What do you like best about living in South Florida? What I like about South Florida is the nice hot and steamy weather – just like the beautiful men here. I love going to the beach and just relax, forget about everything and just take in the view … the beautiful sky, the clear water and, of course … the eye candy :::wink wink:::
What do you think you offer to the community here in South Florida? Basically by being an example of staying true to who you really are. Being genuine and confident. It is ok to be different in our community; we don’t need to fall into a specific stereotype or being copies of other people. I encourage young men and women in our community to go against the grain and just love and embrace who you really are.
What are your hobbies? I love creating, painting faces, listening to music, swimming, working out and most importantly spending time with my good friends. I love to eat, although reconciling the latter with the former is difficult because “arroz con pollo” doesn’t mesh well with cardio.
my good friends would say that I’m too nice sometimes, but I just try to understand and learn the reasons behind people’s actions without judging right away or jumping to conclusions.
What is your favorite form of entertainment? Growing up, I was very much involved with dancing and performing so I love anything that has to do with performing arts. Watching musicals and dancing shows always hit home for me. So yeah, when my future husband ask me for a lap-dance, I’ll be more than willing to show him what I got :::chuckles:::
What famous person, dead or alive, would you most like to meet and why? I would definitely want to meet JK Rowling. I cannot even get around of how someone could write the way she does. Her attention to detail and consistency is absolutely unreal. I’d love to meet her one day and ask her so many questions, like what inspired her to create such amazing stories. One day I will get that chance, I’m crossing my fingers.
What is your motto?
What is the most attractive trait a man can have?
Ask the Universe and you shall receive … believe.
Physical attraction is very important but, in my opinion, a man doesn’t have to be that physically attractive if he has confidence. It is such a turn-on to talk to a man that’s secure and sure of himself, it automatically gives him sex appeal … it is so hot.
If you were on a deserted island, what would be your must have item?
What is your best quality or feature? Have you seen my ass? Haha, I’m just joking. I personally think that I have a certain way of molding myself to different personalities to understand people. Most of
A grooming kit for manscaping. I mean, you never know if I’d run into a handsome, strapping native … I’d like to look at least somewhat presentable.
What is something that most people don’t know about you? What most people don’t know about me is that I used to be a ballroom Instructor.
Each month we will be profiling one ‘South Florida Man’. Get to know the guys who are forming, improving and changing the community we live in! Sideview Mirror P
(The following is the 2nd of a 4 part series which will run for 4 consecutive weeks) He told me he took care of some horses at a stable not far from where he found me, and that he was actually just headed home from work. He looked at me once while answering a question and I finally got to see his eyes. They were as I had suspected – stunning. They were deep blue with a burst of green and a hint of amber. His lips were full and so red. He was beautiful. He told me that he felt bad just dropping me off somewhere and offered to take me back to his place. He told me he would drive me back to my car when the rain stopped. Of course I could not decline his offer ,so I said yes almost before he finished asking me. We drove a few more miles and then turned off the main road onto a dirt and stone road on which we drove for another ten minutes. We drove past a large field with trees and an old wooden fence that seemed to encase the entire field until I could see a small house. We pulled up to a house with a large porch that wrapped all the way around the side. The paint on the house, which was probably once pristine white, was now dark beige with chipped paint in many areas. He parked, then grabbed my bag and simply said “let’s go”. I got out and ran onto the wooden porch shaking my head like a dog in the rain. I could tell the house was old, as every step I took toward the door was followed by a creak in the wood panels of the porch. He opened the unlocked door and I followed him in. The room we entered was dark and he told me to give him a minute to get the lights, so I just stood by the door. A few minutes later the room began to glow and I could see the source of the light was a fire he had just started in the fireplace. I found the smell of the burning wood to be very unexpected and pleasant. As he turned to face me, I was frozen because he looked so good. It seemed like his denim jeans were airbrushed onto his strong thick thighs and his waistband sat just low enough that I could see what I could only refer to as Brad Pitt lines followed by intense 8 pack abs and incredibly muscular chest with the lightest mist of hair on it. was speechless to the point that he asked me if I was ok. It wasn’t until he repeated the question that I responded that I was fine. He told me to go sit by the fire and, as I did so he, came behind me and raised my arms up and pulled off my shirt. I did not expect him to get so close to me, let alone take my shirt off. I felt so inadequate when compared to him. I am lean and just a bit more than half his size, not nearly as muscular and I immediately crossed my arms over my chest as if to hide myself from him. He walked out of the room and my mind began to race, wondering how I ended up in his house. Why he looked the way he did and why, of all the people that could have stopped to help me, it was him. As he came back into the room he gave me a cup of hot tea and sat next to me on the small carpet near the fire which, by the way, felt incredible. He pulled off his cowboy boots and his socks and began to rub his feet. Even his feet were beautiful. I was surprised at how perfectly clean and pedicured they were. I asked him if he lived alone and he told me that the house was his grandmother’s and that she had just passed a little over a year ago and left it to him. His parents were still in Dallas, Texas, where he was from. He told me he liked the sense of isolation and tranquility that moving here had given him I began to relax a bit and simply leaned back and supported myself by placing my arms behind me on the floor. I was surprised at how nice he was and impressed by how knowledgeable he was about horses. We talked for a long while and then he stood up and walked to a window and looked back saying “well I guess the rain stopped”. A sense of disappointment came over me as the rain seemed to be the only thing justifying me remaining in his house and in his company. Just as I reached for my shirt, he told me that if I wanted I could just sleep there and leave in the morning since there was not much I would be able to do at 4 in the morning. I had a feeling this was leading somewhere, but I could never imagine what was to come. To be continued…

fashion&style The Summer Luxe Life Line Your Closet with Linen By Alex Vaughn It is HOT! There is no question the heat is on, so how can we stay stylish and cool? Well, there really is only one perfect summer fabric: Linen Linen is a textile made from the fibers of the flax plant, Linum usitatissimum. Linen is laborintensive to manufacture, but when it is made into garments, it is valued for its exceptional coolness and freshness in hot weather. Linen is great because it really is effortless. If it is a bit creased, that isn’t an issue as the island feel is not about perfectly pressed clothes! It’s also perfect for travelling, because you can just roll up your shirt or shorts and shove them in a bag and be pool glamour ready instantly! Color wise, I think white is the best, but it’s almost the most impractical, so opt for beige, teal or navy. If you are daring, many designers from the Banana to Ralph Lauren offer a linen range in vibrant colors such as orange, turquoise and pink! Here’s the thing about linen pants: you can wear them whenever you want. They’re comfortable in either warm or cool conditions, so you can wear them around the house, to the beach or you can wear them out to dinner. Classic linen pants are good summer pants because they’re light and great to wear to the beach, but also can hold up into the evening and night. You can wear them with a tee shirt to make them more casual and relaxed or you can put on a collared shirt to dress it up. Linen shorts are more relaxed – and yet smarter than the ever-popular cargo or plaid variety. As for linen shirts, it’s always best to get a relaxed fit, because it leaves room to breathe and for the wind to pick up some of the fabric! When choosing a suit, there are two basic options: Fitted and structured linen or loose. If you are attending a wedding or function that isn’t on a beach, then go for the structured like the one I selected from Nirvana and jazz it up with some bright accessories. For all else, go for the looser option as it offers more variety. The other advantage of having a linen suit in the summer is you can wear the pieces separately, but be careful cleaning them though or you could end up with different color pants and jacket (particularly if you have a dark hue of linen)!

Sale of Schubert Resort & Orton Terrace Confirmed! Pan Capital is a corporation of Swedish businessmen who have been gobbling up property on Fort Lauderdale Beach the way a thirsty dog laps up water. Hotelier Richard Gray, founder of the Royal Palms guest accommodations, is acting as spokesman for the group. He tells me that the Swedes feel the U.S. economy has bottomed out and property values are at their best in 20 years, thus the purchasing of Fort Lauderdale beach property at an unprecedented pace. Gray has confirmed the purchase of the Schubert Resort and Orton Terrace by Pan Capital. Both deals were consummated at the end of June. The Schubert, owned by real estate giant Tony Dee, was purchased for $1.7 million and Orton Terrace, owned by Roger Handevidt, was purchased for $1 million. Both purchases were cash deals. Over the last year or so Pan Capital has purchased the Flamingo, the Dunes, Blue Dolphin, the Robbindale, the Royal Palms, Orton Terrace and Schubert Resorts. And that’s for starters. The group has also purchased a large number of straight properties. According the Gray, all of the gay accommodations purchased will remain catering to the gay traveler except the Blue Dolphin. Gray has also told the SCOOP that North Fort Lauderdale Beach is being developed into an area that will be called North Beach Village, a quaint area of café’s and boutique motels and hotels. Orton Terrace will soon close and major renovations will get underway. The plan is to merge the Orton Terrace with the old Royal Palms into a hotel named the Hotel Lush Royale, an upscale hotel catering to the sophisticated gay traveler.

Sail Away Charter brokers lead a new paradigm of 100% customized travel on the world’s greatest yachts.
With modern jetsetters looking beyond commercial cruises and traditional resorts for their next upscale vacation, private yacht charters have upped the ante to provide the ultimate bespoke vacation. Professional yacht charter brokers like Ulla Gotfredsen of “Amazing Charters” (www.amazingcharters. com) function as maritime matchmakers, pairing clients with beautiful boats, seasoned crew and tailored agendas that suit their whims, tastes and personalities. Chartering a crewed yacht is like “creating your own floating luxury boutique hotel,” explains Ulla. The destinations, the cuisine, the drinks, the hospitality and the activities are all at clients’ discretion. Plus, amenities like flatscreen TVs, WiFi and iPod docking stations are identical to those in high-end hotels. Ulla navigates us through some key tips for a floating vacation with endless opportunity.
o
Use a broker
Yacht charter brokers are like free personal shopping experts. Good brokers know the intricacies of the myriad of private yachts available – everything from crew personalities to the ages and styles of the boats to the languages spoken by the polyglot captains (and crew). Best of all, the prices they provide are identical to those of direct bookings (which begin at $300/person/day).
Go all-inclusive
Clients can choose between bareboat and luxury crewed yacht charters. Like the name implies, bareboat charters provide the insured boat only
56 | jumponmarkslist.com
and are recommended for experienced sailors. Luxury crewed charters, on the other hand, are an all-inclusive package of boat, crew, unlimited food, drink and unabashed pampering.
Pick a start and a finish
International boating hotspots like the British Virgin Islands and the Mediterranean tend to have the greatest selection of yachts for the start of a sojourn. That said, brokers easily arrange a crewed yacht to begin and end at almost any reasonable location around a desired destination(s).
Find a match
The key to a successful charter experience is the perfect match between the clients and the boat/crew. Some yachts cater to romance, others to families. Some specialize in diving excursions. Others offer kiteboarding and watersport extravaganzas.
Set lofty goals
The best part of a personal charter is the ability to control your vacation. Price is based on the number of days and the yacht itself, not on the activities. Ulla encourages her Caribbean globetrotters to play golf in Anguilla, go shopping in St. Maarten and dine in St. Barth’s – all in the same day. Likewise, she advises her Mediterranean jetsetters to enjoy morning croissants in France and dinner in Italy. And that’s only on day one! View more travel tips: AmazingGayTravel.com

fitness By Tom Bonanti Rub Out Back Pain Train Those Abs!
Over 80% of all Americans will experience low-back pain at some point in their lifetime. Many of these people will miss work and incur sizeable medical expenses. If you have poor posture, sit most of the day and are overweight, you are definitely a candidate. A healthy, pain-free back is often something you take for granted until an injury occurs. You don’t have to be a trainer or sports doctor to realize that taking a few preventative measures each day can keep your back strong and healthy. Training your abdominal muscles regularly not only helps you achieve a six pack, it can also strengthen your low back. Weak abs are the root of many lower-back problems, ranging from acute spasms to chronic low-back pain. Flabby, out of shape abs force the low-back to work harder in a variety of strenuous and mundane activities, straining the supporting musculature and ligaments of the spine. Weak abs combined with excessive abdominal weight (a big gut!) can lead to an exaggerated lumbar lordotic curve (sway back). This, in turn, can cause postural problems while sitting, standing or walking, increasing the chance of inflaming and irritating your nerves, discs and muscles. Weak abs, a big belly and sitting on your butt all day in front of a computer can trigger one hell of a bad backache. Unfortunately, this seems to have become the American way of life – and so has low back pain. On the flip side, toned abs, proper exercise and a low-fat diet can provide a healthy, rock-hard defense against 80% of all lower back ailments. The abdominal muscles are like other muscles in your body – you should train them hard and then allow them to rest and grow and strengthen outside the gym. Hitting abs hard three times a week is preferable to 100’s of sets of reps day in and day out. Leg lifts, straight leg sit-ups and excessive twists are a prescription for a bad-ass backache. Crunches will isolate your abs better than anything else, because they tax your trunk flexors (rectus abdominis or “6 pack”) rather than your hip flexors (iliopsoas muscles or deep muscles in your pelvis). A proper crunch is performed flat on your back, knees bent and legs elevated over a bench, sofa or exercise ball. Place your hands behind your head, but do not interlock your fingers. Cradle your neck and head as you crunch up, bringing your elbows
o
60 | jumponmarkslist.com
to your knees. Do not pull up with your hands on the back of your head, as this will place undue strain on your seven cervical vertebrae. Do not roll up on your tail bone. Simply crunch bringing your elbows to the knees, pause and contract your gut muscles, and return to starting position. Variations of the crunch can effectively isolate, strengthen and build strong abdominals. The number of sets and reps you do depends on how much time you have and your endurance level. Both your abs and lower back muscles support your spine; treat these muscles as equals. An imbalance adds stress and strain on the supporting musculature of the spine. If you work your abs, make sure to stretch your lower back while you are down there with simple cat stretches or by bringing your knees up to your chest a few times. Make sure to work your lower back into your regular back routine. Remember, you can do crunches till the cows come home, but one trip through a drive-thru fast food dive can put a damper on your progress. Combine healthy, low fat eating with cardio and weight training and your sexy defined abs will knock them dead. Tom Bonanti is a certified personal trainer and owner of Punp’n Inc Gym at 1271 NE 9th Ave, Fort Lauderdale. For more information on ab training, contact TrainerTomB@aol.com.

Thinking of Investing? Here is what two of our clients had to say about their experience: My partner and I relocated to FT. Lauderdale from Chicago. We are by no means “property virgins”. Rick knows each house by name (I think he has sold most of them at one time or another) and the intricacies of every neighborhood. If you are looking for established or up-and-coming neighborhoods he knows the trending pulse of Fort Lauderdale and has the ability to get you into the best possible location. We ended up purchasing a couple properties from him and are now leasing them with an excellent ROI. Best Agent in Florida!
