Bowmen Basketball Academy

This class is all about fundamentals. Ball handling, passing, and shooting basics are taught in this fun training class. The goal is to excite young players about the game of basketball. Youth Soccer

The “all ball” approach will foster skill improvement and build player confidence. Players will learn to solidify skills such as dribbling, passing, trapping, receiving, juggling, and accurate shooting in a supportive team environment. Chess

Chess instruction for beginner to intermediate level players, utilizing a year-round curriculum which includes lessons for brand new beginners as well as more advanced players. All students are taught on their level. Classes are structured with a combination of individual and group lessons, and practice time. Ballet & Tap

Students develop rhythm, poise, and coordination while learning the fundamentals of ballet and tap. Children will also develop rhythm and music appreciation skills. Please have dancers wear a leotard, tights, and bring both ballet shoes and tap shoes in a dance bag or backpack. Babysitter’s Training

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course is to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care to children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. Red Tiger Karate - Juniors

This white through black belt program teaches American Karate as well as anti-abduction and bully self-defense. The curriculum is designed to help students develop self-esteem, positive behavior, respect for others, and encourages academic achievement. Superhero Programming

An introduction to coding and robotics by creating animations, games, music, and videos of superheroes. Students will develop into logical thinkers, problem solvers, and creators though imaginative coding projects using Scratch. Students will collaborate and share projects online with real-time coding using the Micro:bit, a mini robot. Groups will be divided by age and skill level. No prior coding experience needed. Creative Robotics & Engineering

Students in this class will focus on engineering, physical science, technology, mathematics, and language projects. LegoWedo Kits, Hummingbird Kits, and a Micro:bit programmable micro-computer will be used to unleash their creativity to craft robots and animate them by using both block and text-based coding languages. Students will use VEXcode VR to code a virtual robot, which will teach them about project flow, loops, conditionals, and algorithms. Groups will be divided by age and skill level.
