e are so excited to introduce you to Pinnacle Church. We hope that through the next few pages you learn more about who we are, what we are planning to do and how we plan to accomplish it. This magazine was designed with you in mind. Our goal is to answer any questions you may have, as well as inspire you to partner with us on this journey. At Pinnacle Church we have 3 main goals. Create a place where you can encounter God, be reminded that He is the only way to spend eternity in Heaven and for you to have an infusion of the Holy Spirit that empowers you to all that God has purposed for you.

OUR STORY
Nate and Kala are the pastors of Pinnacle Church. Nate grew up in Indiana, and Kala in Fort Myers, Florida. Nate Moved to Fort Myers in 2005 where they fell in love and married in 2007. They have three children, Grayson and the twins, Sterling and Hendrix.
Over the past 15 years Pastors Nate and Kala have had the honor to serve at Life Church, Refresh church, Ridge Church and most recently at New Tribe Church our sending church. In 2012 Nate and Kala Served as worship pastors at Story Church in the Nashville, Tennesse area.
During their time there they lived in Smyrna, TN. and completely fell in love with the area and its people. While still living in Alabama, during the global CoVid-19 pandemic, God spoke to them that Smyrna is the place to launch a brand-new life-giving church. As they were praying and asking God what their next step might be, God did what God

often does. He set up the beautiful intersection of His purpose and our desire. He spoke to us that Smyrna, is the place to launch Pinnacle Church. With hearts full of excitement and expectation, Nate, Kala, and their three children are stepping out in faith toward the dream God has placed in their hearts: start a new life-giving church in Smryna, TN. A church that exists to create a place where people can experience God, be raised to life in Christ and serve the community in real, and tangible ways.

WHY THIS CITY

WHY SMYRNA
Smyrna is a beautiful community just south of Nashville, Tennessee. It is part of the Nashville Metro but found in Rutherford County. 59.7% of the people who live in Smyrna have no religious affiliation whatsoever.
As of 2021, the population in Smyrna was 53,070 people, with a growth of 25% since 2010. There are an estimated 345,000+ people living in Rutherford County. The poverty rate in Smyrna is nearly 10%, around 3% below the national average. Tennessee is 10th in the nation for divorce and is 16% higher than the rest of the country for suicides.
Specifically, Kala and I really feel like God has led us here because of the young families living in the community. The median age of residents in Smyrna is 35, and 46% of them are married with school-age kids. This is a demographic of people that we believe God has really prepared us to minister to. We know that God is already working in Smyrna, and it’s our heart to be a part of what others have already begun. We are looking forward to linking arms with co-laborers and to seeing Jesus lifted even higher.

PINNACLE KIDS
Your child’s safety is our number one priority. Every volunteer will be background checked, and we have a secure check in and check out system in place.
From babies, toddlers and preschoolers exploring who God is to Elementary schoolers owning their faith and believing in Jesus wholly. We want to partner with parents to help kids build a foundation of faith that lasts. We believe church should be fun and engaging for your children, that’s why we will have big games, great worship time, and creative Bible teaching. Our goal is to create a place where your kids want to come back each week.
Ultimately we love your family and want to partner with you to raise kids who love Jesus and change the world. Everything we do is meant to resource you to become the spiritual leader God intends you to be for your child.

This family has been serving overseas since 2001 living in Denmark, Belgium, France and now Israel. They are working with different "Business as Mission" intiatives in their community to be the hands and feet to the Jewish people. Less than 2% of Jewish people know Jesus!
So much history. So many people. So few who know Christ.
LOCAL MISSIONS
LINC CHURCH PLANTING NETWORK
LINC is an association of churches and ministries that have joined together to relate, grow and expand. As a relational-based network, they build strong relationships while encouraging, equipping, and engaging pastors and leaders for success. They are partnering with us here in Smyrna to launch a lifegiving church for this community.
2ND HARVEST FOOD BANK IN SMYRNA.
With more than 1 million Tennesseans at risk of hunger every day, they are working hard to get food to those who need it most. Last year their fleet of trucks covered more than 750,000 miles rescuing and delivering food. We have been partnering with them for the past 2 years as we ramped up toward launching Pinnacle Church. We want to continue to partner with them for many years to come. We will be joining them in sorting and distribution efforts as well as continued financial support.

OUR PLAN
ENCOUNTER JESUS IN WEEKEND SERVICES
We want to create an environment where people can encounter Jesus. Our weekend services will consist of Christ centered worship, life-giving practical messages and engaging experiences for kids. Our services will always be a safe place to learn about God, grow closer to Him and take the next step in your relationship with Jesus.
FIND BELONGING IN SMALL GROUPS
Life isn’t meant to be done alone. We want to create small groups that consist of people just like you, who gather all around the community outside of our weekend gatherings. We believe connecting in small groups is a practical and enjoyable way to grow alongside others.
DISCOVER PURPOSE IN NEXT STEPS
We believe everyone is important to God’s plan, and our lives will never make sense until we DISCOVER our purpose. Next Steps at Pinnacle Church is designed to help you in the important process of discovering that purpose.
We believe church is not meant to be complicated. That is why we have a simple approach that will make it easy for anyone to connect. If they are new to church, seasoned in their walk or coming back for the first time in a long time.

HOW CAN YOU FIT INTO THE STORY OF PINNACLE CHURCH?
PRAY:
At Pinnacle Church, prayer is our first response. We believe that prayer is our foundation and with much prayer, there will be much power. Please commit to praying for Nate and Kala, the Pinnacle Team, and the community of Smyrna. Here are some specific things to pray for:
PEOPLE: A key team of people who will join with us to impact lives! Pray also for the people of Middle Tennessee, that they would come to know God through the unconditional love of Jesus.
PLACE: For our first location, the Malco Cinema in Smyrna. We are believing that this initial location will be a hub for life change, community and belonging.
PROVISION: We are asking God for supernatural provision! Provision could be money, but it could also be the right relationships, volunteers, properties, buildings, office space, etc. Would you join us in asking God to resource Pinnacle Church?
