Style is character and effortlessness

Tell us about the new Spring/Summer collection.

I looked for inspiration in Italy’s secluded private gardens.

Their fine geometry makes them resemble labyrinths. The clothes are decorated with large pockets and snap closures, and the palette ranges from emerald green to citrus yellow shades.

Your footwear collections are casual and yet very elegant. In your opinion, can loafers look more feminine than high-heeled shoes?

It all depends on how you wear them! Speaking about Tod’s, I just saw their legendary Gommino loafers in a new light and made them more feminine. They are suitable for any occasion.

Our loafers with a rhinestone-adorned brooch at the front have an incredibly elegant look and provide a great contrast 10

to classic materials. The summer espadrilles have changed as well: they have dotted soles that are actually precisely what we refer to as ‘gommino’.

Which women inspired you as a child?

I used to be a fan of Diana Vreeland (Chief Editor of American Vogue in 1962-1972 – editor’s note) because of her eccentricity. Today I admire Julianne Moore. She is always so natural and elegant.

What was your dream job when you were a teenager and what brought you to the fashion industry?

I wanted to be a sculptor or an architect but ended up enrolling

Your job involves a lot of travelling.

Where have you seen the most stylish women, not counting Italy and France?

Actually I don’t think there are cities or countries whose women are a priori more stylish than any other. Style is behaviour, character and that effortlessness with which a woman wears her clothes.

What is your regular working day like?

I spend it in the studio working on sketches with my team of designers. We exchange ideas all the time. There is no strict hierarchy, just a shared creative process.

How do you manage to guess what kind of accessories will meet the needs of today’s woman? What’s the secret of Tod’s?

Everything I’ve created for Tod’s is, first of all, meant to reflect the essence of the brand itself. It’s why millions of customers around the globe know us, love us, and stand by us. And I simply try to add a little more femininity to this essence without distorting the brand image.

Name two things that are a must-have in a woman’s wardrobe this spring.

Biker boots and a shirt made of very soft perforated leather.

What clothing item is always present in your wardrobe regardless of current trends?

A white shirt.

If every day had a couple more hours in it than it does now, what would you use them for?

I would keep working and try to accomplish more than before. My job is my true passion.

Your blog is becoming more and more popular. What is your secret for combining blogging, travel, studying and a relationship?

I guess the secret to each one of them, which brings them all together, is simply passion. I'm extremely passionate about every single thing I do and they all work together when love's the key ingredient.

How would you define your style? How do you do like to dress?

Extremely versatile. I easily go from sexy to masculine and that feels natural to me because it reflects my personality.

What do you think are this summer season’s must-haves?

I like being light in summer and I obviously wouldn't wear anything that feels too heavy. Silky dresses, high-

waisted shorts and anything in linen are my must-haves.

Are you particularly inspired by anyone or anything when creating your looks?

I’m usually inspired by the unknown women I see in old street photography like Vivian Maier's or Bresson's.

What do you like about Milan? What are your favourite places for shopping and beauty?

I love Milan because it's a mix of different ccultures, it feels Italian but very international as well. I love the vintage markets in Navigli and the perfume shops in Brera. I could also spend days at the Corso Como 10 concept store because it pretty much sums up all my passions, from photography and exhibitions to fashion and home decor.

Don't sacrifice comfort to keep up with trends. Always be yourself.

Where’s the best shopping in Milan? What would you recommend to our readers?

There are quite a few vintage shops in Milan that I really love visiting when I have a chance, like Cavalli e Nastri and Jacassi. I prefer vintage shops to boutiques because you can find unique pieces.

What are your favourite destinations for a weekend outside Milan?

I'm from Naples, so when we have a free weekend, we go back home. I guess when your own hometown offers you sea, sunshine and amazing food, you don't need any other holiday spot!

Free spirit The huge social and cultural revolution of the 70s redefined fashion in a big way, particularly when it came to the role of women. For the first time designers took their inspiration straight from the streets, subverting the classical canons of style and reinvigorating the entire fashion industry. These were the years of hippies, freedom and love, when fashion exploded with psychedelic colours, floral prints and flared trousers.

And it’s exactly this spirit that has inspired the major trend of the season, with today’s designers bringing back the decade of free love in a big way. This season’s proposals saw floating voile or chiffon silhouettes and floor-length skirts emblazoned with all-over prints or fine embroidery, all teamed with high wedges or flat sandals. Suede was the material of choice for everything from jackets to boots, even appearing in iconic 70s fringes swinging nonchalantly from shrugged-on shoulder bags. Karl Lagerfeld’s collection for the Chanel catwalk was particularly evocative, as he armed slogan-chanting models with placards and megaphones in a feminist protest that could have come straight from the era of revolution.

They say in fashion everything comes back around eventually. This summer there’s only one question on everyone’s lips: are you ready for the seventies?

La Dolce Vita was the Italian way of life and the emblem of an era: the streets of Rome, the American stars, the excesses.

These were the years of high fashion, ostentatious style, the economic good times following the Second World War; a wave of change, in politics, art and costume.

The movie 'La Dolce Vita', by Federico Fellini, tells a story of a slice of Italy, and the scene featuring Anita Ekberg in the Trevi fountain in Rome immediately and forever became a symbol of an epoch. Rome at this point in history was not only the capital of cinema, but also of fashion, which was fundamental to the development of the identity of Italian style and its freedom from the hegemony of French fashion. “Made in Italy” established itself in those years, with a group of dressmakers: Emilio Shubert, Sorelle Fontana, Simonetta, Mila Schon, Jole Veneziani, Fernanda Gattinoni, Roberto Capucci, Valentino, Irene Galitzine. Nowaday the term La Dolce Vita is described as an attitude that characterises the Italians, their customs and habits, but this is the true story.

Italian Theory event

The historic centre of Milan offers a maze of streets connected into a fascinating cultural circuit. The abundance of historical and cultural landmarks, such as the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, the Archaeological Museum and the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio, along with a multitude of churches, cloisters, archaeological sites and secret gardens have become, in just two seasons, part of a new fashion and design district.

With its craft workshops, small boutiques and trattorias, the 5VIE district has quickly made a name for itself. This project was inaugurated during the 2014 Milan Furniture Fair and hosted 16 cultural events during February’s Fashion Week, creating a new dialogue between modern fashion designers and the forgotten arts. 5VIE is hidden between Via Santa Marta, Via Santa Maria Fulcorina, via Santa Maria Podone, via Bocchetto and via the Bollo, a few steps from the magnificent Piazza Borromeo.

Prince Nereides: a noble couturier

Being a consulting expert and successful fashion entrepreneur, Mila was the first to bring famous brands like Christian Dior, Fendi and Bottega Veneta onto the Russian market. In 1992 Mila created a fashion empire called Vanity, which later turned into one of the largest retail chains, representing the Russian market of luxury goods. Thus her name became synonymous with exquisite taste and a sense of style and elegance.

I met Prince Nereides entirely by accident: we were introduced to each other during a private event in Florence. We both instantly felt a lot of sympathy towards each other. That evening, I listened enraptured to stories about his childhood, his family, his attitude towards beauty, and his love for fashion.

Prince Nereides is heir to the old Spanish royal family of Aragona. A true born aristocrat, since a young age he has

split his time between homes in Paris, Florence and Capri. Nereides was always fond of fine arts and painting, but his ultimate dream was to turn his hand to creating the sort of glamorous gowns that once beguiled all the beautiful ladies of his ancestry. Despite Prince’s fondness for fashion, his family didn't support his aspirations. Being a tailor was not a fitting occupation for a person of royal blood. This is how he came to study the

sartorial arts in secret. Although his parents dreamed of a diplomatic career for their offspring, he found enough strength to resist them and forge his own path in life. So it was that in 2007 his haute couture atelier ‘La Maison Nereides’ first opened in Capri.

Soon Madonna, Nicole Kidman and Mariah Carey were among those who swooned over the creations of the blueblooded couturier. In 2012 Nereides Antonio d’Aragona was nominated ‘The Best Designer of the Year’ by the Italian Chamber of Fashion.

Nereides doesn't just draw up designer dresses on paper. He also rolls up his sleeves and personally embroiders all the finest details. The creation of just one of those luxury gowns can take up to several months of very hard work.

Recently Prince Nereides opened a new atelier in the very heart of Florence, in the elegant area of Via della Spada, personally welcoming some of his guests. Inspired by his rich family history, Prince Nereides is creating exclusive couture for a new generation of aristocracy.

by Corrado Giuspino embodies the perfection of geometric shapes Corrado Giuspino presented his first collection in 2008. Every single piece is one of a kind and comes straight from sunny Sardinia.

You graduated from the Rome Costume and Fashion Academy. When did you decide to become a jeweller?

I used to design theatre costumes at first. I am very interested in the history of the early 1900s, particularly the Art Deco era. I suppose my fascination with this period is translated into the jewellery that I create.

Twice a year the town of Vicenza opens up like a treasure chest filled with sparking surprises, as new and established jewellers from all corners of the world gather in this old town near Venice. Gorgeous shop windows packed with Bulgari, Cartier, Damiani, Pasquale Bruni, Cielo and Roberto Coin gleam and glitter, alongside offerings from very young companies whose names are not yet known to the general public.

VicenzaOro is doubtlessly one of the highlights of the jewellery world’s year. It’s a lively platform that provides participants with the opportunity to make their name or spark new interest, display their latest masterpieces, get media coverage and find actual buyers. Over 1,500 manufacturers of fine jewellery from 30 countries, along with purchasing agents and acclaimed connoisseurs and experts took part in the last exhibition in January. Round-table and training workshops are an essential part of VicenzaOro’s weekly programme and are a considerable help to companies that are yet to find firm ground in the market. Jewellers were inspired by the vibrant energy and optimistic atmosphere that surrounded the exhibition. This sense of excitement is supported by the statistics: the number of visitors rose by 13% and the number of purchasing agents by 8% compared to 2014.

These exclusive design objects are produced through metal casting, in accordance with age-old handicraft traditions. What not to miss at Milan Design Week

series of temporary exhibitions will open in the downtown Brera district, rubbing shoulders with designer shops, boutiques, art galleries and museums.

One of these exhibitions, Digital Lithic Design, will even be held in the Botanical Garden, within the framework of the ‘Energy for Creativity’ programme. Its promoters have riffed upon the tagline of the Expo itself, ‘Energy for Life’, in dreaming up this theme. The exhibition is curated by Raffaello Galiotto, who will present us with a novel approach to using marble.

Russia’s participation in Fuorisalone is becoming a grand tradition, largely owing to the Russian Design Pavilion, an international programme for promoting Russian design and trade relations. A separate exhibition with works from Russian designers will also be presented at Expo 2015, under the official patronage of Russia’s pavilion. Visitors will be able to see it in the DIN (Design In) Expo Centre in Ventura Lambrate.

The framework of Fuorisalone also involves the official launch of a new book, ‘Design For 2015’, which showcases works by 150 designers from various countries. Among them are projects from ten Russian, Ukrainian and Belorussian creators.

For the 54th time, Milan is about to rock the design world, as creatives from all around the globe descend on the city for this year’s Design Week, held between 14 –19 April. Many of the Design Week events are also related in one way or another to the World Expo 2015, which opens its doors a few weeks later on 1 May. The Rho Fiera Exhibition Centre is almost ready to host Salone Del Mobile 2015 – an annual event highly anticipated by the furniture industry. If you want to take a look at the amazing designs on display you’d better visit the pavilions during the closing days of the exhibition, to skip the crowds and enjoy a relatively quiet atmosphere. This year over 2,000 companies will use 200,000m² of space to showcase their design works, so it’s bound to be packed.

Fuorisalone presents a more democratic review of furniture trends, acting as a counterbalance to the formal Salone.

Fuorisalone emerged spontaneously in the early 80s upon the initiative of several companies. Back then nobody expected this project to become an essential part of the Milan Design Week.

Fuorisalone events will take place in Tortona, Brera, Ventura Lambrate, 5Vie, Porta Venezia and other parts of the city. A

Precious and timeless

As stable and conservative as the world of antiques may seem, it tends to live in accordance with its own frequently changing trend PAINTINGS Paintings are the most highly prized items in the world of antiques. But you need to evaluate the quality, origin and condition of a work of art before purchasing it. It’s best to consult a professional art conservator to avoid making false conclusions: he or she will help you estimate the age of the item and its authenticity. Rural and urban landscapes and portraits of the 18th century are the most popular motifs.

A name worth remembering is Pompeo Batoni. Many foreign aristocrats posed for this artist during their trips around Italy. These ceremonial portraits are particularly sought after among antique lovers.

Portraits by Giovanni Battista Lampi are also very valuable.

He worked in Austria, Poland and Russia and had a significant influence upon many painters.

Another important name is Angelica Kaufmann. This Swiss painter is famous for her portraits.

The second genre that has been growing in popularity is mythology. Still life paintings, religious motifs and nameless portraits are of no particular value to antique collectors.

He was creative director of the world-famous Richard Ginori factory in 1920. Items produced by the company during that period are most valuable today.

Keeping up with trends makes sense when you think of antique objects as a good investment rather than a way to adorn your home. Svetlana Barni, expert in the field of Italian antiques and Director of the Walter Padovani Gallery in Milan, shares the kind of investments that are especially worthwhile today, and what you should consider before making a purchase.

FURNITURE The demand for antique furniture has declined quite noticeably since the end of the last century. The main reason is a change in customers’ preferences and their wish to live in a less ostentatious but more comfortable environment. Nevertheless, household elements of the 18th century are still sought after – but only if they were handcrafted by a famous artisan or come from the living room of a noble family. Large mirrors and pier tables are some of the most frequently purchased items. They don’t require much room and can fit into any interior without making it overbearing. Designer items of the 1950 are not any less popular than antique historic furniture. Their admirers’ interest reaches far beyond mirrors and tables. Wardrobes, cabinets and sofas are always in demand.

EXPO – Feeding the Planet ЭКСПО – накормить планету

'Food is our journey, home, memory, hard work and pleasure.

It is our present and our future, our life!’ So says the promo for this year’s grandest event in Italy, the EXPO Fair 2015.

Although not even open yet it has already beaten all records for the 150-year-old exhibition. Milan-based platforms will host 60 pavilions representing 140 countries, compared to EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, for example, which involved just 42 pavilions.

FRANCE'S CULINARY PAVILION The French designers were inspired by the idea of a construction kit – lightweight wooden details that can be easily dismantled and reassembled in a different place. The pavilion occupies 3,600 m2 and is divided into theme-based floors: the first floor is an indoor market, with a deli boutique and a restaurant above. Everything revolves around food products of the highest quality. A separate zone is devoted to French cuisine – here you can discover the secrets of some traditional recipes. The entire project focuses on reduction of energy consumption, recycling and water purification.

The United Arab Emirates are preparing one of the most beautiful pavilions at the exhibition. Shaped like a canyon with sinuous 12-metre-tall blue walls, this ‘manmade oasis’ with three floors, palm trees, fountains and sand dunes is designed by Norman Foster, megastar of modern architecture. The central element is a drum-shaped hall where hosts will present the theme of the event – Feeding the Planet. Inside the canyon visitors will find café islands with menus from the best chefs of the Emirates.

From the outside the ‘Field of Hope’ pavilion resembles either a silhouette of a flying dragon – a traditional Chinese symbol of progress and prosperity – or ears of wheat. This project cost its creators over €50,000,000. The translucent bamboo roof will allow bright sunbeams to illuminate the entire pavilion. Several hundred famous Terracotta Warriors, discovered in 1974 near the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, will be delivered specially for the opening of the exhibition, to symbolise the glories of China.

On 29–31 May the biggest Italian festival of street food will finish its third triumphal journey in Milan, after having travelled through Bologna, Florence and Roma. The figures alone attest to its success, with up to 50,000 visitors in Milan alone. And it’s not about tired old hot dogs. The street food festival is a mixture of vibrant new gourmet ideas, brought to culinary perfection inside colourfully decorated vans and trailers. Foreign guests will love this chance to experience the taste of real traditional Italian ‘cibo di strada’.

From 28 May–7 June and from 3–13th September, Milan will host a festival dedicated to one of the most popular sweets in the world. Strawberry, vanilla, mint, lemon, pistachio, almond, with milk, bitter or salted chocolate, tiramisu or panna cotta flavoured: sellers of the best ice cream from Torino to Sicily will gather to tempt you at the Castello Sforzesco square, in front of the entrance to Sempione Park. True lovers of this ice-cold treat will have to solve two tough problems: which flavour to choose and how to resist trying them all!

Each fragrance has its own history, written by great perfumers. One of them, Julie Massé, told us where she looks for inspiration, how long it takes her to create a perfume composition, and why black fragrances are the big trend of the 21st century For Julie Massé creating perfume isn’t just a craft but a true art, which one needs constant polishing and refining, daily, hourly. The joy of perfume can let imagination lead them to exciting new discoveries.

Julie, what inspires you?

Everything! From painting or music to simple words thrown out during an everyday conversation. When I ‘write’ a formula for a new fragrance I create a new perfume story. That’s why I try to think through every detail, to relate that story as accurately as possible.

How long does it take you to create a new fragrance?

About a year. I like to work quickly, dynamically and instinctively. Sometimes I can create a rough draft in just one day.

But when inspiration is not there, the work doesn’t go as well. When I need to create something outstanding, then I need more time, up to three or four years, because it is vital to consider every detail, every note, to take into account every nuance of the combinations. Only in this way can one create a truly exemplary fragrance.

Tell us about your last creation, Si Intense Eau de Parfum for Giorgio Armani. How would you describe it?

Si is the incarnation of femininity, charisma and independence. It has a vivid, contrasting composition, based on its elegant and intriguing black colour, the favourite colour of a true Armani lady.

And remarkably, in this fragrance the main role goes to the rich chypre note, velvety and noble. It is as mysterious and enigmatic as the black colour itself.

In addition, there are other dark sides to Si, for example, a delicious, sweet and juicy blackcurrant extract. On the bright side there are citrus notes of bergamot, mandarin and vanilla with subtle nuances of freesia and osmanthus flower.

If you needed a fabric to create a fragrance, which one would you have chosen for Si? Probably black velvet or black silk. They both are sensual, chic and special. I think they keep their shape very well and create truly feminine silhouettes. This is especially true of silk, which seems to echo the subtle hints of the fragrance itself.

JULIE MASSÉ Julie Massé is a famous perfumer from a Grasse family of perfumers with the finest sense of smell and genuine talent. It would not be an exaggeration to say that perfume is in her blood, since her father worked with fragrance in Grasse and Tokyo. Julie obtained her diploma with the French perfume school ISIPCA and perfected her skills with the great maestros Pierre Bourdon and Christine Nagel.

What does the term ‘spa’ mean when talking about hair?

The first hair spa salon was opened in London in the 1980s. I loved this concept, because I have always been a fan of individual approaches to haircutting and colouring. It is absolutely vital to take into account the individual hair structure of every woman, the shape of her face, her style and even her personality. Our clients need to feel comfortable with their own hair! In our salon we have a special kitchen where we prepare unique recipes for colouring, which are more like fruit smoothies than dye. We take organic henna and mix it, for example, with extracts of carrot, apple, ginger and chamomile, creating a true beauty elixir for hair! With the right ingredients you can get any shade you want. At the end we use professional colour as well, and the effect is truly stunning!

In your salons you often use dry haircutting methods. Tell us more about that.

Yes, I developed this method after many years of experimentation. When the hair is dry, you can see its true length and the way it naturally lies. This is very important because each hair type behaves very differently and they all need individual treatment. My method helps us to find a perfect harmony between hair and hairstyle and get the perfect shape.

If you happen to be travelling around Venice, Verona, Padua, Vicenza or any of the spectacular cities of the Veneto Region, make sure to try the local cuisine!

The culinary symbol of Treviso is probably sopa coada or, simply put, baked pigeon casserole with carrots and celery. If you visit Vicenza, be sure to try dried salted cod with polenta. The cod recipe is carefully passed down from one generation to another and a whole ‘brotherhood’ of alla vicentina fans keeps watchful guard over it. This organization promotes the dish and presents special certificates to restaurants whose chefs cook it best.

As far as Verona is concerned, its guests should most definitely try boiled meat with pearà sauce. The sauce is made from breadcrumbs, ground black pepper, meat stock and olive oil.

While traditional dishes of many other Italian regions can easily be found all over the country (for example, piadina from Emilia-Romagna or Sicilian arancini), culinary masterpieces of Veneto are only available in their home region.

This regional cuisine is based on four key ingredients: rice, cod, beans, and polenta.

There are nearly 40 ways of cooking rice in Veneto! They even cultivate their own type – vialone nano. One of the most typical regional dishes, especially popular in Venice, is called risi e bisi. It’s a mixture of rice and peas, something between a risotto and a soup, and its history dates back to the days of the Republic of Venice.

That’s what people in Italy call Ernst Knam, a master confectioner from Germany who left his home country many years ago to open his own patisserie in Milan

Have you often managed to change the minds of people who were almost indifferent to sweets?

It actually does happen rather often.

Normally, a person doesn’t like desserts just because he or she has never tried really good ones. But I’m telling you – a Chocolate Crostata fresh from the oven or a Mousse Africa with raspberries and chocolate will melt the heart of any skeptic!

What are your own favourite sweets?

I guess I like them all if they are well cooked. But my favourite would be chocolate-based sweets. I love bonbons – I call them ‘pearls of confectionery art’, and I’m a big fan of Black Forest gateau.

What brought you to confectionery as occupation?

I was as fortunate as Obelix – only I fell into a pot of melted dark chocolate instead of magic potion! Jokes aside, I’ve had a passion for sweets since birth. I used to always help my mother in the kitchen, especially when she cooked Christmas cookies. That’s where it all began.

Who is the harshest critic of your work?

Myself, without the slightest doubt. I am very hard on myself and if a recipe doesn’t come out the way it should, I easily get annoyed. I always strive for perfection despite knowing there’s no such a thing.

You see, I believe there is only one first place in any competition, and second place is purely first among the losers.

Apart from your skills and the right combination of ingredients, what makes a dessert work?

It requires passion and high spirits. If you start cooking in a foul mood plagued with negative thoughts you'll never achieve impressive results.

You have your own TV show in Italy in which you create true masterpieces of confectionery art based on your clients’ requests. For whom would you love to bake a cake?

For the Pope! I’d present him with a chocolate cake with mango, passion fruit and red berries. It’d be so great to just have a chat with the Pope and forget about time. I’d also be happy to celebrate Bayern Münich’s victory in the Champions League. I’d bake a chocolate cake with raspberries and coriander for all players, and of course we’d polish it off with German beer.

Do you often use recipes from the German cuisine in your Italian kitchen?

Ja, natürlich. I am German and your roots always show. Although I should confess I’ve been feeling more like an Italian for a long time now. I mean I’ve spent over a half of my life in this country. Speaking of German desserts, I’m always happy to cook Kirschtorte, Eierschecke (sweet cottage cheese cake with raisins) or traditional apple pie with cream as well as Black Forest gateau and all kinds of Christmas cookies.

FLOATING VILLAS BY CHRISTIAN GRANDE Christian Grande, one of our most successful Italian designers, is launching a new project – eco-friendly modular floating palaces.

Owners can tailor the layout, exterior and interior of their villas to their liking. These luxury floating houses can be used both as private homes and as commercial or tourist properties. The novelty eco-concept of these waterborne residential areas could provide a new approach to the urbanisation of coastal areas, with no harm to the environment.

ПЛАВУЧИЕ ВИЛЛЫ КРИСТИАНА ГРАНДЕ ON BOARD SUPERYACHT YOLO Last year Italian architecture and design agency Luxury Projects designed a fabulous superyacht, Yolo 26.21, and now Cantiere delle Marche have commenced production. Luxurious wood, leather and fabrics dominate the interior. Special mention goes to the opulent stone panels used for the stern stairs, cork-based bathroom furnishings and shelves carved from horn. The colour palette involves soft shades of white and brown with green and blue accents.

SOLAR SAILS FOR A CONCEPT YACHT Emerging Italian engineers Alberto Franchi and Marco Ferrari have developed a yacht concept named Helios for the prestigious Young Designer of the Year contest. The key feature of their 55-metre creation is its sails, made of flexible silicon solar panels. With an energy generation capacity of 355 kWh and supplementary accumulator batteries in the engine room, the yacht can accommodate eight crew members and up to ten guests. At the present time the Helios is literally one of a kind.

LUXURY YACHT WIDER 125 The luxury all-aluminium yacht Wider 125 has been designed

by Fulvio de Simone especially for Tilli Antonelli, President of Wider. Cabins for crew and guests are particularly spacious thanks to the idea of splitting the technical area into two separate zones. Wider is the world’s number one producer of luxury yachts featuring the kind of diesel-electric propulsion normally adopted for cruisers and merchant vessels. De Simone has also furnished the yacht interior to perfection and it can be customised with regard to the owner’s preferences.

NEW SERVICE FOR CLIENTS OF PORTOFINO YACHT CLUB From now on clients who have moored their pride and joy at Portofino Bay for winter will no longer have to wait for spring regattas for a bit of entertainment. The yacht club has partnered up with Italian sportswear brand Kappa and organised a school of mountain skiing and snowboarding especially for its clients, partners and friends. The courses take place at the Prato Nevoso resort in Piedmont, with its excellent connections with Genoa, Monte Carlo and the Cote d’Azur.
