from the publisher It is with great pleasure that I announce that Multimedia Platforms, LLC, (MMP) will be merging with Cybermesh International Corp (OTCBB: CYTL) Cybermesh International Corp (OTCBB: CYTL) is a technology based company focused on supporting media industries with online distribution, analysis and revenue protection and Multimedia Platforms, LLC, (MMP) is an emerging leader in the field of LGBT multimedia which has successfully integrated print and online publishing to become a principal entertainment and news source nationwide, announced today that they have signed a letter of intent to merge the two companies. MMP will remain the surviving entity and I will be serving as the new CEO. This merger provides MMP the perfect positioning for our long terms goals as a company and comes at an ideal time to accommodate the growth we are experiencing. MMP is currently operating cash flow positive and anticipates revenue in excess of $1.5 million in 2011. Sam Porter, CEO of Cybermesh commented, “We believe that Robert Blair has built the most dynamic, inclusive and integrated media company in the LGBT market space--and we believe his proven platform has almost infinite expansion potential. This acquisition will allow Multimedia Platforms to access the public capital markets to build resources and seize growth opportunities now and in the future.” Multimedia Platforms, LLC started in November 2009, at that time MMP purchased 50% of Mark’s List and all of their assets, websites, products and domains. We did this for the sole purpose of integrating our print publications with an online platform. When 411 and South Florida Blade filed bankruptcy jointly, I hired all the staff away within 24 hours and that very same week, three days later in-fact, produced two brand new publications, Mark Magazine and the Florida Agenda. At that point in time I worked closely with Kevin Hopper and Mark Haines to begin to develop the Multimedia concept of integrating print publications and an online platform. Consequently due to the success of the integration, both Mark Magazine and the Florida Agenda have grown in size and revenue

and Mark’s List website has developed at an unprecedented rate in terms of google index pages, page views, millions of visitors and revenue. As you know we also recently launched www. mygayradio.com which is an online 24/7 pop and dance radio station. This has been positively received on a global scale. The result of our successful integration process and growth in business has provided us with this incredible opportunity to merge with Cybermesh International, a fully reporting, public company. Based in Southern California’s technology hub, Cybermesh International is a technology-based company focusing on developing and exploiting technologies that assist the entertainment, telecommunications and media industries with online distribution, analysis and revenue protection. As part of the terms, Multimedia shareholders will receive ten million restricted shares and $500,000 cash. We will be building upon our success as an allinclusive media platform consisting of newspaper, magazine, online radio, entertainment and news website formats and will expand this to include video and mobile devices to reach all facets of the LGBT community internationally. We are focused on 1) reaching new consumers with the latest technology and market expertise and 2) to delivering the highest quality of news and entertainment to our readers, viewers, listeners and advertisers. This merger allows us to do the above and much more. We are looking forward to taking our proven integrative approach across the entire United States to bring the LGBT community news, entertainment and above all to make a difference to all the communities we serve. I would like to personally thank my entire staff, all our business partners, who are our loyal community advertisers and a special thanks, to our readers, viewers and listeners, for your incredible support across our entire Multimedia Platform. Sincerely, Bobby Blair Publisher

The Man Behind the Players Photographic genius Rick Day just released his sequel athlete themed coffee table book By Nick Mangiapane If you’ve read any LGBT magazines in the past few years, chances are that you’ve seen the photography skills of Rick Day. He has a gift in capturing the beauty of the male figure. His talent has been featured in many high profile publications worldwide. Rick Day has released many coffee table books featuring his photography. The books feature themes such as hot sports players or sexy pioneers. We recently had the chance to hear from him and here is what he had to say.
16 | jumponmarkslist.com
How long have you been doing photography? I have been shooting for about 19 years. I started in Atlanta then moved to Milan, Italy for about a year... then to NYC. I read that you are a self-taught photographer. Is that true? If so, did you find difficulties in going that route? Yes, I am a self taught photographer. I bought a camera after looking through a book by Bruce Weber. I was completely and utterly fascinated by his images and I am still a huge fan of his. He is brilliant. I guess at the time, I wasn’t really looking at photography as a career, but I was shooting anyone that would get in front of my camera. I was not aware fully of the whole fashion business, and by the time I realized that most photographers are either school taught or have assisted other photographers, I was already shooting most of the working models in Atlanta. My chances of assisting a local photographer were bleak. I would recommend to any new photographers to at least assist other photographers. It may not be the most fun, but the learning curve would be much greater. Did you have any photography mentors or rolemodels that helped mold your unique style? Back when I first started shooting, as I mentioned, I had picked up a book by Bruce Weber really by accident. After that, I really started looking at all of the books that were available to me at the local bookstores. I remember loving the beautiful effortless shots by Bruce. I loved loved loved the elegant lines of Herb Ritts. He really was amazing, but the person that influenced my body lighting the most was Victor Skrebneski. His use of lighting on men’s bodies was so beautiful.
Was there a breakthrough moment in your photography career or was it a progressive build? Luckily for me, I have always been a busy photographer and I am a bit of a workaholic. As far as the type of popularity that I seem to have now, I would say started when I began shooting for Genre Magazine. I was also at the time beginning to shoot the original “Players” book. The book and the popularity of internet bloggers really catapulted my images in a way that I was not fully ready for. It was a bit overwhelming. What goes through your mind during a photo shoot? This is a hard question. I try not to plan my shoots in too much detail because I have found the my best pictures were organic in nature, not too planned. I would say that keeping my model comfortable and at ease is probably what I am thinking about the most. How do you interact with your models to make them comfortable during the revealing photo shoots? At this point, most of the models that I am shooting for a book are pretty aware of the images I have shot, so that takes the pressure out of explaining what I want to shoot. I will usually show them an image of what I have in mind, and then we take it from there. I usually try to have the models bring a bit of themselves out in the shoot as well. Tell me about your new book. The new book is “Players Two.” It is a follow up obviously to “Players.” It has been printed in a much larger format. This book, like its predecessor, is full of some of the most beautiful bodies in the world. Trust me. Without the hard work and diligence of the men that I shoot, these books would not live up to the hype. I have to pay respect to the men I shoot and thank them for allowing me to shoot them in this suggestive manner. What is your favorite type of photography to shoot? Weddings.... bah mitzvahs... and forensic crime scenes. I mean, do you really need to ask? ;-) If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be doing? Something awesome I am sure. I have never been someone that was bored or working a job that I did not like. Life is way too short. If you could choose any celebrity for a photo shoot, who would you choose and why? Whichever one has the nicest budget. I love celebrities and always enjoy working with them, but I am not a starstruck photographer. jumponmarkslist.com

Players Two is the sexy follow up to Rick Day’s original Players book. Day has the ability to capture the male figure in such an amazing manner. “I wanted to blur the lines of sexuality with this project. Men and women should be able to turn the pages and loose themselves in beauty and lust,” says Day. One’s coffee table would be lucky to have this book on it. Hunter’s Lodge At Home with Manhunt’s Jonathan Crutchley By Sebastian Reynolds
What began ten years ago in Boston as a telephone dating service called The Tool Line, is now America’s leading web site for men looking to meet other men. Manhunt has more than four million profiles worldwide, with 40,000 new members joining each week. As chairman of Manhunt, co-founder Jonathan Crutchley is the man behind the blue and orange curtain. We sat down with him at his fabulous estate to discuss how he and his business partner Larry Basile first came up with the idea for an online gay dating site; and how, in 10 years, it has changed the way gay men meet other gay men.
o
How did you become the ultimate gay matchmaker? The truth is that I have always been a shy and introverted person, especially when I came out as a gay man, which didn’t happen until I was thirty. Back then, gay bars and discos were the places to go to meet gay men. If you were a good dancer with a gym body and perfect hair, you made friends. I was the guy watching all the others from a dark corner of the room. How did you hook up? It wasn’t until the introduction of telephone chat lines, like the ones founded by my business partner Larry Basile in 1987, that I was able to meet more guys and make friends. On the telephone lines you were just a voice – the rest was unseen, and, until you met someone in person, they were just a fantasy. Fantasy is powerful, and it helped me emerge from my shell. Later, when I partnered with Larry Basile in the telephone chat lines and, after that, the Internet personals business, we perfected the use of fantasy to help men meet each other. Are people surprised to meet the man behind the Manhunt curtain? Yes, the real me is not what people imagine. For twenty five years I sold real estate and wore sport jackets from Brooks Brothers. You wouldn’t find me marching in a pride parade with my shirt off. I’d be watching the parade from the sidelines. How did Manhunt become the leading hook up site for gay men? Larry and I knew that Manhunt’s customers are
24 | jumponmarkslist.com
more than just those who live in gay neighborhoods in big cities and who follow the latest trends and fashions. Our market is much larger than that. It includes bears, leather guys, even married and biguys – whom we guess could be as many as thirty percent of Manhunt users. We always knew that gay men were everywhere, and with Manhunt, guys from Nashville, Tenn., to North Dakota can find each other. There is much more to gay life than Chelsea in New York City or the Castro or West Hollywood. We developed a site that was easy for the average guy to use . How has gay dating changed in ten years? Guys have always been looking for the same things. The web makes it much easier to find exactly what you want. Do you pay attention to the competition? We’d be crazy not to. Manhunt was slow to the mobile game. Why did it take so long for Manhunt to launch its mobile app?
We took our time in development because we decided it best to stick by our old formula of quality as #1. We’ve learned through the years that exceptional quality and service will bring subscribers back and bring new ones onboard. What is Manhunt doing to keep up with mobile trends? It’s not easy. Technology changes at internet speed. But anyone who wants to engage in commerce today must adapt to the latest medium or get left behind. We employ about 28 geeks in our tech department. It’s their job to keep our current system running on the internet and mobile phone and to develop new ways for guys to meet each other.
Do you host naughty parties? I’ll let you use your imagination.
Meanwhile, you get to relax in your home that has been called the gay Playboy mansion. It’s a gay man’s fantasy, or at least this gay man’s fantasy. Someone else may have a different dream.
The home appears to be a shrine to masculinity. Some people say it’s a bit too hyper masculine but I’ve reached the stage in life where I can have the house I want and the life I want without having to worry what people think.
Do you have a grotto? There’s a temple behind the spa and pool. It’s reminiscent of a Roman bath with the statues and the fountains.
What is your favorite room in the house? I would say the oak-paneled library. In the winter, I love to curl up with a book by the fireplace. Did you commission the mural in the entry? The mural was painted on the wall thirty years ago by a previous owner. It shows scenes of Italy, particularly Venice, and Roman ruins. It is in keeping with the style of the house as a Mediterranean villa. How many people does it take to run the house? Mike is my resident manager. He supervises the housekeeper, gardeners, landscapers, and maintenance people. Then, one week every month, we go out to Palm Springs, California, to my other house. Mike runs that home, too. Is this where you hope to retire? Who says I’ll retire? But, if I do, it will be to an apartment in New York City. Where do you see yourself living in your next chapter of life? I lived in my last home for twenty six years. I’ve only been here for four years. I have a lot more story to live in this house before I’m ready to end this chapter. YouTube Saved the Video Star By Matthew Blanco
There was a time fans tuned to MTV to watch music videos. But these days MTV’s airwaves are dedicated to reality shows documenting the lives of pregnant teens (Teen Mom) and partying guidos (Jersey Shore). The fate of the music video appeared to be going the way of the VCR and cd player, but then the internet threw in a life-saving tube for the music video. You guessed it – YouTube. The popular video sharing site is proving to be more democratic than MTV ever was, allowing not only big label artists to showcase their video creations, but indie artists too. Here are some of our favorites hitting the Tube this month.
o
“All About Sex” – Sariah
What is the main idea in the video? That power, sex, and love games all mix in the world of the Queen of Hearts. What are fans responding to most? The sexy men. Any fun stories to share from the set? Lots but I can’t say! Video sets are like Vegas. What happens on set stays on set! Has MTV killed the video star? Cancelling TRL was the final nail in the coffin. I miss that show! How has YouTube revitalized the music video? Not only do fans get to see any video at any time they want, they can make their own parodies and broadcast it all over the world. I also love that right after a live show, I can upload footage and get immediate reaction from all my hearts.
“Can I Love You More” – Tony Moran
What is the main idea in your music video? That DJ’s are distinctive and vital in the dance music world. What are fans responding to most? They get to see the DJ close up rather than from afar, on a pedestal with lasers shooting out his ass. Has MTV killed the video star? Without MTV, there would be no YouTube. Youtube is the next evolutionary step. Any fun stories to share from the set? For one scene that called for me portraying an artist breaking out of a cocoon, I had to dress in tape, naked, while it was 10 degrees outside and lay flat on a wet floor in China town. What I won’t do for the sake of art and the love of my craft.

“Taste the Night” Dalal
What is the main idea in your music video? Once we go beyond the physical, we are attracted by the emotional.
Japan earthquake and tsunami hit. We were in Los Angeles but weren’t sure we should be shooting on the beach!
What are fans responding to most? The summer sweat and good vibes.
Has MTV killed the video star? Sadly, MTV has gone reality but YouTube has opened new doors to artistic freedom. Today, anyone can make a music video and broadcast it all over the world.
Any fun stories to share from the set? The music video was shot on the morning the
“Fetish” – Faith Michaels
What is the main idea in your music video? Fetishes and the people who love them.
of the day. There use to be a channel that played music videos. What was it again? M.... I can’t remember.
What are fans responding to most? The big bear driving me in the motorcycle costume. Any fun stories to share from the set? The final day of shooting, my foot fetish guy was a no show. The script called for a man to be under a poker table with guys resting their feet on his face while they played cards. So, of course, I slipped out my dress, pulled off my wig and went under the table. Has YouTube helped revitalize the music video? Finally, videos are available at the click of a button. East Coast Modernism Miami and NYC hotels take center stage in contemporary hotel design trends
o Dream South Beach
Earlier this month, South Beach woke up to some new, fabulous crash pads. The Collins Ave. newbie, Dream South Beach (www. dreamsouthbeach.com; 305.673.4747), merges sexiness, eclectic modernism, historic preservation and a bit of South Beach big pimpin’ smack in the center of beach’s renowned party zone. Dream delivers the full throttle “scene-y” beach hotel experience within two sensationally refurbished, archetypal Art Deco buildings, and has quickly gained status as the beach’s latest “it” hotel. Given the size constraints of the original 1939 Art Deco building, the rooms are primarily boutique-sized. But the Dream team has worked magic on the interiors, instituting meticulous design details that include colored bed lighting for a trippy fantasia atmosphere, glass closets, dramatic chandeliers in every room and warm hardwood floors. These seductive rooms are indeed made for friends (or the right couple) searching for fast times in America’s sexiest city. They’re perfect for pre- and post-parties, getting your freak on,
58 | jumponmarkslist.com
and mentally escaping everything familiar. In total, Dream is the key element of the quintessential South Beach equation (brag-worthy hotel + perfect tan + awesome eats and cocktails + wild nights + extreme hangovers = amazing memories). Given its ideal location on Collins Ave. and 11th Street, the silky sands, ocean blues and bulging Speedos of Florida’s most prolific gay beach are just a block away. Of course, when the Speedo scene becomes too overwhelming, you can bronze your bod on the hotel’s beach chairs at Dream’s designated slice of sugarloaf coastline. Naturally, this coolio hotel provides complimentary beach gear “to go,” available at front desk, like towels and sun lotion. And if you choose (and at many points, you will), you can simply chill at the Palm Springs inspired roof top pool. The crowd is easy on the eyes to say the least, and there’s ample pool and lounge space for sun, fun and splashing. When hunger calls during breakfast, lunch, dinner, rooftop or poolside, the Tudor House, Geoffery Zakarian’s latest trendsetting eatery, is always
at your disposal. And, trust me, you’ll become obsessed with the homemade Oreos and the buttered popcorn milkshakes!
Gansevoort Park Avenue
One year after making headlines as Park Avenue’s divine debutant, the Gansevoort Park Avenue (www.gansevoortpark.com, 877.830.9889) is still queen of midtown east. Strikingly different from its Meatpacking counterpart, the Gansevoort Park Avenue boasts some of the city’s biggest crash pads, furnished to the contemporary nines with some classic jaw-dropping views of the NYC skyline. Since the original Gansevoort redefined the NYC rooftop experience with its trendsetting pool set-up circa 2006, it was only natural for the Gansevoort Park Avenue to take the rooftop experience to the next level five years later. The hook: a pioneering tri-level rooftop extravaganza with sensational views of the Empire State building, insane, glass bottom floors that project over Park Avenue, and the city’s only combination indoor-outdoor heated pool. But the hotel doesn’t just push the envelope
of architecture and design with this new breed of tri-level rooftop experience. The rooms and other common spaces are sheer modern luxury, too. The dramatic floor to ceilings windows lend to the vertical rapture every NYC visitor longs for. Furnishings are funky and colorful without overpowering the room’s hipster sophisticate essence. Erotic photography on the room walls ramps up the hotel’s sexy factor, as does the sexually charged mosaic lining the pool floor and the bar’s handsome wait staff. What’s more is that the service level stands on par with the city’s exalted five star properties – something you don’t often find in New York’s younger, trendier hotels. With its central location between uptown and downtown, and east and west sides, the most important locales in the city are a mere short walk or subway ride away. Gayborhoods, haute cuisine, NYC carb comas (hello bagels, pizza and black and white cookies), trendy watering holes and Broadway shows … the best of NYC is just around the corner. fitness By Tom Bonanti Dining Out or “Pigging Out”? Healthy Pointers for Eating Out Whether you are searching for the right career, scoping out a new place to live or on the make for a new boyfriend, life is all about making right choices. Building your body also requires you to make key decisions. Finding the right gym, making the time to workout and varying your routines all require proper planning. While these are crucial factors, it’s your nutritional choices that will make or break you. As every fitness enthusiast knows, eating “right” requires knowledge, preparation and planning. Certainly the best nutritional strategy is to shop for and prepare your own healthy meals, consisting of good clean organic foods. There is nothing better than a diet consisting of complex, low-glycemic index carbohydrates, lean fresh protein sources and very low amounts of poly-unsaturated fat. While the above plan is a surefire method for success, the reality is, most of us spend a lot of time eating out or eating on the run in restaurants and fast food joints. A few visits to these places every week will pile on the pounds in no time! Here are a few pointers about healthy restaurant eating that can keep you lean and on track with your fitness goals. Breakfast or brunch on the weekend with friends can be a pleasure. But in one sitting you can literally consume your daily calorie requirements of fats and carbs. Ask for egg beaters when ordering. Avoid bagels and Danish and opt instead for an English muffin or a couple of pieces of whole grain toast. Try unbuttered grits with a little fresh salsa instead of hash browns. And if you have to have bacon or sausage, try not to go overboard. The salt and fat from these processed meats are killers in more ways than one. Grabbing a sandwich for lunch sounds so simple and light doesn’t it? Yet, it’s not just the burgers that are lethal; those deli sandwiches can be just as deadly to your diet. Between those slices of bread lurk some serious calorie pitfalls like mayo, salad dressing, several servings of salty cold cuts and loads of fattening cheese. Choose whole-grain breads or, better yet, a wrap and grilled chicken instead of ham, roast beef, tuna or chicken salad. Order sandwiches dry or with mustard, and instead of cheese, pile on the veggies. Order only half a sandwich and ask for a simple green salad on the
o
62 | jumponmarkslist.com
side to help fill you up. You don’t have to avoid pasta at your favorite Italian eatery, but do request a half portion and you’ll save hundreds of calories. Eat pasta earlier in the day so that the carbs fuel the rest of the day’s activities. If it’s available, choose a healthy whole-wheat pasta or spinach pasta for a more fiber-rich dish and pair it with a lean protein grilled portion of chicken or fish. Avoid dishes like ravioli, manicotti and lasagna, where the calorie-dense cheeses will do you in. Order marinara sauce verses high fat choices like alfredo, vodka or Bolognese. Deep six the bread sticks and opt for a green salad or healthy minestrone soup for an appetizer. Sushi is a healthy choice when dining out. Broiled fish, steamed veggies, edamame and tuna, yellowtail and salmon sashimi are all tasty and light Japanese fare. But unless you want to look like a sumo wrestler, steer clear of tempura and agemono, which indicate deep-fried. Avoid sushi rolls made with cream cheese and excess avocado. The time you choose to put into your workouts is crucial. Yet it’s what you put into your mouth that will make or break your physique. Dining out doesn’t have to mean pigging out. Tom Bonanti is a certified personal trainer and owner of Punp’n Inc Gym at 1271 NE 9th Ave, Fort Lauderdale. For more tips on healthy choices contact TrainerTomB@aol.com!

Thinking of Investing? Here is what two of our clients had to say about their experience: As UK nationals new to Florida, it was crucial that we find a realtor we could trust implicitly, who actually listened to what we said, understood our needs and had a deep knowledge of the market. Rick definitely surpassed our expectations on all points and had a comprehensive understanding of the South Florida market, from apartments in the downtown area and Victoria Park to homes in Coral Ridge. He also had a good insight into the less expensive investment areas. He was completely dedicated and saw us through each and every challenge along the way always taking time to hear our concerns and deal with them. He always took our calls – so important when you are buying at such great distances – and was the complete professional. I cannot recommend Rick too highly; if you are going to buy somewhere in South Florida he should definitely be your first call. - Richard and Christopher, 2010
