... the fast connection between Tarifa and Tangier Since 2000, FRS Iberia and FRS Maroc have been operating year-round fast ferry sailings across the Strait of Gibraltar between Spain and Morocco. The main FRS route between Tarifa (Spain) and the buzzing port of Tangier (Morocco) is the shortest seaway between the two continents and takes a mere 35 minutes. In addition, FRS also connects Tangier with the ports of Algeciras and Gibraltar. With its modern high-speed ferries, FRS has become the market leader for passenger and car crossings to and from Tangier. With this new route, FRS Iberia continues to expand its position as market leader. FRS is also the only ferry operator that serves all ports on the Strait of Gibraltar. Altogether five comfortable and state-of-the-art jumbo catamarans operate in this region.

MF ”SyltExpress“

... a route between Rømø and Sylt A ferry crossing has been in existence here since 1963: connecting List on the island of Sylt with the Danish Havneby on neighbouring Rømø, connected to the mainland via a road dam. The crossing became part of the FRS Group in 1979. In 2005, the Rømø-Sylt Line (RSL) deployed a new modern double-ended ferry on this route, the MF ”SyltExpress”. This vessel, which is particularly suited to carrying vehicles of all kinds, strengthens not only RSL’s year-round supply service for Sylt, but offers tourists the unique maritime experience of arriving and departing via the sea. On this line, which is extremely popular with day tourists, around 400,000 passengers are moved every year, together with 100,000 vehicles.

...FRS Helgoline has got it covered FRS Helgoline has serviced the connection with Germany’s only offshore island since 1984. It is the only carrier offering a choice between a classic maritime vessel and a fast, modern highspeed catamaran. From May to September, tourists can travel daily on the classic tourist steamer ”Atlantis” between Cuxhaven and car-free Heligoland, where it is tradition for small open boats (”Börteboote”) to shuttle passengers from the anchoring site to dry land. The catamaran “Halunder Jet” connects Hamburg, Wedel and Cuxhaven with the island’s port every day between April and October. Heligoland offers guests spectacular nature and high quality tax-free goods. FRS Helgoline is the market leader with 165,000 passengers. g Heligoland

...from the shipping companies with choice For the last 50 years, Stralsund-based company Weiße Flotte has been operating day-trip and ferry services in the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern together with its subsidiary Reederei Hiddensee. Modern passenger vessels of the ”Bodden-kreuzer” type, a cargo ferry as well as fast water taxis make up the fleet that connects the island of Hiddensee with the island of Rügen all year round. During the summer months, the timetable is supplemented with sailings from Stralsund, Wiek and Zingst. New or modernised passenger/car vessels are deployed for ferry services in Warnemünde (Hohe Düne), Wittower Fähre (Rügen) and Stahlbrode - Glewitz (Rügen). A large programme of harbour trips rounds off the products on offer. Together, Weiße Flotte and Reederei Hiddensee carry 3.3 million passengers and 920.000 vehicles.
