Style advice Three simple tricks to try in your own home
TRY AN EASY FURNITURE HACK ‘These bedside cabinets are from the budget Kullen range in IKEA. I’d seen a post on social media using electrical tape to create unique pieces and we had some in the house, so I decided to try it out. It was really quick and easy, and I didn’t even measure it. I just stuck it on and was happy with how it looked, and it literally cost pennies.’
MIX MONOCHROME WITH COLOUR ‘I love black and white, and the bath was the starting point for the whole look. Adding a classic pattern on the frame means it has timeless appeal. Monochrome is a really good base for adding splashes of colour, and though I love yellow at the moment, I use accessories to add colour so I can change it up at any point.’
CREATE ZONES ‘This room is big so I knew it could be multifunctional. After we installed the bath and bed, I still had this corner to play with. It’s awkward because of the slanting roof. I know other homes on our estate had chairs here too, but I decided to up the ante by putting a cocktail trolley, from B&M, in here. During lockdown it became our “going out” place.’ 116 yourhomestyle.uk
