Le 11 Gallerie associate ANGAMC di Firenze e Prato scelgono di inaugurare sabato 18 ottobre una mostra in-contemporanea dalle 12 pm alle 12 am per un evento della durata di 12 h. L’intento è di dedicare una giornata all’Arte moderna e contemporanea nella quale dare l’opportunità agli interessati, ai collezionisti, agli appassionati di partecipare ad un evento che si svolge nell’arco dell’intera giornata, offrendo così ad ognuno la possibilità di organizzarsi per visitare le diverse esposizioni nelle singole gallerie. The National Association of Modern and Contemporary Art Galleries hosts a 12-hour art event on Saturday, October 18 that runs from 12 pm until 12 am and extends across 11 galleries in Florence and Prato. 12x12 Gallerie In-Contemporanea is dedicated to sharing modern and contemporary art for a day by offering art lovers and collectors the chance to visit the diverse exhibitions showcased by each gallery. -----------------------------------------------------------

18.10.014 - 20.12.014 opening_18.10.014 h 6 pm Il filo conduttore della personale di Vittorio Corsini (Cecina, Livorno, 1956) alla Galleria Alessandro Bagnai, è il Paesaggio. Esso è qui inteso come forma di conoscenza, come continuità tra mondo e mente e, grazie ad esso, la ferita dell’esistenza si rimargina. Le opere principali realizzate per la mostra sono una casa che scivola, quadri monocromi tagliati nel mezzo da una luce, un orto specchiante e una montagna dalla quale sgorga inchiostro nero. I materiali impiegati sono il vetro, l’acciaio inox, la luce, i colori. Grazie a questo improbabile connubio di materiali i soggetti si astraggono, il pensiero va oltre il dato fisico e spaziale, per ricongiungersi col Paesaggio, nel suo senso più profondo, appunto, “reaching the landscape”. The main theme in Vittorio Corsini’s (Cecina, Livorno, 1956) exhibition at Galleria Alessandro Bagnai is Landscape. It is meant to be in continuity with our minds. While we establish a relationship with Landscape, the fracture between this and us is solved; the wound of our existence heals. The main works realized for this exhibition are: a house in the act of sliding, monochrome paintings split in the middle by a light, a mirrored vegetable patch and a white mountain with flowing black ink. Materials employed are: glass, stainless steel, light, colour. The subjects of Corsini’s works and their abstraction due to the use of unlikely materials, allow a crossing. Thought goes beyond, reaching the landscape, in its deepest meaning.

11.10.014 - 03.12.014 opening_18.10.014 h 6 pm La pittura di Mario Schifano incontra il teatro totale di Carmelo Bene. Terzo protagonista Claudio Abate, uno dei maggiori fotografi italiani viventi. Il titolo “Umani non umani” si ispira al film che Schifano realizzò nel 1971, per il quale Bene recitò in un episodio insieme a Lydia Mancinelli. Sono presenti circa 50 fotografie che Abate scattò a Bene durante il loro sodalizio tra il 1963 ed il 1973. Le fotografie sono messe a confronto con importanti opere di Schifano dello stesso periodo: dai Monocromi alle Televisioni, dalle Palme alle Stelle, oltre ad una cinepresa dipinta che il capostipite della Pop Art italiana usò e dipinse. La mostra, ideata e curata da Nicola Davide Angerame, insieme alla Galleria d’Arte Frediano Farsetti, è realizzata in collaborazione con Whitelabs Milano. The paintings of Mario Schifano meets the total theater of Carmelo Bene. The third protagonist is Claudio Abate, one of the greatest living Italian photographers. The title “Umani non umani” recalls the film that Schifano created in 1971, for which Bene starred in an episode with Lydia Mancinelli. There are about 50 photographs that Abate snapped to Bene during their fellowship between 1963 and 1973. The photographs are placed “face to face” with Schifano important works of the same period: from Monocromi to Televisioni, from Palme to Stelle, and the Painted Film Machine that the founder of Italian Pop Art used and painted. The exhibition, conceived and curated by Nicholas David Angerame, along with the Art Gallery Frediano Farsetti, is made in collaboration with Whitelabs Milan.

“ Stilemi moderni “ è un confronto a due tra Alessandro Mendini e Francesco Caberlon. Un confronto sviluppato in un territorio linguistico di confine, dove arte e progetto, pittura e graphic design si incontrano, rivelando per un attimo quell’alfabeto comune a tutte le discipline visive, che sono appunto “gli stilemi”. A questo si aggiunge poi l’attivazione “ moderni “, che inserisce nel contesto visivo il fattore tempo, o meglio, il fattore “storia”: e sul difficile concetto di “moderno”, nell’evoluzione del suo significato, soprattutto Mendini ha costruito molta parte della sua riflessione teorico-pratica ( se non altro per virtù anagrafica: più di una generazione lo separa da Caberlon) e l’ha proposta attraverso tavole e oggetti, molti dei quali presenti in mostra. Allo stesso modo, Caberlon presenta una serie di tecniche miste in cui gli stilemi-anche qui- si rincorrono, e ripropongono la memoria di un apparato visivo ormai entrato a far parte della nostra quotidianità. “Stilemi moderni” is a two-way comparison between Alessandro Mendini and Francesco Caberlon. A comparison performed on the edge of a linguistic territory, where art and drawing, painting and graphic design meet, for a moment revealing that alphabet common to all the visual disciplines, namely stylistic motifs or “stilemi”. Then, the adjective “modern” is added to this, inserting the time factor, or rather the “history” factor, into the visual context: and on the difficult concept of “modern”, in the evolution of its meaning, Medini in particular has built a large part of his theoretical-practical reflection (if nothing else, for reasons of birth: more than a generation separates him from Caberlon) and has proposed it through panels and objects, many of which are present in the exhibition. In the same way, Caberlon presents a series of mixed techniques in which the motifs follow on from each other, and conjure up the memory of a visual device that has now become part of our everyday life.

FUORI TUTTO indica un’uscita, una proiezione, una disseminazione della creatività: è un’opera d’arte “in formazione”, un nucleo di tele realizzate dall’artista con la partecipazione attiva del pubblico invitato a rielaborarle in chiave di relazione e co-autorialità. In mostra saranno inoltre esposti due distinti cicli di opere, I maestri del colore, omaggio-dialogo con le icone della storia dell’arte riprodotte nella famosa collana di Fratelli Fabbri editori, e Neri, una nuova riflessione sul concetto di “distruzione” in cui macchie nere invadono lo spazio costruito dalle parole. Frittelli Arte Contemporanea presents FUORI TUTTO, a new exhibition of the artist, poet and novelist Nanni Balestrini. FUORI TUTTO suggests a way out, a projection, a dissemination of creativity: it’s an artwork “in progress”, a nucleus of canvas created by the artist with the active partecipation of the audience, invited to re-elaborate them in terms of relationship and co-authority. The exhibition will also display two distinct cycles of works, I Maestri del Colore, homage-dialogue with the icons of art history reproduced in the famous series of Fratelli Fabbri editori, and Neri, a new reflection on the concept of “destruction” in which black spots invade the space built from words.

18.10.014 - 28.11.014 opening_18.10.014 h 7 pm Seguire il processo di definizione dell’idea chiave all’interno del percorso di un’artista è un’avventura che attraverso questa mostra si può ripercorrere per Rodolfo Aricò. Dopo una prima esperienza in ambito informale e un successivo avvicinamento al lavoro di Arshile Gorky e Robert Delaunay, Aricò intraprende un processo di oggettivazione della pittura che lo conduce, nella seconda metà degli anni Sessanta, a risultati affini alle coeve sperimentazioni d’oltreoceano (dall’Astrazione Post-pittorica al Minimalismo), ma con caratteristiche del tutto originali. La specificità del suo lavoro risiede nell’associare la sensibilità del colore con il rigore di una forma che pian piano prende volume sulla tela fino a divenire oggetto tridimensionale (o “shaped canvas”), illusionisticamente in espansione nello spazio. Following the definition process of the key idea within an artist’s oeuvre is an adventure that for Rodolfo Aricò can be experienced through this exhibition of his work. After a first experience in the sphere of Art Informel, and subsequent approach to the work of Arshile Gorky and Robert Delaunay, Aricò undertook a process to objectivise painting which, in the second half of the 1960s, led to similar results to the experiments going on at that time across the Atlantic (from Post-Painterly Abstraction to Minimalism), but with wholly original characteristics. The specific feature of his work is the sensitivity of the colour alongside the rigour of a form that gradually takes shape on the canvas until it becomes a three-dimensional object (or “shaped canvas”) that seems to be expanding in space.

Coltissimo e studioso, sciamano e scienziato insieme, Jenkins appare, anno dopo anno, come uno dei maggiori protagonisti dell’arte del Novecento. Le 70 opere su tela e carta che compongono questa mostra sono il frutto di un lavoro profondo e preciso, che attraverso lo scorrere degli anni rende onore a un maestro che, tra Europa e Stati Uniti, unisce questi due mondi, regalando una misura unica, riconoscibile e inimitabile: la forza stessa della pittura. A little more than two years after his passing, the Galleria Open Art and the Museo di Pittura Murale in San Domenico, both of Prato, dedicate to Paul Jenkins a retrospective exhibition which reveals unusual aspects of his early work. Cultivated and well read, shaman and “scientist”, over the years Jenkins has come to be viewed as one of the major figures in twentieth-century art. The 70 works on canvas and paper which constitute this exhibition are the result of a profound endeavor to honor a master who over the years in Europe and the US, brought together these two parts of the world through the distinctive and inimitable force of his painting.

La mostra propone un’antologia di oltre venti fotografie, datate fra gli anni Settanta e l’inizio degli anni Novanta, di uno dei più importanti maestri della fotografia del XX secolo. In contemporanea la galleria Poggiali e Forconi ospita, nel suggestivo spazio della sua project room, Monochrome la personale dell’artista romano Danilo Bucchi che espone per la prima volta a Firenze le sue ultime opere realizzate appositamente per la galleria, contraddistinte da un marcato segno grafico che resta inseparabilmente legato ad un’attenta ricerca formale e stilistica. The Poggiali e Forconi gallery of Florence is presenting a show dedicated to Luigi Ghirri (1943-1992) curated by Angela Madesani. The exhibition proposes an anthology of over twenty photographs, dated between the 70s and the early 90s, by one of the most important masters of 20th century photography. 25.09.014 - 30.12.014 opening_18.10.014 L’artista newyorchese Richard Dupont dopo importanti riconoscimenti negli Stati Uniti ed aver esposto in Korea, Svizzera (Art Basel), Germania, Svezia ed Inghilterra, approda per la prima volta in Italia con una mostra personale presso il nostro spazio espositivo. Egli conduce da circa un decennio una ricerca all’avanguardia nel campo delle arti lavorando a partire dalla tecnica di stampa 3D. Il corpo dell’artista diviene l’oggetto da esaminare, scansionare, manipolare tramite speciali software e stampanti; le copie digitali che ne derivano divengono il modello per la creazione di una vasta gamma di lavori, dalla scultura all’incisione, dall’installazione al disegno, fino alla pittura. Un processo complesso durante il quale materiali e tecniche tradizionali come il gesso o le colate di bronzo si alternano a materiali e tecniche di fabbricazione estremamente sperimentali come la scansione digitale, il silicone e il poliuretano fuso. The New Yorker artist Richard Dupont, after being awarded important prizes in the United States, and having exhibited his works in Korea, Switzerland (Art Basel), in Germany, Sweden and the United Kingdom, lands for the first time in Italy with a personal exhibition in our gallery. He has been carrying on for about 10 years innovative research in the arts, starting from 3D printing technics. The body of the artist becomes the object to examine, scan, manipulate through special software and printers; the digital copies that result from this process are used as models for a wide range of works, starting with sculpture to engraving, from the installation to the drawing, and painting. A complex process during which materials and traditional technics such as plaster or castings of bronze alternate with materials and production technics Extremely experimental like digital scanning, silicon, and melted polyurethane.

18.10.014 - 13.11.014 opening_18.10.014 h 4 pm Tino Stefanoni mette in fila, in una sua personale enciclopedia, i piccoli oggetti e stupori della vita. I paesaggi o le nature morte che, dalla metà degli anni ’80 a oggi, costituiscono gran parte lavoro dell’artista, hanno la metafisica distanza dal reale. Non vogliono spiegare, raccontare ma rappresentare uno stato delle COSE. Le immagini diventano vere e proprie icone contemporanee. I personaggi di Nando Crippa, scultore lombardo che adopera la terracotta colorata, hanno rigore e assolutezza in una forma che evolve, ma non si rivela mai completamente. Sono piccoli uomini alti pressappoco 30 centimetri e non vogliono crescere. Vogliono restare dei quasi giocattoli semplicemente perché non ce n’è bisogno e non se ne avverte la necessità. La sua è una narrazione interrotta, ellittica, un “ film still “ tridimensionale, tragicamente ludico. Tino Stefanoni puts in a row, in his personal encyclopedia, small objects and wonders of life. Still lifes or landscapes that, since the mid-80s to today, are largely the work of the artist, have the metaphysical distance from reality. They do not want to explain or tell something, but represent the state of THINKS. The images becomes real contemporary icons. The characters of Nando Crippa, Lombard sculptor who uses the colored terracotta, have rigor and absoluteness in a form that evolves, but never reveals itself fully. They are small men tall about 30 cm and they do not want to grow up. They want to stay almost the toys simply because there is not need and we do not feel the need. His is an interrupted narrative , elliptical, a “film still” three-dimensional, tragically playful.

Questa presenta un’accurata selezione di opere di tre artisti contemporanei Enrico Benetta, Francesca Pasquali e Luigi Carboni. La speranza è di rendere Via Maggio un centro dinamico aperto alle ricerche contemporanee, diventando vetrina per artisti giovani con collettive ed esposizioni personali; questo permetterà alla galleria principale sul Lungarno Cellini numero 3, di portare avanti il programma di mostre legate alle ricerche storiche e internazionali del XX secolo.
