The Durbar Hall, that conducts different evenets of the city, is near to the Eranakulathappan temple. An exhibition of Mural Paintings, Varnonmeelanam, by artist Sarans Guruvayoor and his students is taking place in the Durbal Hall. Sarans Guruvayur is a mural artist from Guruvayur who has conducted different painting exhibitions all over India. Varnonmeelanam conducted here is the second edition of its kind by Sarans Guruvayur and group. Communal harmony is the theme of Varnonmeelanam at Durbar Hall.
A jam packed stadium with frenzied fans rooting for their team will turn the stadium into a riot of colours. As a hattrick of victories beckon the confident home team, Chennai Rhinos may have to brace themselves for a stern test. Two last gasp victories must have prompted the Kerala Strikers for some introspection as to where the corrections and improvements have to be made. Roasted Tomato and Garlic Tart Ingredients 1 small head cauliflower, cored and sliced 2 tablespoon olive oil ¼ pepper 12 ounces of medium shells or other short pasta 1 pint of grape tomatoes 3 ounces of pepperoni thinly sliced 1/2 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsleyPreparation Heat oven to 425 degrees F on a large rimmed baking sheet and into it pour olive oil and then put the cauliflower. Add a teaspoon of salt and pepper and continue tossing the cauliflower. Roast it for 12 minutes, meanwhile, cook the pasta and drain it.
Add tomatoes to it and toss them and roast for 6 minutes more. Scatter the pepperoni over the vegetables and roast until the cauliflower is golden brown and tender. This may take 6 to 8 minutes or slightly more. Then toss the pasta with the cauliflower mixture and parsley and serve it with hot with slices of toasted garlic buttered French bread.

Kerala Strikes Gold It was yet another brilliant performance by the Kerala Strikers on last Saturday (February 1), against their match with Veer Marathis. Kerala Strikers battled to get yet another terrific victory and repeats their success. Yes, the whole stadium was filled with crowd to see the match between the Kerala Strikers and Veer Marathis. The match, which was held in Dubai, was indeed a treat for all the Kerala audience.The Veer Marathis batted first and struggled to get a score of 124 runs from 20 overs. An outstanding performance was shown by the Kerala Strikers’ bowlers that the Veer Marathis found it very challenging to reach a good target. Kerala Strikers stared off quite well. Rajeev Pillai, who was the opener this time, gave a bashing performance this time. He was injured in the previous match. Rajeev managed to get 41 runs of 37 balls, thus keeping Kerala Strikers onto a safer side. Things began to change when the wickets began to fall. A huge pressure surrounded when Kerala Strikers were in their last over. Seven runs were needed to win in the last over. Ritesh Deshmukh was the bowler then. The match was moving when Kerala needed 6 runs from 4 balls. With so much of pressure, the Kerala Strikers’ batsman Sleeba managed to get a boundary, and thus Kerala Strikers repeats their success, winning by 3 wickets against Veer Marathis. Actress Bhavana will do an important cameo role in the movie ‘Koothara’. According to reports, Bhavana has already joined the Koothara crew for the shoots. ‘Medulla Oblongata’ is the story of four friends - Chandu, Appachen, Sitaramayyer, Manikantan. Chandu and Appachen work as Accountants in the same company. Sitaramayyer is their childhood friend and Manikantan is their neighbor. The marriage of Chandu is fixed with his lover Nidhi Patel. Nidhi’s family is basically from Gujarat, but now they are settled in Kerala. In the run up to marriage, Chandu comes across a problem and the resulting events are humorously told in ‘Medulla Oblongata’. Rahul Madhav, Saiju Kurup, Arjun Nandakumar and Rakendu Kumar are the four friends. Havana does the role of Nidhi Patel. Nandu, Ambika, Murali Menon, and Balaji also do important characters. ‘Medulla Oblongata’ is directed by Suresh Nair. The movie is scripted by Anil Raj and Suresh Nair. Nidhin Prabhakar is the cameraman.
Rajan Pilla (Atul Kulkarni) is an underworld don in Mumbai. He is basically from Palaghat. He is married and has a son. Sub Inspector Menon (Sreenivasan) is an ordinary police officer who wreaks havoc in the lives of the dons. He is a very dedicated officer who cannot be bribed. Biju Bhasker in ‘@ Andheri’ plots the emotional bonding between them. Vishnu James and Binish Kodiyeri do the roles of Pappan and Appu respectively. Menon is very much concerned about the family of his colleague who has been murdered while on duty. Menon shares a good emotional relationship with the two sons of his colleague. The elder of them Pappan is a taxi driver who is married and has a child. The younger one Appu is jobless. He is ready to do any job that he gets.
