Dr. Mian N. Riaz Texas A&M University

Spencer Lawson Wenger

Dr. Mian N. Riaz is the Director of the Process Engineering R&D Center (formally Food Protein R&D Center), Head of Extrusion Technology Program, and Professor in the Nutrition and Food Science Department at Texas A&M University, USA. He has published 5 books, 22 chapters and more than 100 papers on extrusion and other related topics. Dr. Riaz is a frequent speaker at international and national conferences and meetings and so far he has delivered more than 300 presentations in 55 countries.

Spencer Lawson received a Bachelor of Science degree in 2006 from Kansas state University. After having worked in the feed and pelleting industry for 2 years, he has been employed with Wenger since 2008. For the past four years he has been exclusively involved with the process technology for extrusion in livestock feed systems. Spencer actively speaks at university short courses and industry seminars as well as traveling globally in the extrusion industry.

Thomas Ellegaard Mohr Andritz Feed & Biofuel

Will holds over 20 years of experience in extrusion technologies, extrusion process automation, and companion animal feeds. In his academic capacity, he has led a number of extrusion workshops at Texas A&M University, Kansas State University, University of Agriculture Islamabad, and Watt Publishing. He also has a wealth of experience in speaking at international extrusion conferences.

Thomas holds a degree in marine engineering and technology management. He joined ANDRITZ Feed & Biofuel in 2015, before joining ANDRITZ Thomas has been working within the process industry since 2008, as Installation & Commissioning Engineer, Technical Advisor and Sales Manager, before being hired as Global Application & Sales Manager at ANDRITZ Feed & Biofuel, with focus on extrusion technology.

Geoffroy Berthe Technical Service Manager, Kemin Nutrisurance Geoffroy joined Kemin in January 2016 as Technical Service Manager for Nutrisurance EMEA. In this role, he has responsibility to provide technical support to Pet food customers on palatability by increasing products’ performances. Prior to Kemin, worked more than 15 years in Pet food area for different companies such as Royal Canin and Nestlé Purina in a variety of roles within R&D and Technical Application Group.
