On the streets of New York, stylist Jessie Ajluni and photographer Gail Job collaborated to capture the beauty of model Emma Gu from Wilhelmina Models. Makeup artist Norah Salazar and hairstylist Lauren Berrones contributed to Emma’s flawless looks (p72).

In another part of the city, photographer Jaime Pavon and stylist Mimi Lombardo showcased model Wioletta Rudko in chic looks enhanced by the brilliant artistry of Lindsey M on both hair and makeup (p54). Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, seasoned GENLUX photographer Andrew Matusik, armed with AI, transported models Cameron Woods and Helen Hogedal into digital wonderlands for a beauty story with makeup artist Brittany Paige from Celestine Agency (p48). When it comes to product photography, the dynamic duo of James T. Murray and Yuco Lacovara in New York consistently delivers stunning imagery. Leveraging the power of AI, they created a genius set of Christmas ornaments filled with holiday gift ideas (p42). While Felloni gracefully declined my plea for an aria, he did share his artistic flair by sketching a Roger Vivier pump with a signature comma heel on a napkin “borrowed” from the Chateau Marmont. ne of the glorious perks of being part of GENLUX is the opportunity to connect with passionate creatives. Recently, I had the pleasure of having lunch with Gherardo Felloni, the creative director of Roger Vivier, who was in town for a dinner in his honor hosted by Laura Brown and Kiernan Shipka (p36). Over truffle fries at Chateau Marmont, Felloni shared insights into his life and passions, revealing his former training as a tenor. “I would love to be an opera singer,” he told me. Envisioning the potential viral video moment, I made a half-hearted plea for an impromptu aria. Felloni diverted my request by sharing his excitement for this January in Paris when Roger Vivier showcases their new bespoke handbags (prices start at $50,000) for their VIP clientele. These are works of art, with only two made of each design—one for sale and the other archived. Freed from the parsimony of budgeting for mass production, Felloni enjoys creative freedom to craft heirloom-worthy pieces. “Artists get frustrated that they cannot do what they want to do,” Felloni says. “But in this case, there is no limitation due to manufacturing cost.”

he show stealer of the intimate Roger Vivier and Gherardo Felloni holiday dinner hosted by Laura Brown and Kiernan Shipka wasn’t Ines de la Fressange, Alexandra Daddario, Zooey Deschanel, Alexandra Shipp, or even Kate Beckinsale. It was the location itself —the 10,277-square-foot, Italian Revivaldesigned Villa de Leon that overlooks the Pacific Ocean in the Palisades. The residence, built in 1928, once played backdrop to Beyonce’s Haunted and Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi videos. “Shoes are like architecture,” says Felloni, who fancies French and Italian jewelry from 1830-1860. “Did you know that Roger Vivier invented the stiletto heel by putting a steel rod inside?” The dinner, honoring Felloni—the brand’s creative director since 2018—was staged in the grand salon, the mansion’s 64-foot-long room with crystal chandeliers, mahogany paneling, and soaring coffered ceilings. The beautiful guests—all decked out in elegant Roger Vivier shoes and handbags—included Danai Gurira, Jurnee Smollett, Camille Razat, Lana Condor, Lily Rabe, Sarah Shahi, Jaz Sinclair, Rachel Zoe, Larsen Thompson, Anna Diop, Christine Chiu, Audrey Corsa, and Bella Heathcote. A blonde-bobbed Allison Janney looked striking in a black tuxedo, heavy blackframe glasses, and Roger Vivier black satin bouquet strass buckle pumps. G

It ain’t easy being a Bravo Housewife—why with all the constant drama, bickering, and mean girls— but RHONY franchise star Jessel Taank took her licks and claims she’s in for the long haul, or, well, for at least one more season. The British-born fashion publicist, wife, and mother of twin boys appreciates her role as the first woman of Indian descent to appear on the show. She wants to showcase her culture to the fans. More to the point, she’s also recently ventured into a new business called OUSHQ , an e-commerce platform to bring Indian-designed fashion to the world. A portion of the proceeds benefit Citta, a charity that builds schools for impoverished kids. —Stephen Kamifuji

First job? I kept hearing about my two uncles making a name for themselves as photographers in the New York fashion world. My uncle, Max Vadukul, was the first photographer to shoot for Yohji Yamamoto. So after I went to Kings College in London, I called Uncle Max and asked, can I visit you for a few weeks to learn the fashion business? It was a sliding door moment— because I ended up in New York and never returned home. I also worked with my Uncle Nitin Vadukul.

Best trait? I never say no, so I’m always down for an opportunity, or if you need me, I’m loyal. Your FOMO? I’m the person who almost always fears missing out. That goes for anything—even if I get a call and miss it—I go into FOMO mode. Change up? I have to learn to prioritize, focus, and be more present. Happiest moment? When I found out I was pregnant because I struggled with pregnancy for several years. Funny story: I always wanted twins and firmly believed in manifesting things to happen, so I bought two baby onesies even before I started getting pregnant. If I had these two in a bag, maybe it’d come true. So when

Your background? I am British, born of Indian descent. I grew up on the outskirts of London in a small town, Harrow on the Hill, home of the country’s most prestigious boy’s school, the Harrow School. My parents are from Kenya. My mom has two brothers. Growing up Indian has its complications because we grew up with a very strict path of being a lawyer, doctor, or investment banker, but I knew from a young age I wanted to do something creative.

You’re wearing? Haha! I didn’t know I had to dress up for our phone call. I’m in oversized baggy jeans by Agolde, and a Stella McCartney cropped turtleneck. I’m wearing Bombas socks. They’re kinda amazing. I first bought them for my twins and loved them. So then I got some for me and my husband.

Own show? I haven’t watched it since the first time. I think that it’s hard to watch. I’m too self-critical. Why did I wear that? Why did I do my makeup like that? Embarrassing moment? I have a lot. I think I’m very clumsy. I can be standing still and get hit by a ball. Your passion? Style and fashion! I love getting into the psyche of creative minds. What makes creative geniuses tick? Everyday style? It’s hard because while I’d love to parade around in gowns, but the reality is I have two kids, so most often I’m in jeans and a T-shirt. Things get dirty. Like right now, I have maple syrup on my jeans. Guilty pleasure? Watching Love Island. It’s fascinating. Binge-watching? Sex in the City, Friends, White Lotus. Anything that’s escapism.

Charity support? I’m involved with Citta. It’s run by an incredible man by the name of Michael Daube. Currently, the organization is building schools for impoverished children in India. Providing education gives these children a way out of their current economic situation. It gives opportunity and hope. I’m launching a company called OUSHQ (pronounced OOSHK). Many people identify culture with food, traditions, or music. I identify through fashion. I dress in Indian clothes, so I wanted to create a platform that brings Indian designers to the United States. I’m launching this week. We have a lot of exciting designers. Many people aren’t exposed to the amazing amount of talent coming out of India, so I’m creating this platform to give them a voice in the global community. A portion of the profits will benefit Citta. Oushq meaning? It means endless or timeless in Arabic. Fashion is timeless. Often, it’s a memory of something you wore or a piece you keep forever, like a wedding gown. New Year’s Resolution? To stop being a people pleaser. I’m afraid of letting people down, but ultimately, I let myself down. Five years? I want to be running my successful e-commerce platform and continue to share my life with the world through television or otherwise. I’d like to have a third child if I have enough will. At the moment, we’re a bit tapped out. G
