Cyber Discovery
Introduce yourself
At the beginning of our adventure with the project we presented our schools and groups participating in the project. We have been divided into international PolishGerman – Spanish teams.
We created the designs of the logo of the project. All the logos were interesting but we had to choose only one! This is our choice.
The partners worked out an online survey for students, teachers and parents of the partner schools. We carried out research on their attitude towards cybernetics and robotics. We worked out the results and drew conclusions.
Research We conducted street opnion polls in Poland, Spain and Germany to assess people's knowledge about the Solar System and preferences in the choice of favourite planet.
We investigatedthe use of ICT and robots in our countries: at homes, schools, neighbourhoods. We made up a radio broadcast and recorded interviews investigating the use of robots in our parents' jobs.

During the project we also conducted research in production companies to assess the level of automation and computerization of production and in a bookshop to investigate popularity of thematic books related to topics of our project.
Robots in our lives & future robots We got knowledge about robots helpful in our everyday lives, robots used in medicine, environment protection, agriculture, robots for disabled people, to discover new planets.

Life on Mars -our expectations How will our life be like in the future? Our team has done Mars exploration. Now, we want to settle down on this planet. How will be life there like? What kind of buildings will we have? What kind of politics, environment, social life and culture will we have? Who will teach us? Will robots dominate all spheres of our lives? These and many other questions bother us today. We realise we are not able to answer all questions at the moment. However, we try to brainstorm ideas about the future and the life on Mars. We share our ideas by means of mind mapping, amimations, comics esseys, etc.
The international Polish- German-Spanish teams cooperated to build the robot using the Lego Mindstorm Education sets. The robot was to Mars to explore the area and check the possibilities for a human being to settle down there. Gradually we sent another robots and devices to the Mars. We used Lego EV3 sets to build them. We created a new settlement and built our Martian City.

GREETINGS FROM MARS! We are really here!
Mars society We created efficiently functioning community of the Martian City. Democratic values were crutial on Mars. We chose a constitution and a president. We designed Martian crest, flag and totem. Cristo Manuel Guerra SĂ nchez - one of the most popular singers in Tenerife and the former student of the Spanish school created a special Mars song for our project -'She's electric'. We introduced Martian money, worked out methods of gaining water, invented new forms of food. Thanks to revolution in building, modern houses were built. Innovative ideas led to the creation of non-conventional learning methods. We organized health service, created new jobs according to the needs of the Martian society. Thanks to a large variety of vehicles transport on Mars was very convenient. Environment protection is a key factor for all the citizens of Mars. Our most important values on Mars were tolerance, acceptance and equality. We accepted all religions and beliefs. People spent their free time, having a wide variety of attractions at their disposal.
Cyber technology on Mars In our cyber town on Mars we have special 3D objects designed by ourselves with the use of exceeding educational standards physics similation 3D program - Golems.
Mars travel agency
We are working in a travel agency on Mars. They are designing brochures about travelling to Mars from the Earth . They also interview their parents about the use of ICT in hotels.

New Year's Eve and New Year on Mars
A very important element of life in the new Martian society became effective learning ability and quick memorization of facts. Mars Society is a high-tech society, and we constitute its part. Life require more from us here, so we have to learn and think differently. Differently means faster and better. Our fate depend on our creativity, because we are looking for methods that will allow us to achieve our aims. That is why the Polish school held a webinar - online workshop on methods of creative thinking and learning. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Mark Szurawski -an interpreter, journalist, passionate sailor and a specialist in the field of comprehensive development of human mental capabilities. Recording the webinar and translating it into English gave us the opportunity to use some practical hints how to learn effectively in the Polish school as well as theschools of the German and Spanish partners. High level of the workshop, very high competences of the lecturer made us impressed. This type of e-learning was a new experience for us , that made us realize the vast power of the human mind and the opportunities that each of us has in themselves.

INTERDISCIPLINARY LESSON - THE SOLAR SYSTEM We conducted series of interdisciplinary lessons combining learning of English with other subjects: Maths, Physiscs, Civics and German. This is an example of a special interdisciplinary lesson of astronomy in English. During the lesson, the students could develop their listening, reading and speaking skills by solving different kinds of tasks.
Universe While working the project, we deepen our knowledge of different subjects. We get to know new facts which we haven't realised with so far. The project makes our minds open. We are open to the world and Universe.
The "Cyber discovery" project is linked with other projects and events in the partner schools such as: "Robot Day", "Techno Disco", "Saving our planet", "Energy Project", "Earth Day", "European Day", "Day of Peace”, "Day of Healthy eating”, Lego workshops, workshops with a reporter, a visit to the “Copernicus Science Centre", a visit to a recycling company, Technology exhibition, conference summarizing the project.
