a special opportunity to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us and to reveal more about our Savior. Faith Radio publishes an Advent Guide year after year in our Ministry Magazine as a resource that can bring a greater awareness of who Jesus is and what He has done for us. Through the symbols that fill this year’s Advent Guide, we can consider as individuals and families what the coming of Jesus to earth represents. We strongly encourage you to use the Advent Guide as a personal or family devotional during this Christmas season.
Particularly for those with children, an Advent devotion is a great way to study the Word together. Families gathering together and discussing matters of the faith can certainly help reinforce the truth of God’s Word while building incredible memories at Christmas. In addition to Faith Radio’s Advent Guide, there are numerous other solid resources that families can read at Christmas to help keep their family focused on Christ. Back in 2022 at the Christian Product Expo in Charlotte, I met two Alabama authors, Anna Nash and Katy Shelton, who had written a devotional book centered around the meaning of Easter, called, Easter Matters: A Devotional - How the Resurrection of Jesus Changes You. Prior to that time, they had written an Advent book intended to help readers learn more about
Jesus. The book was titled Christmas Matters: How the Birth of Jesus Makes a Difference Every Day, which is a journey through the book of Luke. The book parallels the 24 chapters of Luke with the 25 days leading to Christmas, helping the reader focus on the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
Another Christmas resource for families is Liz Pitman’s Pete and Pal’s Christmas Surprise! This is a follow-up to her earlier book, Where is the Missing Puzzle Piece, which traces the journey of a puzzle piece named Pete, attempting to find where he fits into God’s plan. In the Christmas-themed work, Pete continues his adventure of finding that he is God’s special masterpiece.
Whatever resource you choose, select something that draws you into God’s Word and helps you stay focused on Christ this Christmas season. We can be sensitive to the leadership of God’s Spirit as He works in our individual lives and in the hearts of those around us.
gifts in memory and in honor of...
A memorial gift is a meaningful way to honor someone at the time of death by recognizing that person’s Christian faith and testimony. Similarly, an honorarium is a tangible way of honoring a living person’s testimony. We are thankful for individuals listed below who choose to honor friends and loved ones through a gift that extends the message of Christ through Faith Radio’s ministry.

KEEP HIM FIRST
by Billy Irvin, Director of Ministry Relations
Jesus! There is something so very special about that name. As we head into the Christmas season when there is so much celebration around us, let us never forget to keep Him first in all that we do. Let’s also remember the lyrics from a great song by Bill Gaither, “Kings and kingdoms will all pass away.” As we worship and as we give, let’s invest our time and money into what will reign forever: Jesus! The Bible tells us to lay up your treasures in Heaven, and one way we do that is by investing in ministries that are helping people go there. Will you help us during this important season? A gift to Faith Radio makes an eternal impact as we encourage other believers and lift up the name of Jesus. We want to finish our year strong with our finances as we boldly celebrate the forever reigning Jesus Christ!
