AMUR LEOPARD The Amur Leopard is an endangered animal. There are only 25 in Sijote – Alin (Siberia). The Amur Leopard is orange, brown and white. They eat meat. Their character is angry. They are endangered because of loss of habitat. The tiger has got stripes and the Amur Leopard spots.

ARTIC FOX The Artic Foxes are endangered animals. They live in the North (Artic), Eurasia and North America. They have small ears, white long fur in winter and when it is summer they change of coat and it becomes shorter and gray. They are omnivores, they eat birds and their eggs but they favorite food is the lemmings. The Artic Fox are active all the year. They are endangered because loss of habitat, hunting and poaching. Today there are about several hundred thousand in the world.

BLACK RHINO My favourite endangered animal is the Black Rhino. They live in Africa. They are black and from brown to grey. The Black Rhinos like grass. They are endangered because of hunting. They have very hard skin. There are 20 Black Rhinos.

THE BORNEAN ORANGUTAN The Bornean Orangutans live in “Bornean” tropical or subtropical places. They have a lot of hair and their face is very big. They eat figs, durians, leaves, seeds, bird eggs, flowers and honey. They are endangered because of fires, loss of habitat, hunting and poaching. And they are stronger than Red Pandas. Nowadays there are 54,500 “Bornean Orangutans”.

BROWN SPIDER MONKEY Brown Spider Monkeys live in the Colombia and Venezuela’s North forest. In appearance they are light and dark brown. They eat soil, fruit and termites. The Brown Spider Monkeys are in danger because of loss of habitat, poaching and pollution. They are spindly and their tails are long The population is estimated to have decreased by at least 80%. A small population of fewer than 30 individuals has been discovered in a protected area of Colombia, the Selva de Florencia National Park.

JAVAN RHINO They live in the tropical forests Ung Kulon National Park in Java, Indonesia. The Javan Rhinos are dusky grey and they have a single horn of up to about 10 inches. Their skin has a number of loose folds giving the appearance of armor plating. The Javan rhino is herbivores and also eat meat. This species are very similar in appearance to some rhinoceros, but they have a much smaller head and less apparent skin folds They are endangered because of hunting, poaching, disease and natural disasters.
Vietnam’s last Javan Rhino was poached in 2010. Javan rhinos are the most threatened of the five rhino species, and there are only 60 individuals in Ujung Kulon National Park in Java, Indonesia.

MONARCH BUTTERFLY My favourite endangered animal is the Monarch Butterfly. They travel between 1,200 and 2,800 miles or more from the United States and Canada to central Mexican forests. Adult monarch butterflies have two pairs of brilliant orange-red wings, featuring black veins and white spots along the edges. They especially like to drink from mushy slices of banana, oranges and watermelon.

SUMATRA ORANGUTAN The Sumatra Orangutan live in Sumatra. The two species of orangutan, Bornean and Sumatran, differ a little in appearance and behavior. While both have shaggy reddish fur, Sumatran orangutans have longer facial hair. Sumatran orangutans are reported to have closer social bonds than their Bornean cousins. Bornean orangutans are more likely to descend from the trees to move around on the ground. They eat fruit and barks. They are in danger because of loss of habitat. Now there are about 45,000-69,000 Bornean Orangutans (Endangered) and about 7,500 (Critically Endangered) Sumatran Orangutans.

WHITE RHINO White Rhinos live in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. White Rhinos are the second largest land mammals. Also known as the square-lipped rhinoceros, white rhinos have a square upper lip with almost no hair. White Rhinos are herbivores; they only eat vegetation, and will never eat meat. Northern white rhinos and southern white rhinos are genetically different and are found in two different regions in Africa. In 1895 a small population of less than 100 individuals Southern White Rhinos was discovered in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Today there are more than 20,000 animals.
