Welcome

Hello NJDB! We have officially passed the halfway mark! What! It feels like we all just took office yesterday!

Because of your hard work, we have had a very successful first half and I thank you all for that.

Second half is a very exciting time on the NJDB! Some highlights will include, Fall Rally, board meeting memories, DCON MC Auditions, DCON and more!

Even though it gets very fun, the work is still a lot! There is a lot more committee work, successor hunting, and continued communication with your clubs!

Youth Opportunities Fund

The Youth Opportunities Fund uses earned interest to help Key Clubs and Key Clubbers serve the world by providing grants for service opportunities.

Facts: Due: October 15th How much: $200-2000 Is there one formula to get it?: The best way to earn the grant is to show dedication to the project and show thorough planning through the application Past ideas: Buy books to give children after reading it to them, cabinets for a food pantry, garden supplies, etc.

Please encourage your clubs to apply for this either this year or next year! It is a huge way Key Club International gives back to the clubs!

Dues

Dues are so important! Every Key Clubber must pays dues! They allow Key Club International and the NJ District to provide great resources, plan great events and more. They benefit the most important members of our organization: the general members: Facts: Early Bird Deadline: November 1st (processed) Regular Deadline: December 1st (processed) Clubs can charge an extra $5 for their club treasuries.

Instructions: 1. Go to keyclub.org/MUC 2. Log into the MUC using information from your advisor (refer to website if you need help making an account).

3. Update all necessary information.

4. Once the club member information is accurate, print the invoice and either mail it with a check or submit credit card information after generating the invoice.

Key Club International Vision Partner Spotlight Landscape Structures Inc. Landscape Structures Inc. has been creating innovative playground equipment since 1971. The Kiwanis Family partners with them to bring play and playgrounds to communities, especially on its signature day of service: Kiwanis One Day. Building a playground is a great K-Family Relations project for your club and Kiwanis Club! I highly reccommend working with this organization!

What Do I Need to Know for Fall Rally/Board?

Arrival Time: 3:30 pm DCON Theme: Fill out the survey by October 8th if you wish to speak.

Visit/OTC/ DCM Survey: Fill out by October 9th.

Spike Out Hunger: You and your partner must state your set date and location during the board meeting.

How many times will we read the script?: UNTIL IT IS PERFECT START PRACTICING NOW! How will we reach 3000 attendees: By talking to your clubs even more this week!

How excited should I be when reading/in general?: VERY!

Governor’s Spotlight

Lieutenant Governor of Division 22 Ciara Clarkin is doing an excellent job! Ciara has one club visit left, 3 officers left to train, is on track with her DCM schedule, published 5 newsletters, and has stayed in constant contact with her clubs! I never have trouble getting in contact with this sweet and funny girl! Don’t be fooled by her freshiness, Ciara is one hardworking LTG!
