I share these truths with all of my new sewing students. Without the right tools or mindset, learning a new skill can be intimidating. But you’re on the right track! With this pattern collection, you’ll build your sewing skills while creating the foundations of a fun wardrobe. Start with a few garment-sewing basics. Then, as you work your way through the projects, you’ll learn basic seaming, hemming, working with seam allowance, creating a basic casing and so much more. You’ll also have a fabulous little capsule! These six beginner-friendly patterns were designed to coordinate well and be useful pieces in your wardrobe. Use the Drawstring Lounge Shorts, Plata Jacket, Pick Pocket Skirt, Easy as Tie Dress, Antero Tank and All Tied up Tote patterns to learn a range of skills and work with various fabric types. Each pattern, depending on your fabric choice, can be made for simple, casual wear or elevated for a special occasion. This beginner pattern collection is perfect for the intermediate or advanced sewists as well. Use them as the base for your next amazing hack.
