GOD NEVER CHANGES

HE IS WITH US IN THE SEASONS OF LIFE

Montgomery WLBF, Andalusia WSTF and Dothan WDYF

After a brutally hot summer in the South, who doesn’t look forward to a change in season to cooler fall weather?

The cycles of the seasons year after year are a continual reminder that life does not stay the same. Like the vibrancy of spring, there are times of newness and rebirth. But like the bitter cold of winter, there are times of darkness and sorrow. Through each of these seasons, whether of nature or of life, there is an overriding constanta God who is in control, working all things together for our good and His glory.

Hebrews 13:8 tells us that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Because of this constant, we can face each season of life with confidence, trusting in the sovereignty of a good God who loves us. We can also face the changing whims of the culture with bold reliance on His Word, which never changes.

“The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.”

Voices of Faith Radio

“God uses chronic pain and weakness, along with other afflictions, as his chisel for sculpting our lives. Felt weakness deepens dependency on Christ for strength each day. The weaker we feel, the harder we lean. And the harder we lean, the stronger we grow spiritually, even while our bodies waste away.”

“Hopeless situations are never hopeless to God.”

“The fact that what we believe about marriage - that it should be between a man and a woman - and that we’re pro-life, somehow that becomes radical? Why is that? It’s because our culture has changed. But the truth is, culture may change, people change, but the Word of God never changes, and that’s what we rest our belief system on.”

“Those who seek to control their own lives will inevitably be frustrated. A confident trust in God’s providence is foundational to contentment.”

- John MacAuthor

“We also need to recognize that God may have other plans in store for us, and we must be willing to accept that.”

- Greg Laurie

“We want God to fix all our problems. God says instead, “I have a purpose for your problems. I want to use your problems to change you and to reveal My grace and power to the world.” That is the Truth – and the Truth will set you free.”

- Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

FAITH RADIO WELCOMES JACK HIBBS TO WEEKDAY PROGRAMMING LINEUP

Real Life Radio with Jack Hibbs airs at 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday

Faith Radio is devoted to bringing you a quality programming lineup, with a combination of sound Bible teaching and uplifting music, so that you can be encouraged in your walk with Christ. This ministry undertakes an extensive process of considering and selecting our teaching programs, searching for the absolute best, in order to be a trusted source of Biblical truth.

Recently, Faith Radio launched a new program to our lineup at 3:30 p.m. weekday afternoons: Real Life Radio with Jack Hibbs. Pastor Jack is Founder and Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in Southern California, which began in 1990 as a church plant from Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.

The church has grown to reach over 14,000 people inperson and an estimated audience of millions around the world through Real Life radio and television programs. He and his wife, Lisa, have been married for over 40 years.

The ministry focus is described in this way:

Real Life with Jack Hibbs is dedicated to proclaiming truth. Standing boldly in opposition to false doctrines designed to distort the Word of God and the character of Christ, Jack’s voice challenges today’s generation to both understand and practice what it means to have a biblical worldview.

We invite you to tune in weekday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. to Faith Radio for Real Life Radio with Jack Hibbs.

THANK YOU, RUSSELL DEAN

In May, long-time Faith Radio General Manager Russell Dean retired from the broadcasting ministry. Dean began his term with Faith Radio in 2005. In addition to his duties as General Manager, Russell Dean hosted the nighttime music program “Evening Praise.”

Faith Radio Board President Mark Williams remarked: “Russell’s time of service to this ministry was marked by growth in our broadcasting footprint. We are now in south and central Alabama, west Georgia and the panhandle of Florida. He played a significant role in making that happen. But more importantly, he maintained a steady approach in his managerial role. We will miss him.”

WYNLAKES GOLF & COUNTRY

The Faith Radio Golf Tournament is vitally important to our ministry work, and we invite you to be a sponsor! Your sponsorship will get double the impact because we have two tournaments that day, both morning and afternoon. Your gifts support our ministry, but also allows participants to enjoy fun, food and fellowship while receiving a bag full of encouragement to follow Jesus. This year’s event is extra special as we celebrate 25 years of our fundraising tournament. Will you help us? Would you consider being a sponsor? For more information or for a brochure: faithradio.org or call us 800-239-8900.

faces

Faith Radio works as an encouraging and faithful friend to uplift pastors in our community. Our daily commitment involves fervent prayers for churches and pastors, while also cherishing moments of fellowship with these spiritual leaders. In addition to praying for your pastor, we encourage you to think of creative ways to show love and appreciation to your pastor and church staff.

The National Day of Prayer is an important day in our country and at Faith Radio. We were honored to emcee a community prayer event put on by His Vessel Ministries in the River Region. Additionally, we had dozens of Pastors and prayer leaders praying over the airwaves throughout this special day of prayer.

We encourage, promote, and participate in many prayer events in our community. Our nation and cities must continue to pray and gather so that we can fight our spiritual battles through prayer and calling out to God for help. He is where our help comes from!

Among the many events and places we have been in the last few months, we were thankful to help sponsor an Alabama Legislative Prayer Breakfast, enjoy lunch with faithful friends at the Andalusia airport, and visit and pray with dedicated listeners throughout our listening areas.

GOD NEVER CHANGES

In a world full of constant and often unexpected change, we can stand on the truth that God never changes! We face changes every day - from life’s unexpected changes to natural changes as a result of aging, many of these shifts can hit us hard. Even the enclosed football schedule reflects many modifications - coaches, schedules, and rules - they change! We hear from you, our listeners, each day about the changes you experience in life, and how our ministry helps you biblically navigate life situations such as: an unexpected health diagnosis, relationship struggles, marriage issues, job changes, and more.

We often must remind ourselves that God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Because He is unchanging, He is trustworthy and faithful, and nothing that we experience takes Him by surprise! We can always trust Him. Even when those gut-punching circumstances of life hit us, we need to be reminded of the truths from God’s Word. We are strengthened by Psalm 121:3-4 “He will not let your foot slipHe who watches over you will not slumber; God is unchanging, He never waivers, He is never asleep!” God uses our ministry’s music and programs to remind the world that He is where our help comes from. God’s faithfulness remains constant. We can learn from these programmers heard daily on Faith Radio.

David Jeremiah, Turning Point: & Change is not always easy, but it is always possible with God’s strength and guidance.

& Change can be a catalyst for growth and transformation if we embrace it with trust and faith in God.

& Change is an opportunity for us to rely on God’s wisdom and guidance, trusting that He has a purpose in every season.

Max Lucado, Upwords:

& Rather than ask God to change your circumstances, ask Him to use your circumstances to change you.

& Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the One who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference.

Chuck Swindoll, Insight for Living:

& The world has changed and it’s going to keep changing, but God never changes; so we are safe when we cling to Him.

& Retreating to the safety of the familiar is an understandable response, but God has called us to a life of faith. And faith requires us to face the unknown while trusting Him completely. I’m here today to warn you: I want you to watch out for the adversary.

We have learned over the years that an unexpected change in life can be

“I THE LORD DO NOT CHANGE”-
“We must never limit God’s ability to turn even the worst, most vile experience in our lives into something productive, beneficial and positive.”
Charles Stanley

a great blessing to help us realign our life to God’s priorities. Many of our listeners and program guests have testified how God used an unexpected life change to make them lay down and experience His provision and love in green pastures, while reprioritizing the things that are truly important in their life. As shared on a recent program, “God uses the seasons of change in our lives to refine us, shape us, and draw us closer to Him.”

As we talk about changes, we should have great confidence in the characteristics of God:

& His unchanging holiness from Isaiah 6:3 - “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty.”

& His unchanging mercies each and every day as shared in Lamentations 3:23 - “Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.”

& His unchanging love for sinners

as shared in Romans 5:8 - “God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Of all the changes that we experience, we remind our listeners numerous times each day that God’s way of salvation has not changed. The message of Jesus’s sinless life, His sacrificial death and His victorious resurrection has transformed lives in the past and will continue tomorrow and the days ahead! Jesus is the only one that provides forgiveness of our sin and eternal life in Heaven.

One of the greatest joys we experience at Faith Radio is when a listener finds Jesus through our radio broadcast, and their life changes eternally. We pray that your devotion to our unchanging God will never waiver and will grow stronger as we continue to point people to Him in all we do.

RAPID CHANGES PRODUCE STEADFAST FAITH

The Meeting House Guests Stand Strong in Adversity

It has been pointed out over and over again that we are living in a culture that is now turned upside down, but not in a good way. Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV) says, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil…” This is the change that we are facing in our nation, and the Church is called and empowered to work to reverse the direction through the power of the gospel.

There are inspiring individuals who have been involved in standing against hostility, their freedom to express themselves in peril, amidst attempts to communicate a message that does not comport with their Christian convictions.

Jack Phillips is such a man. For over a decade, he has faced opposition for refusing to use his creative talents to provide a cake for a gay wedding. He won his case at the U.S. Supreme Court in 2018, but later had someone else request a cake to celebrate an LGBT “gender reveal.” He has continued to stand firm in the face of adversity.

Cake artist Jack Phillips and Alliance Defending Freedom President Kristen Waggoner discussed challenges to his religious freedom.

His latest case comes after fellow Colorado business owner Lorie Smith received a positive ruling from the Court last year. The Supreme Court decided that creative professionals should not be forced to communicate messages that violate their deeply held beliefs.

The high court, in 2022, also ruled in favor of a former football coach in Washington state who had devoted himself for years to pray at midfield after games. He had lost his job due to his expression of faith, but Coach Joe Kennedy was exonerated at the U.S. Supreme Court, in a critical decision regarding religious freedom.

Former football coach in Bremerton, Washington, Joe Kennedy, discussed his devotion to praying following football games and the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in his favor.

These individuals have all been guests on The Meeting House program. Their boldness to stand steadfast in the Lord in the midst of adversity in their lives can be an example to us to rely on the strength and wisdom that God makes available to us through His Word.

football schedules

Each year we distribute thousands of Auburn/Alabama football schedules as a way of opening the door to share Jesus with others.

We have heard from many of you how this little, but useful, football schedule has opened up the door for a life-changing conversation with someone in your life. From family members and neighbors to coworkers and rivals, many will talk with you about football over the next few weeks. We encourage you to use this opportunity to shift the conversation from football to faith. Please start with prayer, and ask God to go before you to give you opportunities to plant Kingdom seeds. Oftentimes when you hand out this schedule, the receiver will respond with excitement. You can always add to their excitement by saying, “the important information is on the inside.” Encourage them to read it, or better yet, walk them through it.

If you need help with sharing, we have added helpful phone numbers to these schedules, and even a QR code that someone can scan with their phone. This will connect them to chat/text with someone about Jesus! Will you cut this out below and share it with someone special? Contact us if you would like some extra schedules to share!

Cut below and fold in half for your pocket football schedule.

state and federal employee giving

We are thankful for each person, church, and business that supports our ministry. There are many ways to help us share the love of Jesus with others. We also encourage you to participate in your campaigns and remember Faith Broadcasting as you select your charity. Here are our numbers for your charity giving.

gifts in memory and in honor of...

A memorial gift is a meaningful way to honor someone at the time of death by recognizing that person’s Christian faith and testimony. Similarly, an honorarium is a tangible way of honoring a living person’s testimony. We are thankful for individuals listed below who choose to honor friends and loved ones through a gift that extends the message of Christ through Faith Radio’s ministry.

CULTURE CHANGE BY GENEROSITY

Are you a generous person? How can you cultivate a culture change by being generous? Generosity flows out of a heart that treasures the Lord above all else. God has given us much so that we can give more, share more, and do more. Your generosity to Faith Radio not only fuels us financially but allows you to invest in seeing lives changed.

We learn from listening to our programmers about cultivating a spirit of generosity. Chip Ingram, heard on Living on the Edge, shared, “The Bible teaches that the wisest thing we can do with our resources is to learn to invest them in His Kingdom; and that becoming a generous person is the smartest way to prepare for an eternal future.” We want to encourage you to enjoy God’s generosity to you then share it with others!
