Is the government losing the war on drugs?
W
hen President Rodrigo Duterte took office on June 30, 2016, he vowed to rid the country of illegal drugs, crime, and corruption in three to six months. Six months went by and the drug problem was still around. He then extended the deadline by another six months. A year and a half later, the drug problem still exists. What happened? During the final session of the oral arguments on the two petitions seeking to nullify the government’s war on drugs, two Supreme Court justices observed that the number of drug users have
more than doubled and there had been almost 4,000 killings since Duterte assumed office last year. Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio noted that drug users in 2015 was set at 1.5 million as cited under the Command Memorandum Circular No. 16-2016, which contains the provisions of Project Double Barrel, the antidrug campaign of the Philippine National Police (PNP). However, data from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) showed that by 2016, drug users had ballooned to 4.7 million. “So it actually increased during the

term of President Duterte. Is that correct?” Carpio asked Solicitor General Jose Calida. Calida said the data “was not really accurate and was understated.” [Source: Inquirer, Dec. 5, 2017] Associate Justice Marvic Leonen also noted that there had been almost 4,000 people killed since last year. “There are thousands upon thousands of people who are killed either in police operations or found on the side of the road,” Leonen said. “Would you say we are now suffering a crime wave consisting of a lot of murders?” he asked Calida, who responded: “I am not an expert on that your honor.” “But with the 4,000 murders for a period of one year, don’t you think that this is something we should worry about, regardless of who these people are?” Leonen said. Leonen also noted that the number of deaths went up after July 2016 when Duterte took office. [Ibid] During the hearing, it was revealed that Command Memorandum Circular No. 162016 had explicitly stated that there are three transnational drug organizations operating in the Philippines. The memorandum stated, “Chinese or FilipinoChinese drug syndicates dominate the drug market in the country.” It also stated that these Chinese syndicates “facilitate production, manufacturing and bulk smuggling of dangerous drugs in the country.” [Ibid] Calida said that based on statistics, there were 418 Chinese who were arrested. However, he stressed that they were "not killed, but arrested.” Calida added that they could not determine what exact role of those arrested by the police was -- whether they were users, peddlers or manufacturers. [Ibid] Chinese drug lords Carpio asked Calida: "How many Chinese or Filipino-Chinese drug lords have been neutralized by the PNP since July 1, 2016?” [“Neutralized” is a euphemism for “killed.”] Carpio further asked Calida: “Can you explain why PNP, in this circular, is concentrating on streetlevel operations and is practically ignoring the big time drug lords? How come the flagship project of the president is concentrated in going after small-time peddlers?
All photos & articles available online!
Why not big-time drug lords?” Carpio lamented how the antidrug campaign had focused on street level pushers and users when Chinese and FilipinoChinese drug lords dominated the drug trade. Calida said Duterte's instruction was to go after all drug users, sellers and manufacturers. “The big-time Chinese drug lords are outside our jurisdiction. They are in China,” he said. [Ibid] With the Chinese drug lords operating in China, where they’re “untouchable” and protected by corrupt Chinese officials, the Philippine authorities couldn’t do anything to bring them to the country to be prosecuted. Shabu labs It is a known fact that the illegal drug crystal methamphetamine -- known as “shabu” in the Philippines – is mainly produced in China. China has unrestricted availability of precursor chemicals, which is the main ingredient in the production of shabu. The shabu laboratories are believed to be located in the region around Guangdong and Hong Kong, and along China’s eastern and southeastern coastal areas. Many of the shabu traffickers are from organized crime groups based in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan. The shabu trade is controlled by small, tight-knit groups of Chinese who oversee the entire process: from the procurement of precursor chemicals in China to the production of the drug in the Philippines to its distribution by local gangs. Philippine authorities say many of those running the shabu trade are Triads, the ruthless criminal syndicates that have long been involved in drug trafficking. Due to China’s abundance of precursor chemicals and its unregulated chemical and pharmaceutical industries, the country has become the world’s major exporter of precursor chemicals. Smuggled drugs Philippine officials say that shabu is smuggled from China by passing it from large ships to smaller vessels, mainly off the coast of Luzon. Packages are sometimes dropped into the sea along the country’s long coastlines and picked up by fishermen. They

then pass the shabu into the hands of local drug traffickers. [Source: Reuters: Meth gangs of China play star role in Philippines drug crisis, Dec. 16, 2016] It is not uncommon that large amounts of shabu are smuggled through the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and other ports in the country. Another method of production is the use of shabu labs set up all around the country. The drug syndicates flew the production experts into the Philippines from China to work at the labs. They come in on separate flights posing as tourists or businessmen. They include a “chemist” to oversee the operation and a “cook” to actually make the synthetic drug. One such lab – a former piggery farm -- was located at Mt. Arayat in Pampanga. The police raided it after a local resident notified the police of the presence of Chinese nationals lurking around the farm. It is interesting to note the ease of which shabu is smuggled into the country. Surmise it to say, this could only happen with the collusion of corrupt customs officials and local politicians who protect the drug lords and their shabu labs. A lot of questions remain unanswered, but one thing is certain: the government is losing the war on drugs. Last December 5, Duterte issued a directive that allows the PNP to participate again in the war against illegal drugs. However, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) remains as the overall lead agency in the campaign against illegal drugs. But bringing back the PNP into the bloody campaign isn’t going to eradicate the drug menace. Simply put, killing drug users is not going to win the war on drugs. For as long as the country is proliferated with illegal drugs, the peril of drug addiction continues. The challenge is: how can the government stop shabu smuggling and shut down the shabu labs? Evidently, corruption drives the government’s inability to fight the drug traffickers. Is it then fair to say, “Stop corruption and you can win the war on drugs”? It’s worth a try.

Traditions and Christmas
A
s you savor a candy cane this CHRISTMAS, say :donke schon" to Germans, for that confectionery treat was first created in Cologne. As you admire your poinsettia, say "gracias" to Mexico, where the plant originated. Say "merci beaucoup" to French for the term Noel, and give a "cheers" to the English for your mistletoe. But as we enjoy our traditions and festivities of the CHRISTMAS Season - customs that have been collected from around the world - let's save most sincere and heartfelt "Thank You" for our good, merciful, and loving GOD. From Him came the reason for our CHRISTMAS celebration: the baby born in that
Judean manger more than 2000 years ago. An angel announced the arrival of this Gift to mankind by saying, "I bring you good news that will cause great joy . . . a Savior has been born to you" (Luke 2:10-11). This CHRISTMAS, even in the light of the sparkling CHRISTMAS tree and surrounded by newly opened presents, the true excitement comes when we turn our attention to the baby named JESUS, who came to "save His people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21). His birth transcends tradition: It is our central focus as we send praises to GOD for this INDESCRIBABLE CHRISTMAS GIFT.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you Trust in HIM (Romans 15:13). RESOLVE TO RESOLVE I haven't made any NEW YEAR's resolutions for many years. I haven't needed any new ones - I'm still working on old ones like these: Write at least a short note in my journal everyday (which I started, then I stopped); organize my time; try to make an immaculately clean suite which is a bit smaller than our former home. This year, however, I am adding a NEW Resolution that I found in Paul's letter to the Romans. "Let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, "not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother's way" (Romans 14:13). Although this Resolution is old (about 2000 years) it is one that should renew annually. Like believer in Rome centuries ago, believers today sometimes make up rules for others to follow and insist on adherence to certain behaviors and belief that the
BIBLE says little or nothing about. These "stumbling blocks" make it difficult for followers of JESUS to continue in the Way of Faith that E came to show us - that Salvation is by GRACE, not works (Galatians 2:16). It requires only that we trust HIS death and Resurrection for forgiveness.
FilipinoJournal.com
9 We can celebrate this Good News of CHRIST in the coming year by Resolving not to set up hurdles that cause people to stumble. FAITH is the HAND that receives GOD's Gift, then FAITH is the FEET that walk with GOD. HAVE A BLESSED CHRISTMAS AND A PEACEFUL NEW YEAR !

2017 Year-Ender Album Recommendations
T
he year is nearing its end once again, giving way to yet another new beginning, new adventures. So, it is time to make a recap of new music released in 2017 that any music fan should check out and listen to, particularly those whose preferred genres include New Wave, Metal, Alternative Rock, and Progressive Rock. file under New Wave / Alternative Rock Arcade Fire - Everything Now Those who have been accustomed to the typical fuzzy and cacophonic tendencies of Arcade Fire, especially when pertaining to the Canadian band’s earlier albums, will certainly find themselves pushed out of their comfort zones while listening to Everything Now. However, if you love stylistically progressive music, then the new album of the Montreal, Quebec-based band will immediately catch your fancy. Recommended tracks are the title track, “Infinite Content,” and “Electric Blue.” Gene Loves Jezebel - Dance Underwater There are bands whose disappearance from the limelight causes them to recharge and to reignite their old flame for words and melodies, enabling them to combine all these with their timewrought experience and current musical state of mind, producing majestic results. The English band Gene Loves Jezebel, with its new album, Dance Underwater, is an epitome of this.
Formed in 1980, in London, England, Gene Loves Jezebel was in the forefront of the Gothic New Wave/Rock scene in the late ’80s, churning out hit single after hit single, which included “Heartache,” “Desire (Come and Get It),” “The Motion of Love,” and “Jealous.” Recommended tracks from the band’s new album are “Charmed Life (Never Give In),” “World Gone Crazy,” and “Chase the Sun.”] Morrissey - Low in High School Only two years fresh from the success of his well-crafted tenth album, Morrissey—the equally loved and loathed vocalist and lyricist of the long-defunct English band The Smiths— is all ready to axe again the Monarchy and other issues that disgust him. His new manifesto, Low in High School, is another impressive set of provocative proclamations draped in golden red and brilliant blue tin foils of catchy melodies and choruses as well as intricate arrangements and instrumentation. Recommended tracks from the quirky artist’s new album are “My Love, I’d Do Anything for You,” “I Bury the Living,” and “All the Young People Must Fall in Love.” Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - The Punishment of Luxury Both fresh and familiar, O.M.D.’s new album, The Punishment of Luxury, showcases a perfect blend of the English band’s old, classic Synthpop sound and its contemporary Electronic
The Pulse of the Filipino Community since 1987
Dance Music experimentation heard best in its latter works. Properly known as Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, the now highly influential band was formed in 1978, in Merseyside, England. O.M.D. catapulted to commercial popularity in the 1980s, via a slew of hit singles that included “Electricity,” “Enola Gay,” “Souvenir,” “Genetic Engineering,” “Talking Loud and Clear,” “Secret,” and the ubiquitous “If You Leave” from the soundtrack of the 1986 John Hughes film Pretty in Pink— effectively placing the band in the pantheon of New Wave Pop greats. Recommended tracks from the band’s new album are “The Punishment of Luxury,” “What Have We Done,” and “One More Time.” U2 - Songs of Experience What self-respecting Rock or even Pop music enthusiast would claim that she does not know U2—one of the most ubiquitous bands in the world? Formed in 1976, in Dublin, Ireland, U2 never really stopped from making music and taking this to the road and onto the world’s biggest stadiums. Its thirteen critically acclaimed studio albums have produced charttopping singles that included “I Will Follow,” “Gloria,” “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” “Pride (In the Name of Love),” “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “Angel of Harlem,” “"Even Better than the Real Thing,” “Stay (Faraway, So Close!),” “Staring at the Sun,” “Beautiful Day,” “Vertigo,” “I’ll Go Crazy if I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight,” and “Every Breaking Wave.” Now, the Irish quartet has just released their new offering, transforming once again innocence to experience—not only for themselves but also for the world at large. Recommended tracks are “You’re the Best Thing about Me,” “Get Out of Your Own Way,” and “The Little Things that Give You Away.”

file under Progressive Rock / Metal: Sepultura - Machine Messiah The new album of Sepultura is an amalgam of various sounds that include Glam Metal, Gothic Rock, Grunge, Hardcore, and Latin World music. The Brazilian Metal band is, indeed, staying true to its musical vision— cultural fusion and sonic diversity. Formed in 1984, in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Sepultura has become one of the most prized, culturally grounded bands in the Metal world. Recommended tracks from the new album are “Alethea,” “Iceberg Dances,” and “Cyber God.” Steve Hackett - The Night Siren Another smorgasbord of different musical instruments from various parts of the world and diverse sonic styles that will surely satisfy enthusiasts of classic Progressive Rock, Glam/ Power Metal, Psychedelic Folk, and World music, The Night Siren is an additional testament to the iconic English songwritermusician Steve Hackett’s prolific discography and multiculturally oriented songwriting and guitar wizardry. Hackett was the guitarist of the English band Genesis during its so-called ’70s Progressive Rock phase, when its music was defined more by its complexity than by the eventual Phil Collins– led Pop popularity. His postGenesis masterpiece remains to be his debut solo offering, 1975’s Voyage of the Acolyte. Recommended tracks from the
FilipinoJournal.com
new album are “Behind the Smoke,” “Fifty Miles from the North Pole,” and “Anything but Love.” Styx - The Mission Many of its fellow veterans tend to choose the presumed safe musical direction upon reaching the so-called twilight of their respective careers by releasing commercially oriented albums. Not Styx, whose new release, The Mission, is both a homage to and a reassertion of the American band’s Progressive Rock roots. Formed in 1972, in Chicago, Illinois, United States, Styx has sixteen studio albums under its credit, spawning a slew of now-classic ballads that include “Lady,” “Come Sail Away,” “Babe,” and “The Best of Times.” Recommended tracks from the new album are “Gone Gone Gone,” “The Greater God,” and “Red Storm.” Final Note These are just some of the exciting new albums that were released in the nearly ending year. Check them all out and treat yourself to new music. To some degrees, it’s good to be stuck in the music of the past; after all, it gives us a sense of nostalgia, unlocking otherwise forgotten memories of our yesteryears. However, how can we make new soundtracks for our new memories if we don’t stay in touch with whatever is available in the present? Be nostalgic once in a while, but ensure that you also stay updated; lest you will be left behind!

The One who Got Away
I
am currently working on a new book, titled The One who Got Away – an anthology of short stories whose theme is unpursued young loves that could have ended in happy endings…or also in not-so-happy conclusions; either way, these are love stories that leave the readers wondering with only questions of what-ifs and could-have-beens in their minds and hearts, for the past could no longer be changed; it could only be remembered as it was. This idea was inspired by my having reconnected again with many of my College classmates and friends whom I haven’t seen nor communicated with for more than two decades, until recently when our class president took the task of finding many of us one by one on social media—for the purpose of organizing a sort of a class reunion in the foreseeable future. While chatting with one another, one topic that most have decided to gamely talk about was our respective crushes back in College; and thus born the idea of my writing a compilation of stories that will tell of unrequited or unpursued loves—reminiscing about “the ones who got away.” Here’s the first story that I

have started for that collection, titled “Our Future Together Was Not So Bright After All.” This is only Chapter One. And this is a work in progress. I hope to be able to finish this in a few weeks’ time. "Our Future Together Was Not So Bright After All" (to J.M.) Chapter One That one summer day in March 2001 was hot and humid, the reason I was feeling lazy to go out of the house. I looked up at the clock on the wall: It said 7:30 a.m. I should be really up and out of bed already and eating my breakfast. It would be a long day. I was going to my former school, the College where I finished my Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, to obtain a copy of my transcript of records; and then I would be proceeding to the nearby Professional Regulation Commission to renew my Nursing license. Finally, I decided that life abroad was the one for me—in Canada, to be exact, where I had relatives who had been prodding me to immigrate there once and for all; and the possibility of working there as a nurse or anything closely related was what I would be needing copies of those documents for.
Every time I thought of Canada, it gave me mixed feelings. Excited yet apprehensive. Happy but sad. For eventually, I could start my life all over again in a country where great opportunities abound. I could meet new friends, not only fellow Filipinos but surely also people from other cultures. Maybe I could go back to school and study a new course or even finish another degree, or perhaps pursue my dream of becoming a published author. Would I find my future belovéd there? Maybe yes, maybe not. On the other hand, the thought of living in another country also seemed tough and scary, for this entailed leaving my life in my homeland behind…all my friends, my family, my band, my books, my records…only to start again as a nobody, in a strange land far away from home—with nothing in my pocket but a glimmer of hope and new dreams for old and keys to my still uncertain future!a “aLfie!” My mom suddenly appeared from the kitchen. “You will be late. You don’t want to be caught in the traffic and also to find yourself standing at the end of a long line. You know how long it takes getting documents from schools and government offices. Hurry up, go!” “Okay, Mom. I’m going. See you later,” said I, as I rushed towards the front door of our house without even finishing the scrambled-egg sandwich and cup of hot chocolate that she prepared for me. (to be continued…)
Unique Christmas traditions in the Philippines
T
he Philippines is known for celebrating the longest Christmas season in the world. Filipinos start to feel the Yuletide season once the “ber” months show in the calendar, and it officially ends on the Feast of Epiphany (Three Kings). A number of reasons why you should at least spend Christmas in the Philippines include customs and traditions that are uniquely Filipino. The “Simbang Gabi” also called the Misa de Gallo or the Rooster’s Mass refers to the early morning masses starting on the 16th of December and ending on the 25th of December. Children also start going from one house to another doing the “Caroling” tradition by singing classic Filipino and foreign Christmas Carols. Since Christmas is also the season of giving, there is the “Monito/ Monita” exchange gifts, and for those with godchildren, the giving of aguinaldos and pamasko. The “Parol” also known as Philippine lantern is a unique Filipino
decoration traditionally made from colorful papers, bamboo sticks, and shapedlike five-pointed star. After the midnight mass on Christmas, The “Noche Buena” is a grand family dinner and a hearty feast full of delicious Filipino food such as lechon, pancit, ham, queso de bola, and a lot more. Another popular decoration in the Philippines is the “Belen” or the Nativity Scene which is displayed in churches, schools, homes, offices, and establishments. The “Three Kings” is a religious event in the Philippines celebrated with a mass, on the first Sunday after the New Year. It also marks the end of the Christmas season.

A Filipino Christmas in Steinbach by Levy Abad
(This column is reserved for the readers of Filipino Journal who have something to say about particular issues concerning, but not limited to, the Filipino culture especially politics and current events. So, if you have something to say, write it down and then submit it to elfideas102@yahoo.com. If we find your article befitting our standards, we will publish it here.—Ed.)
O
n December 2, I traveled to Steinbach to attend the South East Manitoba Filipino Association (SEMFA) Christmas Party, held at Pat Porter Active Living Centre. I was happy to respond to the invitation of the president of the association, Kris Ontong, to perform original compositions about migrant life and struggles. I trekked the roads to Steinbach, excited about the prospect of performing my songs. I was not disappointed. After my performance, there were folks who approached me to let me know that they liked the songs. They told me that my songs made them teary-eyed. They also laughed and smiled as they reflected on their own migrant experiences, as
I sang lines from my song “NaShock Ako” (available on iTunes). The Christmas celebration was a big success, with about 250 people in attendance. Prizes were given and performers whom included NAMBA, P-Noise, and Los Amigos entertained the crowd. Everyone partook in the different varieties of delicious food. The Mayor of Steinbach, Chris Goertzen, and the MP for Provencher, Hon. Theodore “Ted” Falk, graced the event. I also saw my lawyer friends Gary Sarcida and Daniel Cleto from Pullan Kammerloch Frohlinger, as well as my friend Won Jae Song of Diversity Times. Steinbach, Manitoba,
according Jorie Alivio Sawatzky, the founding Chair of SEMFA, could boast of the presence of approximately 1,500 Filipinos actively contributing to the economy of the city. SEMFA President Ontong confirmed this data, adding that “there is a constant flux of 50 to 100 Filipinos arriving yearly on average.” Edwin Sonsona, a friend and longtime Steinbach resident, relayed that most Filipinos worked in barns of HYLIFE, Maple Leaf, and ProVista Agriculture Ltd.; and that many held non-barn jobs at companies like Valeant Pharmaceuticals, Granny’s Poultry Cooperative, Loewen Windows and Doors, and Barkman Concrete. According to former SEMFA President Raymond Chua, back in 2015 there was approximately a thousand Filipinos in Steinbach. Given these figures, one could estimate the notable presence of the Filipino community in the locality. Aside from their economic contributions, Filipinos of Steinbach worked hard to keep the culture alive. This may be seen at events like the 2015 Pioneer Days Parade, which showcases diverse cultural forms that reflect Philippine history, customs, and traditions. SEMFA Founder Sawatzky was gracious enough to provide me with the list of SEMPA’s leaders through the years. In October 2006, he was elected as the Interim President, assuming presidency from March 2007 to March 2009. Jun Narvaez became its second president (March 2009 to 2011). He was followed by Rommel Gallego (March 2011
Maligayang Pasko!
to 2013), Cesar Valdez (March 2013 to 2015), Raymund Chua (March 2015 to 2017), and finally, Ontong (2017 to 2019). These leaders were and continue to be instrumental in laying down the requisites of unity that SEMFA has exemplified. Going over the Facebook page of SEMFA, one will see a lot of things going on in their organization. Although SEMFA was primarily organized as a support system for newly arrived immigrants in Steinbach, it also participates at numerous events like the Annual Pioneer Days Parade, as mentioned earlier; Summer in the City; Cultures in the City, where SEMFA sells Filipino barbeque and hosts musical presentations, both traditional and contemporary; Volunteers Appreciation; Pick Up and Walk (for a Clean and Healthy City); and other programs that serve to welcome newcomers. SEMFA has also organized workshops on different immigration concerns, like the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program in cooperation with the Friends of Filipino Migrants. The association has also joined events sponsored by Eastman Immigrant Services like “An Evening of Fun” at the Mennonite Heritage Village. Indeed, to be a part of the leadership team of SEMFA is not a walk in the park; it actually involves dedication and sacrifice in serving the people of Steinbach. From the first Chair of SEMFA and the succeeding leaders who tirelessly gathered the community through the years up to the present, leadership is really a significant achievement in itself. Ontong has this to say about the Association: “SEMFA Council is proud to cap off the year with a well-attended Christmas Party that doubles as a membership signup/renewal event. The feedback has been very positive about the new features that were introduced in the event—as examples, Interac machine for payment convenience, major raffle prizes that boosted ticket sales, and a

featured kababayan performer whose songs resonated deeply with the Filipino immigrants of the area. Earlier this year, many other improvements were brought into SEMFA and they all resulted in increased interest in the association, bringing in new members to the Facebook group and more volunteers helping out in projects and activities. These achievements are worth pointing out as they were accomplished by just a handful of Council Officers and some dedicated volunteers. Next year, the restructuring of the SEMFA Council will begin so that it will be made up of representatives from the different job sectors of the region. It is our hope that SEMFA members will take part in this historic transition to make the association stronger and more reflective of the community that we live in.” Again, I would like to thank SEMFA’s current president, Kris Ontong, and the rest of the team. The same goes to the volunteers for inviting me over to perform my songs that reflect our experiences in the Canadian diaspora. I can’t wait to write a song about Steinbach Pinoys and their stories. For what is the worth of art and culture if not used to reflect our people’s experiences of success and struggles? Truly, after all the events that they organized, our kababayans in Steinbach deserve to celebrate the best Christmas Party ever. Congratulations! Mabuhay! Until we meet again! *Levy Abad is a freelance writer, a singer-songwriter/recording artist, a member of Migrante Canada–MB Chapter, and a founding member / program coordinator of Winnipeg Multicultural Human Rights Forum. He has released three albums: Canadian Experience vol. 1, Never Give Up, and Rhythms of Compassion (Canadian Experience vol. 3). Horoscope Your focus continues to be on exploring new opportunities and making fresh discoveries. This can also be a chance to examine an offer that comes your way again. By looking at it with fresh eyes, you may find reasons to want to explore it further. There might also be some unexpected encounters coming your way that are like a breath of fresh air. Finally, encourages you to step out positively. There may be changes that you’re eager to see happen, yet as its retrograde phase. The deeper issues of life could continue to be on your mind and encourage conversations with those who can act as trusted advisers or confidants. You might need to take stock, especially when it ties and while your social life shows great promise, you might be drawn to reflect and act on issues that will take your life forward.
You might need to unpick a promise or contract that requires adjustment due to recent events. With your sector of relating continuing in focus could see you networking and perhaps reviewing ideas, projects, or even decisions. It might be just as well to expect the unexpected, as an invitation could lead to a sizzling encounter.
PAHALANG
Issues associated with your job and wellness matters continue to command. And with spinning backward it pays to be watchful, especially if dealing with important documents. Your leisure sector for all kinds of activities gets a boost. Long-term relationships and new romance can see the flame of love glowing brightly. They could encourage you to reject bad habits and adopt healthier ones.
The love bug may continue to keep you captivate with highlighting dating opportunities. You might feel a need to make a decision. Consider leaving things as they are for now, as your outlook could change. You might be ready for a holiday get-together. They suggest a new creative project could attract.
You might need to reconsider a decision that involves other family members. While the holiday mood sparkles, there continues to be activity at home that may involve important discussions. You could find that others respond favorably to any changes. This can also be a time of reunions. It feels good to reconnect with those who you haven’t seen in while.
Be sure to give yourself plenty of time if you have deadlines to meet. The reason is that it’s best not to leave everything until the last minute as long as still backward. There’s good news on which could see you connecting with a person who reminds you of someone from your past. Because of this, you may get on exceptionally well. They could coincide with a golden opportunity. Will you grab it?
They combine with chatty retrograde and encourage you to take stock of your situation and see what you can do to improve it. The focus on your personal financial zone continues. Go easy when purchasing big-ticket items. If you have no option but to buy them, keep receipts and paperwork. The good news is that with some spectacular opportunities could come your way.
You might do better to research your options in the meantime. This is a great time to attend to personal goals and interests. Don’t rush any decisions, though, as with continuing its retrograde phase, changes may need to be made anyway. You may also want to look into an idea that you rejected but that now seems very appealing. Indeed, combine with communicative and discussing this with others can help you decide whether to go ahead or not.

If this is the case, you’re on track, because a continued focus on your spiritual sector encourages this. You may still have a desire to take time out to reflect and recharge. This can also be the perfect time to resolve issues that may have dragged on for some time. Encourage you to take up a practice such as meditation that can help you relax deeply and encourage peace of mind.
You might find that old friends come back into the fold, bringing a chance to carry on where you left off. Your social sector continues to look upbeat, encouraging you to make a few changes and consider moving in new circles. However, with a very powerful focus on your career zone involving expansive things are certainly looking up in this area.
With presently retrograde, hold off signing contracts or committing to major deals if possible. There’s a lot of activity in your goal sector that can indicate a time of goal setting, whether it’s related to your career or a personal ambition. If you can’t, you could find that changes occur that alter the original terms and conditions considerably. There are times, though, when this can work in your favor. Inspire you to take the first step toward a personal ambition.

White Christmas Ok lang sa Larawan
A
Pasyal ka sa Angeles, will treatyou to dinner).

Bato to get Bureau of Corrections chief Philippine National Police Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa will be the next chief of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) after his retirement on January 21, 2018. President Rodrigo Duterte made the announcement during a Christmas Party with members
of the Malacañang Press Corps on Tuesday night. Dela Rosa was not surprised as he said Duterte has long informed him about it, quoting the president as telling him, “Everyone failed in that agency but I hope for you to succeed.” Dela Rosa described his
