Restore/Preserve an existing building in Arsenale and rehabilitate it to accommodate the Ezra Pound Foundation, which consisted of a public library, an observation tower, and exhibitions, in addition to admin and archive sections. Our design was inspired in some parts by the Pagoda, due to the effect that the Chinese literature had on Ezra pound, and the tower was inspired by the time Ezra was living in Paris. While the long period he lived in a jail cell had a very strong influence on the material selection and the overall atmosphere.
