Here we are at the second issue of the brand new FIM Europe Magazine. These months have been very intense. After two tough years, this racing season finally took off and the all the European Championships and Cups were back in action on track with riders and fans, ready to live this 2022 with excitement. We were ready to live again our ordinary life, the one we all so much missed and we were waiting for. But, after the difficulties of Covid, another battle started: it’s a real war, that of Russia against Ukraina.

This FIM Europe Magazine has a special supplement: a few days ago, the FIM Europe Congress was held in Bucharest. After a two-year break, it was exciting to meet you again, colleagues but above all FRIENDS. The Congress marked the end of the 2018-2022
mandate: my first four years with you. I would like to sincerely thank Alessandro Sambuco and Martin de Graaff, who will forever be my first “Mr President”. I learned a lot with him and I will keep this experience in my heart. Now another new adventure begins, with a new President with whom I share many passions (Enduro above all!) and from whom I know I can learn a lot more. Congratulations to Michal Sikora, my new President! In the end, I would like to thank the Romanian Federation for their enormous efforts and dedication in preparing the Congress. A real organizational machine, that planned and prepared every day in detail: you have done an amazing job with an outstanding result! The baton passes to the Spanish Federation and I’m already looking forward to seeing again the great FIM Europe family!
