SLC 8000 is an out-of-band console manager that consolidates the hardware and software needed to control, monitor and manage networking and IT infrastructure.

The SLC 8000 is available in two versions, Dual 1 Gb Ethernet or Dual 1 Gb SFP. SLC 8000 can manage any IT asset by connecting the asset’s console port (Serial or USB) to the RS232 Serial or USB I/O module ports.

SLC 8000 can be configured from 8 ports up to 48 ports and allows for a mix of Serial and USB modules for flexibility.

Pay as you grow and purchase extra modules as needed to scale with your network, or when connectivity interfaces change without an infrastructure overhaul.

The SLC 8000 enables Network and IT Administrators to interact via the Command Line Interface (CLI) or Web User Interface (UI), making it easy to perform everyday tasks like (re) configuring, uploading firmware or rebooting.

SLC8000 provides security features such as SSL and SSH for data encryption in addition to remote authentication, via TACACS+, Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos or RADIUS. For added protection, SLC 8000 also includes firewall features to reject connection attempts or block ports and has NISTcertified AES encryption.

The SLC 8000 is also FIPS 140-2 compliant for government and military applications.

Hello and welcome to the configuration options for the SLC8000. We are always helping our clients find the right solution that helps them save time and money!

And that’s why we like the SLC8000, it has lots of options when it comes to its configuration. With it’s RJ45 and USB connectivity and user swappable I/O modules, upgrading, scaling or even mixing configurations is really easy.

But even with all of this added flexibility, we like to keep it simple, so we hold 3 base models in our local inventory.

We stock the 16, 32 and 48 port - RJ45 modules with dual power supply - we don’t see the point of having a single power supply that creates a single point of failure - that kind of defeats the purpose. If we do not have the exact combination that you require in our UK inventory, that’s not a problem because we are always receiving deliveries from Lantronix, allowing us to simply add your new specification to our orders and book in a speedy delivery.
