The President of EYP Georgia is not an autocratic figure who can or should think and act for everyone else. In fact, the decision-making method in the Board of the National Committee puts the President in the same position as each member of the board. Thus the plans I am going to outline in my vision will be discussed and possibly revised by the whole board of our NC later.

Aims for the upcoming year Human Resources

Enlargement of the committee;

More frequent usage of Skype interviews;

Putting the existing evaluation forms to use;

Creating evaluation forms for the NC members.

International Coordinator



Closer communication with the organising teams of the sessions we will be sending delegations to especially regarding their specific policies; Preparative meetings with delegations prior to their departure for sessions; Sending delegations to as many sessions as possible.

Fundraising 

Allocating pairs of the committee members to applying for one grant; Charge one member of the committee with the responsibility to keep the team updated about all the important programs and deadlines; Use the contacts we have made so far effectively and make compromises for the sake of keeping sponsors happy; Strong cooperation with the PR committee and Media Teams at sessions for the publicity of sponsors.

Regional Development 

Active communication with local self-government for the sake of effective fund-raising; Getting in touch with the local youth NGOs with the same values who could help us attract delegates at our regional sessions and outreach weekends;

 

Cooperation with schools and universities located in regions through the Ministry of Education.

Public Relations 

TV coverage of ideally every event of ours; Working actively to increase the amount of people who have “liked” our Facebook page; Getting more subscribers to our Google group for all the updates; Producing a monthly newsletter.

Project for the upcoming year As I have written in my application for the membership of the BNC already, I intend to change the structure of ur NC and bring it up to speed to more developed NCs. By changing the structure, I mean enlarging the NC not by 10, 20 or 30 members, but allowing every single individual who has attended our session become a member of the National Committee. One would think that in this case the NC membership would lose its value, but by transforming the current NC to the Executive Body of the National Committee (concrete name of which we can come up with later), thus distinguishing it from regular members, it will gain even more “weight.” All would agree, that the upper-mentioned step is too big to make at once. That is why we need to prepare a firm basis for

the transformation this year so that the next board can complete the metamorphosis. By “strong basis” I mean creating alumni group consisting of 30-60 active alumni who will be the first ones informed about activities outside EYP where our organisation will need representation. Considering that the current NC members are quite busy with the duties within and outside the NC, plus there are very few of us, finding time for projects other than our sessions has proved to be difficult. That is why the group of alumni will be useful to us not only as a stepping stone to a new structure of the NC, but it will also improve our representation outside EYP.
