This tangible product characteristic results from the “surface design approach of bringing the design to the surface, not only to the shape of the product, which results in a different and unique production.

Celine Pelofi

Much like the stones encrusting her Ms. United States crown, Celine Pelofi is a rare gem who is dazzling as the Braman Motorcars Brand Ambassador. TEXT BY ROBIN HODES | PHOTOGRAPHY BY CARL DAWSON, LIVING EXPOSURE PHOTOGRAPHY

As the face of Braman Motorcars, Celine Pelofi is looking in the same direction as the brand she represents — striving to better the community while making people’s automotive dreams come true.

O

One of the top luxury car dealerships in the country, Braman Motorcars, can now add brains and beauty to its list of assets. Palm Beach Gardens resident and Miami native, Celine Pelofi, was not only crowned Ms. United States in 2015, but was also awarded the position of Braman’s brand ambassador. With the same grace that earned her the pageant win, Pelofi now serves as the public face of the dealership, participating in advertising and marketing campaigns, starring in informational videos, making public appearances and attending Club Braman events. The selection of Pelofi couldn’t be more appropriate — not only is she charismatic enough to liaise with the dealership’s discerning clientele (almost half of whom are women), but she has a natural affinity for community involvement and charitable causes, which as Palm Beach residents have discovered, is in keeping with Braman’s company philosophy that spans the spectrum. i

Pelofi is well-versed and well-traveled — she speaks three languages and has visited more than 14 countries. Here at home, she is a Florida Registered Dietitian who is passionate about feeding the hungry and has raised over $7,500 for Feeding America’s South Florida Chapter.

LUXURY YACHTING

Engineered for comfort and performance, the 297-foot superyacht Solandge, travels at a top speed of 17.5-knots and can accommodate up to 16 guests and a crew of 25. Created with exteriors by luxury yacht designer Espen Oeino, it radiates confidence and grace with it sleek lines and harmonious proportions.

What renders Lßrssen Yacht’s 279-foot luxury superyacht, Solandge, superior among its peers is the meticulous attention to detail that is weaved into every striking feature. From its shapely exterior of sleek white lines underlined by a dark blue hull, to its brightly hued interiors that feature a unique blend of rare stone, exotic wood, Venetian glass and gold-leaf, this vessel is spectacular to behold. Interior designer Aileen Rodriguez created eight lavish guest suites with handcrafted Italian furnishings. In the opulent master stateroom, 14 hand-carved backlit columns flank tall windows with sweeping sea views. The Spring 2017 collections hit the runways at the fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris. This year, designers at New York Fashion Week set the trends with a bevy of pastels, brilliant prints and metallics. Crisp whites and boldly patterned blacks caught the eye in London, while bright, sheer and shiny dressed Milan’s runways featuring couture-level gowns, sophisticated separates and fluttering bohemian flair. And once again, fashion took its final bow for the spring season in Paris, where collections known for their vibrant femininity highlight delicate fashions touched with a dash of drama. i

innovative research initiatives, public policy solutions and direct services to animals in military service, veterans and their families. Pope has been honored numerous times for her dedication to improving the world around her and believes that everyone, regardless of their socioeconomic background, can make a difference. In the elegant living room of her Manalapan, Fla., home in the Palm Beaches, a sculpture of a disabled veteran by artist Michael Naranjo, graces the cocktail table and reminds us of the important work Pope does on behalf of disabled veterans. “I have met so many of them, and I have seen their courage and fortitude,” she says. Working on a new film that sheds light on the problems they face, Pope believes that all veterans should get the care they deserve.

When the search for a larger home led a prominent Palm Beach, Fla., couple to a new 12,400-square-foot manse on the Island, they immediately knew they had found their match. “We were drawn to the location, the architecture and the exceptional detailing,” says the owner, a CEO of a privately held financial services firm. “Everything about it was perfectly attuned to our tastes and desires.” In charge of providing architectural services for the inside and outside of the home, architect Thomas Kirchhoff’s design was inspired by two famous Parisian landmarks circa the 1700s: the Hôtel de Montmorency-Luxembourg and the Hôtel Peyrence de Moras. “My intent was to create a modern-day home in the classic French Regency style,” he says. Set on an acre-plus lot in the Island’s desirable Estate Section near Worth Avenue, the home contains a two-bedroom staff apartment located in the west wing that features a clerestory cabana, a steam shower and a 700-bottle wine cellar. “It would be very difficult to find a home anywhere with

such outstanding architecture,” the husband says. “Everything was done to the very highest standards.”

To customize the interiors, the couple called upon Michigan-based, award-winning, interior designer Dan Clancy. “The clients liked what we had designed for a friend’s home in Palm Beach and asked if we would personalize their new space,” Clancy says. “We felt a high level of comfort with Dan from the outset,” the wife says. Inside and out, the stately home’s spatial sensitivities and sophisticated beauty render it superb. The exterior façade’s white stucco finish is rusticated to French Regency style with beige-toned stone detailing and crowned by a slated roof. The owners chose to keep the interior decor somewhat formal to complement the exterior architecture, but allowed free reign in most aspects of the project. “The house was so beautifully built all we had to do was decorate it,” the designer says. “The challenge was to balance and contrast the beauty inherent in the design given the grand scale of the space.” The couple desired a decor appropriately sophisticated and elegant for large gatherings, yet equally comfortable and practical for themselves and their three children. A palette of soft yellows, blues and greens complement the abundance of natural light throughout. An Impressionistic painting displayed in the living room served as the designer’s muse for the home’s signature color scheme. Rendered in a mélange of yellow, blues, pinks and green, the starting point for the living room is an oversized needlepoint area rug that showcases an authentic 18th-century design.

THE HAND-PAINTED WALL MURAL IN THE DELFT BLUE AND WHITE BREAKFAST NOOK WAS FIRST UPDATED IN A SKETCH BY MASTERMURALIST JANE SHOOK. FREEFORM, FRESH AND WHIMSICAL, IT IS ONE OF THE WIFE’S FAVORITE DETAILS IN THE HOME.

Detailed with design elements that evoke the classic French Regency period, the space is more grande salon than living room. “We featured two conversation groupings to calm the formality,” Clancy says. Near the fireplace, traditional custom sofas cushioned in a soft blue fabric by Brunschwig & Fils mingle with two 18th-century fauteuils from Paris. Covered in Scalamandré silk, the chairs were created by a Parisian atelier in the weaving profession since the days of Marie Antoinette. A second grouping showcases twin antique armchairs covered in yellow and blue floral silk and a deep-seated sofa clad in soft yellow-toned damask. In the dining room, a table comprised of reclaimed antique mahogany crafted in England is surrounded by 18th-century-style dining chairs wrapped in silk from Scalamandré. Mirrored walls reflect formal garden views, while the floral patterns in the chairs and area rug from Stark echo the home’s interior palette. Parquet in the dining room transitions seamlessly into casual limestone flooring in the adjacent breakfast nook. “The star of this space is the architecture,” Clancy says. Latticework enhanced with a hand-painted mural by master-muralist Jane Shook invokes a fantasy theme.

The white cabinetry in the European-style kitchen custom designed by Kirchhoff Architects is honed with black granite

countertops that are rusticated to resemble old slate. A blue and white pattern wraps the walls, while limestone flooring inset with mahogany shapes the space.

Close by, the European-inspired kitchen is timeless with classic architectural detailing throughout. A coffered ceiling and custom cabinetry are original to the space. “We added blue and white wall covering as a nod to the traditional French kitchen.” Overhead, a unique iron chandelier adorned with candles lends an 18th-century touch highlighted by Dutch delft tilework and a large center island. To transform the master bedroom into an elegant retreat, the design team began with a clean slate of original white-paneled walls. The walls are finished in a hand-painted, dry brush stroke motif for rustication and texture.“We added a canopy bed to tame the size of the space,” Clancy says. A vintage crystal chandelier adds to the romantic theme along with furnishings that feature a French antique bedside chest and a custom-covered bench. “We still find ourselves walking from room to room admiring everything we love about this place,” the wife says.

In memory of Daniel E. Clancy, 1947-2016.

suite, where a canopy bed from Hickory Chair sets a romantic theme. A sitting area groups a crescent-shaped sofa and a pair of antique 18th-century fauteuils around a glass-topped enamel cocktail table by Jay Strongwater.

Unique Woman. Unique Breast Cancer. Unique Treatment. Just like no two women are the same, neither are their breast cancers. Our team of physician-experts and cancer researchers is dedicated to discovering, developing and delivering the most advanced cancer treatments to precisely target your unique cancer. This means faster responses, fewer side effects and better outcomes. In fact, a recent study* revealed that you’re more likely to survive your cancer when treated at Sylvester than any other hospital in South Florida. No one is more prepared to fight your cancer. *Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) Oncol. Published Oct. 8, 2015

vehicles, the flying car of the future would make Henry Ford proud. The PAL-V ONE, a two-

wheeled aircraft that combines the comfort of a car with the agility of a

seater hybrid car and gyroplane, is a personal air and land vehicle. It has a short take off and landing capability, making it possible to land practically anywhere ... and it runs on gasoline.

The PAL-V ONE, from PAL-V International B.V., is a slim three-

motorcycle. It flies below 4,000 feet, the airspace available for uncontrolled Visual Flight Rules, so there is no interference from commercial traffic.
