sbury Park has become the hottest new destination for gays and lesbians looking for a great summer weekend getaway at the beach or a charming Victorian downtown shopping district anytime of year. Just 45 miles south of NYC are the best beaches and one of the most gay friendly communities on the east coast. Its fine Victorian homes, wide avenues and mile long boardwalk fascinate the large crowds that visit during the summer. Now rainbow flags fly from just about every fifth residence. Like Miami Beach before it, this once grand resort town is being resurrected by a pioneering band of gay men and lesbians. Each season brings a new influx of gays and lesbians to Sand Blast Weekend, planned for July 19-21, 2013 and July 18-20, 2014. Packed with top DJs and fun events including pool parties, nighttime dance events, art walks, surfing lessons, beach volley ball, burlesque shows and their signature party The Dance On The Beach, Sand Blast Weekend is the gay summer celebration you'll fall in love with and want to bring your friends to year after year. This summer's Beach Party promises to be the biggest yet with over 2,000 men & women dancing on Sunset Beach all afternoon to the music of Hector Fonseca and the legendary Tony Moran. The annual road trip to Asbury Park has been incredibly successful in putting it on the gay map and introducing a new generation of men and women to this City By The Sea where they can be who they are. Make your summer beach weekend a BLAST and come for the fun, sun and friends for three hot days & nights on the Jersey Shore!
