Impact Investments

Amount given total = $300,000 | Six Awardees = $50,000 Each

Each year as part of the 5% of profits we give to help support children in need, we award $50,000 Impact Investments to six nonprofit organizations that focus on basic needs, education and illness/disability.

Organizations are invited to apply, including those whose primary language is English or Spanish. Then our selection committee—made up of employees trained in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles—narrows the candidates down to 18 finalists. Each Gas South employee is then given a vote to determine who the final six recipients will be.

In addition to the $300,000 in Impact Investments that went out this year, Gas South invested $25,000 in a peer learning experience with the Georgia Center for Nonprofits to help the 12 finalists not selected accelerate their impact.
