El verano comienza y con él, una de las fiestas más esperadas del año. Las fiestas del Orgullo LGTBI dan el pistoletazo de salida y este año se pone en el punto de mira el 50º aniversario de los disturbios de StoneWall, acontecimiento que marcó el inicio de las reivindicaciones de este colectivo. Este año, el lema es “Mayores sin armarios: ¡Historia, lucha y memoria!" y la encargada de dar el pregón Mónica Naranjo. Chueca, Malasaña, el Barrio de las Letras y Lavapiés se llenan de color, banderas y actividades desde el día 28 de junio, pero el acto central y más esperado es la manifestación estatal Orgullo LGTBI que tiene lugar el 6 de julio y se inicia en Atocha. Como cada año, el centro se llena de carrozas y música en un ambiente reivindicativo con el fin de conseguir abrir una puerta hacia la diversidad. FIELES A NUESTROS VALORES ORIGINARIOS En 1994 un grupo de profesionales fundó en Guadalajara una pequeña compañía de repertorio, Ultramarinos de Lucas, con la intención de crear un proyecto estable de investigación en las artes escénicas, movidos por la pasión, sin imponerse ningún límite, sin prejuicios. Les avala la formación en prestigiosos centros como La École International de Jacques Lecoq de París, o el Teatro de La Abadía en Madrid. En 2015 obtienen el Premio Nacional de Artes Escénicas para la Infancia y la Juventud, destacando su compromiso social y artístico y ahora, 25 años después, celebran este aniversario tan especial manteniéndose fieles a su discurso y valores originarios. Jorge Padín, uno de sus fundadores dice: «Somos un grupo de imprudentes que persistimos al cabo de los años, empeñados en hacer teatro como lo hacíamos cuando empezamos: sin prejuicios, con entusiasmo, con pasión, trabajando juntos. Hemos creado más de una veintena de espectáculos que hemos mostrado en todo el territorio nacional y en un buen número de países, participando en todo tipo de festivales y ferias». La Sala Cuarta Pared, que comparte con esta compañía valores como la pasión, la humildad y la generosidad, se suma a la celebración de este aniversario y ha preparado un ciclo especial de Ultramarinos de Lucas todo el mes de junio, del 6 al 22, con tres espectáculos simultáneos en cartel, Nada (jueves 21h) y un doblete de Shakespeare los viernes y sábados con: Romeo y Julieta (19h) seguido de El rey Lear (21h).

In 1994 a group of professionals in Guadalajara founded a small theatre company, Ultramarinos de Lucas, with a view to creating an on-going performing arts project, inspired by passion and without imposing any limits, or preconceptions. They boasted training at prestigious institutions, like Jacques Lecoq's École International in Paris, and the Teatro de la Abadía in Madrid. In 2015 they won a National Performing Arts Award for Children and Youth for their notable social and artistic commitment. Now, 25 years later, they are celebrating this special anniversary by remaining faithful to their original language and values. Jorge Padín, one of its founders says: "We are a group of imprudent people who persist over the years, determined to do theatre just like we did when we started: without preconceptions, with enthusiasm, with passion, working together. We have created more than twenty shows, which we have performed throughout Spain, and in a good number of countries, participating in all kinds of festivals and fairs. La Sala Cuarta Pared, which shares with this company values such as passion, humility and generosity, joins in on the celebration of this anniversary and has prepared a special Ultramarinos Lucas series to run throughout the month of June, from 6 to 22, with three simultaneous shows on the bill: Nada (Thursday at 9 pm) and a doubleheader of Shakespeare on Fridays and Saturdays, with: Romeo and Juliet (7 pm) followed by King Lear (9 pm).

La actuación comienza con los artistas disfrazados de monjes y bajando por la platea al ritmo de un We will rock you con estilo eclesiástico. Manuel Bartolí, joven vocalista, es el encargado de reencarnar a un alocado Mercury junto a Enrique Sequero, veterano en musicales, quien da vida a un sumo sacerdote y maestro de ceremonias. Los números se suceden alternando himnos, baladas y temas rockeros acompañados de música en directo y un elenco de bailarines que provoca pensar que estamos ante un concierto en vez de en una obra teatral. The Yllana company brings a show to Madrid that engages audiences, featuring dazzling staging, live music, and loads of fun: the We Love Queen musical. To the beat of hit songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, The Show Must Go On, and the bubbly Don't Stop Me Now, the Teatro La Latina put this legendary group back in the limelight with a tribute to its legendary frontman: Freddy Mercury The musical, coming to the capital for the first time, premiered on June 5, and may be enjoyed until the 23rd of this month. The performance begins with the band disguised as monks, walking down the aisle to the sounds of We Will Rock You, ecclesiastical style. The young vocalist Manuel Bartolí is charged with reincarnating a crazy Mercury, along with Enrique Sequero, a veteran in musicals, who plays a high priest and Master of Ceremonies. The numbers alternate between hymns, ballads and rock songs accompanied by live music and a troop of dancers that make for a show that is more concert than play. We Love Queen, which has already been staged in other cities, has received rave reviews from major platforms in the world of Entertainment and Communications. Lo Mejor de Yllana es un desternillante show que vio la luz en 2016 con motivo de la conmemoración de los veinticinco años que cumplía esta jocosa compañía. Lo Mejor de Yllana (The Best of Yllana) is a hilarious show that came about in 2016 on the occasion of the comedy company's 25th anniversary. Yllana and its relationship with shows goes way back, but its forte has always been physical comedy. Yllana means creativity, and has remained faithful to this trademark ever since 1991, when it was founded as a comedy company. Although it has since then diversified its activity, also getting involved in the world of the scenic and audiovisual arts, its shows have been performed more than 12,000 times, in 44 countries, and have been seen by more than 3,000,000 spectators. BALENCIAGA Y LA PINTURA ESPAÑOLA *un recorrido por la historia del arte

El Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza presenta una exposición que vincula la creación de Cristóbal Balenciaga, el diseñador de moda más admirado e influyente de todos los tiempos, con la tradición de la pintura española de los siglos XVI al XX. Del 18 de junio al 22 de septiembre se podrá disfrutar de la primera gran retrospectiva dedicada al modisto vasco que se presenta en Madrid tras casi 50 años y la primera que reúne, junto a sus diseños, una selección de cuadros de grandes nombres de la historia del arte español, una de sus principales fuentes de inspiración. La muestra está comisariada por Eloy Martínez de la Pera, quien ha seleccionado un total de noventa piezas de indumentaria procedentes del Museo del Traje de Madrid y el Museo del Disseny de Barcelona. En cuanto a la pintura, ha recopilado un conjunto de cincuenta y cinco cuadros, entre los que destacan obras de El Greco, Velázquez, Murillo, Carreño de Miranda, Zurbarán, Goya, Madrazo o Zuloaga provenientes en su mayoría de colecciones privadas como las Fundaciones BBVA, Santander y Casa de Alba. The Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum presents an exhibition connecting the creations of Cristóbal Balenciaga, the most admired and influential fashion designer of all time, with the tradition of Spanish painting from the 16th to the 20th centuries. From June 18 to September 22 one can enjoy the first great retrospective dedicated to the Basque fashion designer, presented in Madrid after almost 50 years after his passing, and the first to feature, along with his designs, a selection of paintings by great names in the history of Spanish Art, one of his main sources of inspiration. The exhibition is curated by Eloy Martínez de la Pera, who has selected a total of 90 pieces of clothing from the Museo del Traje de Madrid and Barcelona's Disseny Museum. As for the paintings, a set of 55 have been compiled, including works by El Greco, Velázquez, Murillo, Carreño de Miranda, Zurbarán, Goya, Madrazo and Zuloaga, mostly from private collections, such as the BBVA, Santander and Casa de Alba foundations. El restaurante Bodega de los Secretos está situado en la bodega más antigua del centro de Madrid. En los últimos años fue restaurada minuciosamente hasta convertirla en lo que es hoy: un restaurante con un ambiente característico para pasar en él comidas y veladas de ensueño. XXII CAMPUS LA CIMA DEL BALONCESTO

El Centro de Alto Rendimiento Deportivo de Sierra Nevada da inicio al vigésimo segundo Campus Movistar Estudiantes “La Cima del Baloncesto” a partir del 1 de julio. Este año, las actividades están enfocadas en el perfeccionamiento de la técnica individual y colectiva buscando mejorar las habilidades de los más jóvenes. Los jugadores y jugadoras aprenderán a dominar las situaciones 1x1, perfeccionando el bote, pase y tiro en una técnica individual. Tras practicar los fundamentos individuales, todos los recursos se ponen en práctica en un ambiente colectivo. Los jóvenes estudiarán situaciones de ocupación de espacios, penetración, dobles, pases y cortes dependiendo de la edad y del nivel del participante. El campamento está dividido en dos turnos que se prolongan durante el mes de julio. Del día 1 al 12 tendrá lugar el primero, iniciándose el segundo desde el 15 de julio hasta el 26 del mismo mes. Los jóvenes de entre 8 y 17 años podrán disfrutar en este emplazamiento situado a 2.230 metros de altura, considerado como el único centro de entrenamiento de altura en España. Cuenta con más de diez campos de baloncesto y minibasket cubiertos y descubiertos, un campo reglamentario de hierba y varias pistas de atletismo. Al finalizar el campus se hace entrega de un informe técnicotáctico individual acompañado de un diploma de asistencia.

The Sierra Nevada High Performance Sports Center kicks off the 22nd Campus Movistar Estudiantes "La Cima del Baloncesto" (The Peak of Basketball) on July 1. This year the activities are focused on improving individual and team technique, seeking to hone the kids' hoops skills. Players will learn to master 1 on 1 situations, perfecting their dribbling, passing and shooting through proper technique. After practicing the basics, all these skills are put into practice in a team environment. Young people will study occupying spaces, penetration, passes, and drives, all depending on their age and level. The camp is divided into two sessions, running throughout the month of July; from day 1 to 12 the first will take place, the second spanning July 15 - 26. Young people ages 8 to 17 will be able to enjoy this site, up at 2,230-meters, considered the only highaltitude training center in Spain. It boasts more than ten basketball and mini-basket courts, indoor and outdoor, and track and field facilities. At the end of the campus an individual technical/ tactical report will be issued, along with an attendance certificate.

FESTIVAL LA MAR DE MÚSICAS *Edición Especial Portugal El festival de Cartagena, La Mar de Músicas, cumple 25 años. Este año se ha organizado una edición especial con Portugal como invitado, sumando catorce bandas que mostrarán la mentalidad más tradicional, más abierta y más mestiza de nuestro país vecino. Del 19 al 27 de julio se dan cita en la ciudad cartaginense cuarenta y tres grupos venidos de diferentes puntos del planeta. Entre ellos están Olafur Arnalds, Salif Keita, Amaia, Toquinho, Silvia Pérez Cruz, Niño de Elche, Mayra Andrade, Mon Laferte y muchos más. La música hecha por mujeres seguirá teniendo un peso muy destacado en la programación con un cuarenta por ciento de los grupos liderados por ellas. Mariza y Ana Moura, Joana Vasconcelos, Luisa Sobral, Lorena Álvarez, Pascuala Libaca y María de Medeiros estarán presentes. Lisboa se ha convertido en una de las grandes capitales del mestizaje musical, por ello La Mar de Músicas apuesta por celebrar la diversidad con los conciertos de Pongo, Mayra Andrade y Dino D´Santiafo, quienes son creadores de estilos de música muy personales. Especial atención al portugués Conan Osíris, elegido por algunos medios de comunicación como el artista revelación de 2018. La música hecha en España ocupará también gran parte de la programación. Uno de highlights tendrá lugar en la clausura, con una noche dedicada a la familia Morente. Deleitarán al público Estrella, Soleá y Kiki Morente. El jazz también tiene un hueco dentro del festival. Kamasi Washington, la banda Snarky Puppy y el creador del ethio-jazz, Malatu Astake, amenizarán las noches con su peculiar toque africano.

Cartagena's music festival, La Mar de Músicas, is turning 25. This year a special edition has been organised, with Portugal as the guest country, booking fourteen bands that will show off our neighbours’ most open and hybridfriendly mentality. From 19 to 27 July 43 groups from different parts of the world converge in the city of Cartagena, including Olafur Arnalds, Salif Keita, Amaia, Toquinho, Silvia Pérez Cruz, Niño de Elche, Mayra Andrade, Mon Laferte and many more. Bermeo es el nuevo pueblo costero encargado de acoger la quinta edición del renombrado Bay of Biscay Festival. Los artistas invitados, la gastronomía local y la excepcional costa vizcaína componen el ADN de este festival que abarca, este año, un entorno más amplio y una mayor proyección internacional. Mundaka Festival evoluciona a Bay of Biscay Festival. Del 26 al 28 de julio se dan cita grupos y artistas del marco nacional e internacional como Anita Parker, James Room & Weird Antiqua, Dekot, Zona Cero, Ángel Stanich, The Mani-Las, Backyard Babies o Sex Museum entre muchos más artistas confirmados. El Parque Lamera es el encargado de acoger a los visitantes que quieran disfrutar de la exquisita programación gastronómica que presenta el festival de la costa vasca. Degustaciones, catas, venta, exhibición de productos y, sobre todo showcookings de la mano de los mejores chefs. Este año es la edición con más estrellas Michelin. Andoni Luis Aduriz, Xavier Gutiérrez del restaurante Arzkaz o el televisivo Ander González estarán presentes. Entre las novedades hay un protocolo antiviolencia con el fin de mantener un festival libre de agresiones, violencia y acoso. En materia de transporte se vuelve a habilitar el servicio de autobús ampliando rutas y horarios. Contará además con el Glamping, un nuevo formato de camping que permite el alojamiento a escasos metros del festival. Se mantiene también Biscaykids, programa de actividades gastro-musicales para los más pequeños. En esta edición, los organizadores mantienen su labor de minimizar los impactos negativos que sufre el medio ambiente en este tipo de eventos. Es por ello que, promueven la reutilización de vasos, el uso adecuado de los diferentes contenedores o el uso de transporte público.

Bermeo is the new coastal town slated to host the fifth edition of the renowned Bay of Biscay Festival. The artists invited, the local cuisine, and the exceptional coast of Biscay comprise the DNA of this festival that, this year, will feature a wider range of venues and enhanced international exposure. The Mundaka Festival is now the Bay of Biscay Festival. From July 26 to 28 groups and artists, both national and international, will be on hand, with names like Anita Parker, James Room & Weird Antiqua, Dekot, Zona Zero, Angel Stanich, The Mani-Las, Backyard Babies and Sex Museum, among many more. Lamera Park will be the place to be for visitors who want to enjoy the exquisite gastronomic programme presented by the festival on the Basque coast. As for transport, a bus service will be set up again, with routes and schedules being expanded. 39º FESTIVAL DE LA GUITARRA DE CÓRDOBA *la ciudad andaluza calienta acordes

Un año más, el Festival de Guitarra de Córdoba se da cita en la ciudad andaluza del 4 al 13 de julio. Considerado como uno de los Festivales de guitarra más importantes del mundo, este año celebra su 39º edición siguiendo el hilo de una programación con diversas manifestaciones musicales y artísticas. Los tres grandes pilares del Festival estarán marcados este año por conmemoraciones, dedicadas al 80º cumpleaños de Leo Brouwer, así como el 2º aniversario del fallecimiento de Joaquín Rodrigo. El segundo pilar es Córdoba Patrimonio Mundial, proclamada en cuatro ocasiones por la Unesco y por último, el Flamenco, prolegómeno en la próxima cita trienal del Concurso Nacional de Arte Flamenco de Córdoba. Para la programación de este año, continúa el programa formativo con cursos a cargo de especialistas de la guitarra clásica, flamenca o contemporánea impartidos por destacados profesionales de este instrumento. Entre el profesorado estará presente David Russell, Margarita Escarpa, Leo Brouwer o Manuel Barreco, entre muchos otros…. Para completar esta área, se impartirán clases magistrales a cargo de los afamados guitarristas José Mº Gallardo del Rey y Gerardo Núñez. En esta edición el Festival incorporará nuevos escenarios donde albergar el ciclo de conciertos dedicado a conmemorar el Patrimonio Cultural Cordobés en conjunción con la guitarra. Entre ellos, el yacimiento arqueológico de Madinat Al-Zahara acogerá por primera vez conciertos, así como El Palacio de Viana y su patio de columnas. Los escenarios habituales como el Gran Teatro, Teatro Góngora y Teatro Axerquía se mantendrán. Por último, el 39º Festival de Guitarra de Córdoba no contará solo con estilos clásicos. Rock & roll, artistas como Rozalén o Lucky Peterson también se concentrarán durante estos días para ofrecer espectaculares conciertos llenos de ritmo.

The Cordoba Guitar Festival will be held yet again in the Andalusian city, this year from July 4 to 13. Regarded as one of the most important guitar festivals in the world, this year marks its 39th edition, the programme listing a wide variety of musical and artistic events. The three cornerstones of the Festival this year will include commemorations, on the occasion of Leo Brouwer's 80th birthday and the 2nd anniversary of the death of Joaquín Rodrigo; secondly, Cordoba World Heritage, proclaimed four times by Unesco; and, finally, Flamenco, spotlighted at the Cordoba’s National Flamenco Art Contest, held every three years. FESTIVAL WEEKEND CITY MADRID *una apuesta por la música urbana

Weekend City Madrid hace pública su segunda entrega con una apuesta internacional de las más fuertes de finales de verano. La legendaria banda británica de los 80´ New Order se confirma como cabeza de cartel de este festival. Los días 20 y 21 de septiembre, IFEMA será partícipe de un festival que engloba un ambiente con diversos estilos de música. Para abarcar tantos estilos diferentes, el recinto contará con dos áreas diferenciadas. El área urbana tendrá con dos escenarios dónde poder disfrutar de trap, rap, indie, rock, fusión y mestizaje. Weekend City Madrid también se dirige a un público de nuevas generaciones amantes de la música urbana y sus variantes, es por ello que se confirma uno de los artistas de hip hop más conocidos en los últimos cinco años, Dellafuente. Siguiendo el hilo de los grupos de hip hop del momento, está confirmado el grupo granadino, Ayax y Prok, quienes se han ganado el respeto de todos a base de rap con conciencia, haciendo de la denuncia, canción y de la revolución, arte. El rock&roll contará con otro de los grupos de mayor renombre, Sidecars, banda roquera madrileña, que repite este año. Antílopez se confirma como la banda más ecléctica y original que presentará su último trabajo, Dibujo libre. En cuanto a electrónica, se habilita el escenario Electronic Hall, área donde estarán ubicados los mejores djs nacionales e internacionales del panorama actual. Entre quienes se dan cita dentro de este ambiente estarán Jamie Jones, que propone uno de los lados más cálidos de la electrónica, Henry Sainz con su formato live acompañado de su banda y su último proyecto, Human, y Le Fleur, que pondrá el broche femenino a este panorama electrónico.

Weekend City Madrid makes its second edition public with a major international event at the end of summer. The legendary British band from the 80s, New Order, has been confirmed as the headliner of this festival. On September 20 and 21 IFEMA will host a festival with atmospheres encompassing different styles of music. To span many different styles, the site will boast two different areas. The Urban area will have two stages, for trap, rap, indie, rock and fusion. Weekend City Madrid is also aimed at young audiences who love the different kinds of urban music, so it has booked one of the best known-hip hop artists in recent years: Dellafuente. Along this line of the hottest names in hip-hop today, Granada’s Ayax and Prok have been booked, an act that has earned widespread respect for their socially conscious, even revolution-endorsing music. In the rock and roll department, meanwhile, Madrid rockers Sidecars will be back this year, while the most eclectic and original act will be Antílopez, presenting their latest work: Dibujo libre (Free Drawing). GETXO JAZZ FESTIVAL

Getxo Jazz Festival abre la temporada jazzística en Euskadi del 3 al 7 de julio en su edición número 43 y con una propuesta en la que se podrá disfrutar de grandes actuaciones del género. Entre las diferentes opciones que presenta este festival internacional estarán la Sección “Tercer Milenio”, con los artistas promesa más jóvenes; clases abiertas con conciertos y baile Lindy-Hop, el famoso Kiosko de Cristal, las salvajes jamm sessions y, por último, exposiciones ligadas a todo lo que rodea este estilo musical. Abrirá los conciertos de abono la joven trompetista, saxofonista y compositora Andrea Motis, una de las figuras del jazz estatal con mayor proyección con su primer trabajo en solitario, Emotional Dance. En la segunda jornada, el californiano Julian Lage, un virtuoso guitarrista capaz de crear sonoridades únicas, mostrará al público los caminos por los que discurrirá la guitarra en un futuro muy próximo. En el ecuador del festival estará uno de los pianistas de referencia jazzística, el veterano Kenny Barron. Más tarde, será el turno de Madeleine Peyroux, una de las vocalistas más exitosas del panorama actual, capaz de combinar jazz con otros géneros clásicos e incluso fuentes más contemporáneas como el folk, el pop o el funk. Para finalizar el hilo de grandes actuaciones, estará presente el excepcional Paquito D’Rivera, maestro del latin jazz y cofundador del mítico grupo Irakere. En esta ocasión llega a Getxo en formato de septeto acompañado por un grupo de excelentes músicos dentro de su gira, Cariberian.

spectáculos de calle, conferencias, teatro, danzas, desfiles, mercados, literatura y música renacentistas envuelven la vida de su personaje principal, la Princesa de Eboli. Una de las damas más influyentes de la corte de Felipe II y que en torno a ella gira la temática, narrando cada año un momento de su historia, su vida familiar, sus intrigas en la corte, la muerte de Escobedo, su relación con Felipe II. Su forzoso cautiverio en una de las habitaciones de su propio palacio o las diferencias entre ella y Santa Teresa de Jesús por sus fundaciones en Pastrana. Todo ello nos transporta al momento en que ocurrió la Historia. Historia que se desarrolla en los mismos escenarios en la que fue escrita, un marco privilegiado que se engalana más si puede para la ocasión y donde los trajes de los recreadores son fieles a la época que se representa.

Street shows, talks, theatre, dances, parades, markets, literature and Renaissance music all revolve around the life of its central figure, the Princess of Eboli, one of the most influential ladies at the court of Philip II. She is the focal point of the themes, as every year a chapter of her life, family affairs, and intrigues at court –such as the death of Escobedo, and her relationship with Philip II– are alluded to. Her colourful life included a period of captivity in one of the rooms of her own palace, and clashes with Santa Teresa de Jesus for her foundations in Pastrana. All this transports us back to these historical events. The history is brought back to life in the very same places it occurred, a special site that is decked out for the occasion, and where the reenactors' attire is faithful to the era being represented.

Cuatro días en los que la Villa regresa a su tiempo más glorioso en el siglo de Oro Español. Since 2001 the Festival Ducal de Pastrana, declared of provincewide interest, has been held on the third weekend of July; four days during which the town harks back to and revisits its most glorious time: the Spanish Golden Age.
