AFRICAN WILD DOG My favourite endangered animal is the African Wild Dog. They live in the forest, grasslands and desert in the costal East Africa. They are 30 inches high, and they weigh 40-56 pounds. They are predators that hunt medium-sized ruminants such as gazelles. Wild dogs are social and they live in groups of ten individuals. They are endangered because of hunting and loss of habitat. Today there are 6,600 African Wild Dogs.



ARTIC WOLF My favourite endangered animal is the Artic Wolf. They live in cold lands in Canada and Greenland. They are born grey and three months later they become completely white. They live between 10 and 20 years. They are almost always in herds, in groups. They are carnivores. They only change of couple if one of the two dies. They are about 1.80m long, and


they weigh between 45 and 70kg. They are endangered because of industrial development and climate change.


BENGAL TIGER • My favourite endangered animal is the Bengal Tiger. • They live in India. • They have got strong teeth and they have got an orange tail with black rings. • Their favourite food is meat. • They are dangerous. • They are endangered because


of hutting and forest destruction. • Today there are about 4,000 Bengal tigers.


BLACK PANTHER My favourite endangered animal is the Black Panther. The Black Panther is a large animal of the Big Cat family. They live in forests and grasslands in Asia, Africa and America. They are black. Their favourite food is meat. They are generally very quiet and they have got a nocturnal lifestyle.


They are endangered because of loss of habitat and hunting.


BLACK RINHO My favourite endangered animal is the Black Rhino. They live in Africa. They have got very big teeth and two horns, one short and a longer one. Their favourite food is plants and fruits. They are dangerous. They are endangered because of poaching. There are three, one male and two


females today.


ELEPHANT My favourite endangered animal is the Elephant. These Elephants live in Sub Saharan Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia. They have got 26 teeth, big ears and 2.6cm of skin.


Their favourite food is vegetables and fruits. Elephants are terrestrial animals. The Elephants are endangered because of loss of habitat and pollution. There are about 700.000-450.000.


GORILLA My favourite endangered animal is the Gorilla. They live in the tropical rain forest of Africa. They are big and they have small ears. They are fat. They have a vegetal diet, feeding of stem, bamboo


shoots and fruits. They are endangered because of poaching, disease and habitat destruction. There are about 150.00 gorillas.


HARE : My favourite endangered animal is the hare.

THEY LIVE: Hares usually live in dry areas with lots of bush. They live in burrows.

APPEARANCE: Hares are stylized animals and their legs are very developed for the race. The ears are generally long.

FOOD: Hares are herbivorous animals. They eat not only herbs, but also mushrooms, roots and, in some cases, cereals.

CHARACTER: They are solitary. They are generally calm and docile animals, as hares spend most of their time resting and foraging for food.


WHY THEY ARE IN DANGER: They are endangered because predators, hunting or loss of habitat.

HOW THEY COMPARE WITH ANOTHER ANIMAL: Hares are bigger than rabbits. Hares are more solitary than rabbits.


HIPPO My favourite endangered animal is the Hippo. They live in Africa.

They are very big and they have got small ears. They eat grass.


They are endangered because of loss of habitat and other animals.

There are 215.000 hippos today.


JAGUAR My favourite endangered animal is the Jaguar. The Jaguars live in the tropical jungles. They are yellowish or orange with black spots. They are carnivorous and will always prefer to attack big preys than small, because they know that with big prey they have much more food. They are endangered because of hunting and loss of habitat. There are only 64 thousand jaguars in the world, more or less.

MOUNTAIN GORILLA My favourite endangered animal is the Mountain Gorilla. Mountain Gorillas live in Africa. They are black and they have got short ears. The Mountain Gorillas eat vegetables so they are omnivores. They are domineering and organized comparing with the original gorilla. They are endangered because of loss of habitat, poaching and hunting.


Today there are several hundred mountain gorillas.


POLAR BEARS My favourite endangered animal is the Polar Bear. Polar Bears live in the Artic. They are white, big. They have got big teeth and they are strong. They haven’t got small legs. Their favourite food is seal. Polar Bears are dangerous. They are endangered because the polar ice is melting and people hunt them. There are 24,000 today.



RED PANDA My favourite endangered animal is the Red Panda. They live in Nepal and north Myanmar, in the mountains. They are red or brown. Their legs are black.

Red Pandas eat bamboo, fruits, acorns, roots, birds, insects and eggs.


They are endangered because of: poaching, accidental trapping and illegal pet trade. Red Pandas are not related to the Giant Panda. There are between 2.500 and 10.000 in the word today.


RED WOLF

My favourite endangered animal is the Red Wolf. They live in Florida and the South-eastern United States. They have got grey or black mixed with red fur.


Their favourite food is rabbit and deer.

They are endangered because of loss of habitat and hunting.


THE RHINO My favourite endangered animal is the Rhino. They live in water and in fields. They are grey and big, they have got short legs and also a horn. They eat shrubs and crops. They are sociable. They are endangered because of the hunters. Comparing with the White Rhino they are bigger. Today there are 29,000 Rhinos.



Snow Leopard My favourite endangered animal is the Snow Leopard.

They live in cold high mountains in Eastern Himalayas. They have got a short nose, and large paws. Their favourite food is meat.


They are endangered because of climate change. Today there are 4,080-6,590 Snow Leopards.


TIGER My favourite endangered animal is the Tiger. They live in Asia. They are big and they have small ears. They are carnivores; they eat the meat of animals that they catch. They are endangered because of loss of habitat. There are about 3.200 today.



TREE KANGAROO My favourite animal is the Tree Kangaroo. They live in tropical rainforests in Australia. They are approximately 41 -77cm. They are brown and red with stripes in the face and tail. The Tree Kangaroo are endangered because of loss of habitat.



WHALE My favourite endangered animal is the Whale. They live in oceans, in Polar Regions in Southern Chile, Arctic, The Galรกpagos, Coral Triangle, Gulf of California, Coastal East Africa. They eat zooplankton and small fishes. They are mammals. The Whales sing to communicate with other whales and they swim very fast. The Whales are much bigger than other animals. They are more dangerous than other animals. They are endangered because of industry, commercial whaling and climate change. There are 640.000 whales in the world today.
